Gymnastic exercises for children. Classes with a child of five or six years old Exercises for children of 5 years old

Recreational gymnastics complexes for children 4-5 years old

The motor abilities of 4–5 year old children create real prerequisites for the formation of movements in a generalized form and the ability to single out individual elements of movement (direction, speed, amplitude, etc.). So, in walking and running, along with exercises to develop the ability to navigate in space, move in a certain direction, new tasks appear - find your place in the column, form in pairs, maintain the shape of a circle while moving, walk on toes.

General developmental exercises become more complicated and their load (number of repetitions) increases slightly. However, one of the most important requirements in the physical education of children remains - maintaining the correct posture, strengthening large muscle groups, and a consistent transition from one starting position to another.

In the fifth year of a child's life, and especially due to the repeated repetition of walking exercises, all structural elements of walking achieve good results - a certain rhythm of walking is established, the length of the step increases, overall coordination improves, and the movements of the arms and legs become more coordinated. At the same time, shortcomings are also observed in walking: parallel setting of the feet, shuffling of the legs, movements of the arms and legs are not always energetic, the shoulders are lowered, and the pace of movement is uneven.

Compared with the previous age group, the development of exercises in running occurs faster in children than in walking, since it is easier for them to master the fast pace of movement.

In most children of the fifth year of life, the rhythm of running appears, the ability to alternate it with other types of movements, speed increases, and spatial orientation improves. Children quite quickly change the direction of movement at the signal of the teacher: they run around obstacles, adhere to a given pace. However, as in walking, multiple repetitions of exercises are necessary in running. Not all elements of running technique in a 4–5 year old child are correct and well expressed. The hands are still inactive, the step remains short and uneven, and the flight is small.

The structure of health-improving gymnastics complexes for children aged 4–5 years is developed in accordance with generally accepted requirements: at the beginning, walking and running are carried out in the usual or game version, then general developmental exercises follow without objects and with small physical equipment (balls, ropes, sticks, cubes, etc.). d.), in conclusion, to reduce motor activity - walking exercises or a game of low intensity.

A new generation of parents, brought up in the era of the heyday of information technology, begins to introduce their children to all kinds of "developers" almost from the cradle, and this gives good results. But for children 5-6 years old, developmental activities are no less important, even if these children already know how to read and count, not to mention the free use of modern gadgets.

Psychology of the senior preschooler: transitional age

Psychologists say that at the turn of 5-6 years a person begins to realize himself as a person. He already seems to be old enough, learns to communicate with peers, makes permanent friends. And at the same time, a willingness to consciously learn something begins to appear. It is during this period that it is important to begin to cultivate in him the habit of long studies, which will be very useful at school.

Little fidgets do not want to sit at their desks for a long time, thinking about logical problems, and this is natural. A child at 5 years old needs a regular release of energy much more than an adult. To keep the attention of children and direct it in the right direction, learning should be carried out in a playful way, and games can be mobile.

Enroll a preschooler in a sports section, dancing or gymnastics: so the baby can spend his excess energy with benefit.

Teachers come to the aid of another feature of the age under consideration - the mental functions of the child mature enough to allow him to concentrate on some activity for quite a long time. Interesting tasks for children related to coloring, assembling a puzzle or constructor, ordering numbers can captivate them for a long time. This is possible at an earlier age, however, as a rule, it happens sporadically. Senior - the time when such studies should become systematic.

Children 5-6 years old absorb knowledge like a sponge

The transition of the child to the next stage of physical and mental development causes a new wave of interest in the world around him. He begins to ask questions of a global nature - about the structure of the world, for example. An adult should answer in detail, but at the same time accessible, preferably with examples. If there is no time to answer at the moment, you should remember the question and promise the little why-bear to answer later (and be sure to fulfill the promise).

Feel free to admit if you do not know the answer to a question: find it with your child on the Internet or in a book.

Along with the increased interest in the world around them, children's interest in reading also grows. Children's cognitive encyclopedias devoted to various sections of knowledge stimulate the development of this skill: if a 5-year-old child still cannot read, he will have a desire to learn as soon as possible. Thanks to such colorful encyclopedias, the first ideas about geography, history, culture are formed, knowledge about the animal world and natural phenomena is replenished.

It is this age that teachers consider the most favorable for memorizing a large amount of information, which means that the development of a child of 5-6 years old will affect his ability to learn at an older age. Even from the passion for computer games, you can benefit: preschoolers enjoy playing “educational games” aimed at teaching counting, reading, foreign languages, training memory, attention and logical thinking.

