Do-it-yourself alien carnival costume. Carnival costumes for children

On the nose of a New Year's party, Halloween or a children's costume party? Then you are faced with a difficult task - to prepare a beautiful and original costume for your child. You can choose a zombie and dead costume, but we offer you an interesting look that will not go unnoticed at any party - today you will learn several ways to make an alien costume with your own hands from improvised materials and things that are easy to find in any child's wardrobe. Fresh and new! Let's get started.

Costume variant No. 1

Perhaps the easiest way to make an alien costume at home. Before starting work, you need to prepare:

    Work uniform of the builder (it can be purchased at any special store);

    mosquito net;

    small springs;

  • plastic balls.

    If the building form is larger than you need, cut off the legs, sleeves, slightly sew in the elastic in the waistband.

    Let's start with the alien hat. You need to make two eyes and sew to the jumpsuit. For their manufacture, foam rubber is needed. Cut out a circle about 25 cm in size, pull it together with a thread so that you get a ball, and cover it with a mosquito net. Place the edge of the mesh in the middle, sew a plastic ball on top.

    Similarly, make another one and sew the eyes to the hood on opposite sides. The front of the hood, where the child's face will be, must also be sheathed with a mosquito net.

    Cut out two oval mesh pieces. Cut the back of the overalls from top to bottom so that the cuts are smaller than the cut out oval pieces. Sew the details into the cuts - these are the alien's wings.

    You can also sew a mesh fabric along the inside seam of the panties. So the child will be more comfortable if the holiday takes place in the warm season.

    To make the DIY alien costume even more effective, make two more foam rubber arms and cover them with mosquito net and material left over from the overalls. When the arms are ready, sew them on at the level of the side seams.

Congratulations, you have completed the task!

New Year is a magical holiday. For each child, it is special: someone is waiting for a meeting with Santa Claus, receiving desired gifts, many guests and delicious food, and someone is waiting for a real fairy tale - something that does not happen in everyday life. This holiday is the very case when the most unrealizable dream can come true. Become a super hero, fly into space, play the role of a princess, a cute funny animal, a clown, a fairy or even a dinosaur!

Maternity.ru offers original ideas for a fabulous transformation for your child. After all, a carnival costume is a kind of ticket to a magical land! And the task of the mother is to build a conceived image easily and quickly, using simple means.

space suit

In our childhood, many children dreamed of becoming astronauts. Boundless space distances, alien civilizations and undiscovered worlds - all this is tempting and very attractive. Space has not lost its appeal for modern children. Therefore, an astronaut's spacesuit is an original idea for a New Year's party or carnival.

To make this magnificent space helmet, we inflate a large round balloon to the required volume. Then we put wet paper towels on its surface. The next few layers are small pieces of paper smeared with PVA glue. We are waiting for the glue to dry. We pierce the balloon and take it out through the resulting small holes. We make an oval slot in the helmet.

We glue the blank of the helmet with foil.

To make a visor, you need a transparent thin plastic. This happens on the packaging of children's toys. We cut out an elliptical visor from it. We pierce along two edges and fasten with cheap children's earrings.

To get the most real oxygen cylinders, you need to wrap them in foil. They can be attached to the belt or to the suit itself with double-sided tape.

To make a dashboard on an astronaut suit, we use cardboard, holographic paper, and old CDs. If you are good with electrical devices, you can attach a small garland with a battery to the structure. See how the front panel on the suit glows in the dark.

We make real space shoes as follows: we wrap rubber boots with foil and lightly attach it on top with tape. Our astronaut is ready. Now we only need a space rocket!

To supplement the space meeting of the New Year will help alien costume.

For those who do not want to sew, we can offer a costume of planets and stars. To do this, we make the corresponding bright mask hats from cardboard and colored paper. To keep such a hat at the back, we attach an elastic band to it.

Now it remains to choose the right one, and a bright, memorable holiday is guaranteed!

Bright Columbine - clown carnival costume

How can you do at a holiday without a merry fellow or a clown? We propose to make an unusual move and present a little girl as a clowness. Sweet and beautiful Colombina will appeal to an active, cheerful girl.

For the clown costume we use bright fabrics and accessories. You can wear a white blouse or T-shirt, complementing them with a voluminous colorful skirt made of pieces of fabric. We complement the set with bright socks, golfs, leggings.

We decorate the cap for Colombina with sparkles, tinsel, pompoms. This headpiece can be attached to a headband for clowness speed and mobility - it's easy to take off or put on when needed.

dinosaur costume

The theme of prehistoric reptiles has fascinated children for more than a decade. Maternity.ru offers several variations on the dinosaur carnival costume theme.

For example, you can sew a fabric jumpsuit by decorating it with spikes along the spine and tail.

You can make a costume-house "Dinosaur" from cardboard boxes. Such an outfit is easy to make and will definitely be remembered, although it is not very convenient to move in it.

You can “upgrade” your existing sports or knitted suit and balaclava by adding rubber boots and gloves. Look what a colorful lizard turned out!

Carnival costume "Amanita"

The main detail in the fly agaric costume is, of course, a bright hat with white peas. It can be made by covering an old hat with a large brim or a cardboard blank with a suitable red fabric. At the same time, it is good to add a soft frame-foam rubber or fabric inside. Then you get a real mushroom hat.

To make an owl costume, we need a beige and brown range of clothes. We attach large eyes to the U-shaped hat. We sew feathers from colored fabric onto a jacket.

Eastern sage

To make this costume, you will need bright bloomers, a T-shirt and two colored scarves. You can decorate the sage's headdress with a brooch or feather.

The theme of the Indians is bright, colorful and romantic. And although modern children no longer read novels about the Wild West, every boy is ready to dress up as an Indian.

Indian clothing was made from homespun linen. Therefore, we choose a fabric that is suitable in color and texture. Sew on braid and fringe.

We make special "overlays". We decorate them with braid, lacing and wooden buttons.

For the headdress, we use a wire frame with feathers or a cardboard frame with paper feathers. You can also use a fabric base.

Carlson

Carlson's mischievous costume is a bright green shirt, banana pants with suspenders, a red wig and a propeller.

If you want to make a spinning propeller, arm yourself with a base from a CD and an old CD drive (we will need a bobbin). We pierce the fabric with a pin, fasten the propeller and close it with a plastic cap. Now our propeller is spinning!

Costumes Duckling, Ladybug, Butterfly, Dog

On the basis of a jumpsuit pattern, you can create a variety of carnival costumes. See what options you can get:

A simple and colorful strongman costume can be made from a sailor shirt. Add a funny mustache - and you're done!

Masha and the Bear

The heroine of a Russian folk tale and a cartoon beloved by everyone - a cheerful playful girl Masha - we will create from a completely real girl with the help of a sundress and a pink scarf. To complete the image, you can pick up a teddy bear.

Fairy, butterfly, ladybug - these costumes can be made according to a single pattern: a bright fluffy skirt, a headband with horns, wings and a magic wand.

A little imagination, unnecessary things that have been asking for a long time, but it's a pity to throw them in the trash and ... the carnival costume is ready! Think it's unrealistic? If you really want to create something extraordinary and memorable, nothing will stop you. Believe in yourself and create an amazing costume from what you can find in the closet, in the corner of the garage and just at hand!

DIY carnival costumes for children

What are improvised materials? For a New Year's costume, any things and objects are suitable except for heavy and dangerous ones: it is better not to use glass parts and dead batteries.

But the forgotten grandmother's cuts of fabric and worn things are perfect:

  • old T-shirts, skirts, T-shirts;
  • handkerchiefs, scarves, pareos, capes, tablecloths, curtains and tulle;
  • shirts, blouses;
  • jeans, drape pants and more.

The rag dowry inherited from the grandmother is an incredible value, given the fact that, moving in a spiral, the fashion for fabrics and models of those times is returning. Dresses in large and small peas in retro style are again at the peak of popularity. From self-woven fabrics, you can make a wonderful Russian folk decoration for a peasant woman. Aliens, knights and mermen may appear from what you find at home.