Speech development is the most important aspect of learning

The speech of an older preschooler is normally already quite developed: it contains all types of sentences, including complex ones; the child easily operates with temporary forms, freely changes words according to gender, numbers and cases. All or almost all sounds are pronounced clearly. The phonetic system of the native language is fully assimilated, but the ability to assimilate the sounds characteristic of a particular foreign language has not yet been lost. During this period, it is useful to focus on the phonetic side of the desired foreign language: for example, memorize poems and songs, easily achieving good pronunciation.

As for the native language, here the priority direction of preschool education is the training of reading skills. If a child of 5 or 6 years old cannot read, this is what should be done in the first place. Usually children at this age already know the letters and are smart enough to understand how they add up to syllables.

Buy a magnetic alphabet for your child as early as possible: this will help him become interested in letters and remember them.

To improve reading fluency, the following exercise is useful: an adult reads the text aloud at the most comfortable speed so that the child follows the spelling of the voice. Over time, the speed of such joint reading increases due to intensive training of visual memory, and the skill of independent reading also improves. Such a developmental exercise involves individual lessons and is easily performed at home with parents.

In addition to reading at preschool age, it is necessary to develop oral speech. You should ask the kid as often as possible to retell a fairy tale, a cartoon in his own words, come up with a story for the picture. These exercises are extremely helpful:

  • develop memory, thinking;
  • increase the ability to logically and competently express their thoughts;
  • contribute to the development of imagination;
  • train oratorical skills, which is especially effective when studying in a group;
  • allows adults to assess the vocabulary and quality of the child's speech, to track these indicators in dynamics over several lessons.

Retelling does not have to be limited by the educational framework: you can ask the child to tell something even on the way to a music school or a dance lesson.

Preparation for school: assessment of the level of proximal development

An outstanding domestic scientist involved in child psychology, L. S. Vygotsky introduced the concept of the zone of proximal development into science. It is contrasted with the current level of development of the child and outlines the immediate perspective to which one should strive. An indicator of the current level is the child's ability to perform certain tasks on their own, and the level of proximal development is the ability to perform more complex tasks with the help of adults or in a team with peers.

Sometimes parents, concerned about the speedy development of their child, try to speed up his education by offering him complex logical or mathematical tasks. Such experiments can not only not give the desired result, but also harm the child's psyche, so the definition of the zone of proximal development should be entrusted to professional teachers and psychologists. The other extreme is also undesirable, when parents overly control the completion of homework, using hints to achieve the ideal result - this can nullify the child's independence in the future.

At 5-6 years old, the development of the child should be carried out in the following basic areas:

  • mathematics (counting within 10, knowledge of basic geometric shapes, the concept of sizes and distances);
  • the world around (knowledge of the days of the week, seasons, understanding of the diversity of the animal world, etc.)
  • speech (the ability to give complete answers, describe the proposed pictures, generalize concepts into groups, read by syllables).

If you wish, you can engage in music, painting, dancing, and a foreign language with your child - the list of developing activities can be continued. The main thing is to closely monitor the psychological state of the baby, maintaining the perfect balance between study, play and rest.

A child who is five years old already knows and knows a lot. He speaks well, analyzes the situation and explains his opinion, knows how to count, performs simple mathematical tasks (comparison, adding one, counting to ten and vice versa). The consciousness of the baby gradually becomes more adult, he learns to be responsible, he knows how to make plans much ahead.

Watching their baby, parents notice that he is already independent, courageous, has his own interests, some success in classes, sports, and creativity. But children at this age are still very impressionable, emotional, compare themselves with others, strive to be part of society and play an important role in it.

From five to six years old, the child is still learning about the world and developing through play, communication with parents and peers. But gradually it is education that comes to the fore. It implies a full-fledged educational process, which has its own rules and requirements, and the result must be evaluated.

Child development at five

Now is the time for parents to analyze their child's development in every direction and test themselves. How does the baby behave at home, on the street, in public places? How does he communicate with other people? Does the child have friends, how do they understand and perceive friendship in principle? Does your son or daughter speak well in terms of pronunciation as well as sentence building skills?

It is very important that the child feels comfortable and harmonious in the family. implies, first of all, not additional classes, but teaching responsibility and order. It is necessary to let the child feel like an adult, to perform household duties, to do important serious things. Procedures such as washing and dressing, sorting clothes, putting things in order on the shelves should be constant and regular.

From the point of view of psychology, children at the age of five are still too susceptible to failure, they are anxious about their position in society. Teach children not to be afraid of educators, new people, interesting bright activities. Teach to see the positive in every new experience, open the child. The social aspect plays a major role, it is the lack of social maturity that sometimes causes problems with schoolwork, although the child himself may have excellent data and a developed intellect.

An important detail: you can not force a child to do what the parents themselves do not do. Trying to instill responsibility in children, you actually discredit yourself in the eyes of the baby, they may stop respecting and trusting you. The best way to teach your son or daughter is to lead by example. It is impossible to demand and force a child to do any activities.

Classes with a child of 5 years: educational games and full-fledged lessons

Gradually, but rigorously, classes with a child turn from arbitrary spontaneous play into serious, full-fledged lessons. But do not do it abruptly and within strict limits. Children at this age find it difficult to concentrate on what they are not too interested in. You can’t force them to think, but you can exclude other objects during classes that distract the child’s attention. For example, you should not conduct classes on a play mat. If the baby has his own table, clean it up during work, hide all unnecessary things, even the most beloved toys and souvenirs.

The development of children from five to six years old includes:

  • Development of logical thinking, attention, memory;
  • Physical development;
  • Ability to work in a team, communication skills;
  • , improving pronunciation and vocabulary;
  • Knowledge of the world and its laws, study of the laws of nature and society;
  • Creative thinking, development of imagination and abstract thinking;
  • Fundamentals of mathematics, grammar, writing and reading.

At the same time, it is important to divide each task thematically, to fill them with game episodes only during active classes. Children at this age still cannot control their attention and their memory works arbitrarily: they easily remember what fascinated or surprised them, but they also easily forget. The most important types of activities for preschool children are the development of thinking and all types of memory (visual, auditory, mechanical), as well as active work on speech.

Classes with a child of 5 years for the development of speech

Observe the child's pronunciation. Does he pronounce all letters clearly? Are there complex nuances? Maybe he pronounces one or more letters incorrectly, but he has adapted to this and does not pay attention. Be sure to focus on this, try to ensure that the baby tries to pronounce them correctly. Otherwise, incorrect pronunciation will become a bad habit that will not be easy to change.

For better pronunciation development, there are simple but effective exercises:

  • tongue gymnastics,
  • a game of air football (you need to “score” a goal with a cotton ball, blowing air only with your mouth, and trying to say “shhh”, “ssss”, other hissing sounds);
  • exercise "bridge" (the tongue is tense and touches the sky), "balalaika".

If your child has problems with pronunciation, it is better to contact a speech therapist now. At a later age it will be much more difficult.

The development of speech and knowledge of the surrounding world are still closely related. The best way to expand your vocabulary and gain new knowledge is to read. And you can not only read to the child yourself, but also slowly teach him to read on his own.

You can learn new words from different areas:

  • professions;
  • car brands;
  • emotions and feelings;
  • birds, mushrooms, insects;
  • new culinary dishes, products.

The list can be supplemented with any topics, this will only benefit the baby.

Other activities

Sometimes parents get too carried away with the process of teaching the baby and forget about his basic needs. One of them is communication. Spend more time with your child, walking, playing family board games, doing homework together. It is also important to ensure that he has full communication with peers. The best game option for children of five years old is collective fun games in the yard, in the kindergarten.

Active sports activities are essential for a child. or every day do morning. A great option for kids of this age is swimming or just having fun in the water.

Do not get carried away with strict training, do not try to bring up a genius in a child - everything comes with time. The main thing is not to let everything take its course and not let the baby get bored. The world around is extremely interesting, you just need to be able to see it and show it to children.

Classes for children 5-6 years old for the development of logical thinking, mathematical abilities, writing. It is also the best time to learn to read.

Working with five year olds is a pleasure. And if until the age of 5 the child still resisted preparing for school, then from this age he dreams of growing up as soon as possible and becoming a student. Now new knowledge and skills have been discovered, and the maturity of mental functions allows one to concentrate on a task for quite a long time.

In developing classes, children aged 5-6 years old master writing, arithmetic operations, learn to recognize all the sounds in words. This is also the best time to learn to read, preschoolers are interested in learning letters and quickly grasp the principle of their merging into syllables.

However, the entire learning process should still be built on gaming activities, and the classes themselves should be distinguished by the variety of means used. Otherwise, "tedious" lessons will only bring irritation, and the baby will lose interest.

Tasks for classes with children 5-6 years old

By the age of 5-6, children already accumulate a fairly large amount of knowledge and skills. Along with the increased intellectual capabilities, tasks become more complicated.

Math exercises and assignments

By this age, the child most likely already counts to 10, knows the main figures and knows how to compare them.

Now the future first grader needs to learn how to operate with numbers up to 10 (subtract and add, comprehend the composition of the top ten), solve puzzles and tasks in one step, compare sets (greater than, equal to, less than). In addition, before school, you need to consolidate the ability to navigate in space, learn the direct / reverse order of the number series. Senior preschoolers divide a circle or square into several equal parts, learn to write numbers and arithmetic signs.

Try to involve the baby in learning unobtrusively. For example, let him pour 5 tablespoons of sugar into the pie according to the recipe and break 3 eggs. Or ask to count the money for travel, change, share the pie among family members, etc.

Walking board games will also help, in which the number of moves depends on the value of the rolled dice. The best of them are described in the article "".

Logic tasks

When preparing for school, parents need to understand that their main task is not to count and write beautifully. This is what they are taught in school. The main goal should be the development of mental processes. With a well-developed memory, attention and thinking, a small student will always be successful in learning. In addition, the development of these very intellectual abilities is most effective while the child is small.

As for logical thinking, in the sixth year, kids master the following skills:

  • divide objects into groups, naming some sign;
  • compose a story from a picture or come up with a story from the beginning;
  • find an extra item;
  • discover a pattern and continue it.

Logic tasks for children 5 years old can be graphic (find similar, color according to the model, go through the maze, draw, solve the rebus), speech (tasks for ingenuity, riddles), puzzles. All this can be found in printed educational aids and programs.

Feature articles:

Some examples of logical tasks.

Frog Zhu perched on a pink leaf. The EA frog is not on pink, nor is it on blue. Position the frogs correctly.

Or, a problem about patterns. You need to consider what might be missing. (In this case, living and non-living objects alternate).

Checking spatial thinking. Which of the napkins is not pinned?

The ability to memorize in children, as in adults, is different. One thing is for sure, memory can be trained. Therefore, when organizing games for the development of memory, start small - first offer to remember three objects, then more. As a rule, at the age of 5 years, a baby can reproduce 5-6 visual images, 4-5 words that are not related in meaning, 3-4 numbers, repeat 5-6 actions after an adult.

Tasks for memorizing letters

In school, literacy is taught from sound to letter. Therefore, before you start learning the alphabet, you need to make sure that the baby distinguishes the sounds in the word well, can build the sound scheme of the word.

In order for the baby to quickly remember the graphic image of the letter, you can sculpt it, figure out what it looks like, hang cards with letters around the room.

If there are magnetic or wooden letters, they can be put in a bag and removed by touch. You can also make "embossed" letters using cereals, rhinestones and beads.

If the child has already learned the letters and knows how to add syllables, you can play with words.

For example, read the word by the first letters.

Or think about something like this.

Diversify the home lesson of literacy and puzzles with letters.

We develop speech

By the age of 5, a preschooler should already clearly state not only his first and last name, but also his address, phone number, and know the data of his parents. In general, the speech of a 5-year-old child is no different from an adult. A preschooler correctly uses grammatical norms, can conduct a conversation, build reasoning, ask questions.

The formation of the sound side of speech is carried out through tongue twisters and articulatory gymnastics. Games to determine the positions of sounds in a word, folding words from sounds will also help.

For example, a parent pronounces words, and a child, having heard a pre-arranged sound, “catches” them with claps or jumps.

Thematic material:

In another exercise, the parent throws a ball and calls out a syllable. The child needs to come up with a word for this syllable and throw the ball back.

Development of children 5-6 years old online

A computer will also help to develop and learn at home. Today, there are many educational websites and online platforms that offer a variety of puzzles and play exercises for children for free.

Tasks for them are usually differentiated into categories by age and topics - logic, literacy, mathematical material, broadening one's horizons, etc. Therefore, it is not difficult to choose the necessary exercises.

For example, in the logic section for 5 years, you can include such a problem with Euler circles.

If the answer is correct (in this example, “the sun”), the announcer will definitely praise the child. In case of an error, you can find out the correct answer and explanation. (The lantern is not warm, the chicken is dim).

Using educational online exercises for children aged 5-6, dose the time spent at the computer. If it is noticeable that the student's attention is scattered or the decision is delayed, change the type of activity.

5-year-olds take their failures very deeply. Therefore, if something does not work out, cheer, offer to cope with the difficulties together! So the child will not lose faith in himself and will be open to new knowledge!