An alien is something incomprehensible and unusual. No one has seen them, but everyone imagines in their own way.

This costume idea is suitable when there is no time at all, and the carnival is on the nose. You can use hand tools. The easiest way is to create an alien outfit from foil. You will need several rolls of silver foil. A black or gray turtleneck and leggings are perfect for the base of the suit. We wrap all the necessary parts of the vestment with foil: collar, sleeves, back, front, belt and shoes.

You can use a large cardboard box - make holes for the arms and head and paste over with foil. The final stage in the costume will be a headdress:

  • Silver tinsel wig and oversized glasses.
  • Foil mask. Attach the foil to the face and with the help of small pressure give it the shape of the face, cut out the eyes. Attach a rubber band.
  • Cover the finished hat with foil and attach several antennas.

Making an alien fancy dress out of black or silver trash bags is even easier. Cutting off the bottom of the bag, get rectangles that will dress like a tunic. We connect the parts of the tunic on the shoulders with adhesive tape. For greater effect, the outfit can be pasted over with reflectors or price tags in acid colors. Oh, and don't forget the hat.

Boy's hedgehog costume

Variant of a small hedgehog for a masquerade:

Simplified version:

  • cape with a hood and sewn needles;
  • jumpsuit or shirt with trousers;
  • mushrooms, leaves, fruits, tinsel-rain in the form of decor;
  • shoes.

In both options, you make needles to the hedgehog with your own hands. Cut out many circles from the fabric of the desired color. The radius of the circle will be equal to the length of the hedgehog's needle. In each circle, one quarter (wedge) is removed and a cone is sewn. When there is a sufficient number of cones, you can sew them to the vest, hat, cape and hood. If you replace the trousers with a skirt, then you will have a charming hedgehog girl. Add makeup to the baby's face - and your hedgehog is ready. By the way, the dinosaur costume is also made, only the cones should be larger.

Little astronaut

The basis of clothing can be a red jumpsuit or a suit of silver brocade - these are the two main colors for such a suit. Once you've decided on your astronaut's attire, you can start creating the specific suit accessories: helmet and balloons. And also trim children's boots so that they look like astronauts' shoes.

Let's start building a helmet. We will make it using the papier-mâché technique. We will need:

  • a large round balloon;
  • a lot of old newspapers, sheets of thin paper;
  • 1 st. flour;
  • water and white latex paint.

A future astronaut will help you tear the paper into small strips and pieces. Thoroughly mix flour and water in a cup until a creamy mass is obtained.

We inflate a balloon larger than the child's head and put strips of paper soaked in dough on it in even layers. The bottom of the ball remains unglued. This left a hole for the head and neck, it should be larger in diameter than the head of a baby astronaut.

Carefully burst the ball after the structure has completely dried, remove the rubber residue from the inside. We cover the top of the helmet with white paint. Mark with a pencil and carefully cut out a window for the face. The resulting uneven edges should be sealed with a white adhesive plaster.

You can make fuel cylinders from two 1.5-liter bottles wrapped in silver foil and fastened with tape. We attach “tongues of fire” made of red fabric, napkins or corrugated paper to the nozzles of the cylinders.

Waste suits

Ecodesign is very popular right now. The most natural and environmentally friendly materials at hand are cellulose, paper and any of its derivatives. Dig into the bins and look for:

  • fashion magazines;
  • maps and atlases;
  • old wallpaper;
  • wrapping paper;
  • wrappers;
  • colored paper;
  • cardboard (corrugated, foil);
  • old money or souvenir banknotes.

Handmade paper dress

Surely your house was renovated, after which there were pieces and rolls of wallpaper. Over time, they became dusty on the mezzanine or in the pantry. It's time to get them and try to breathe new life into them. Create your own natural paper dress. We make the top fitted with a few turns of wallpaper around the body. We glue the paper with adhesive tape on the back or side. And you can also make a straight skirt and connect with the bodice.

If you don’t like this option, you can sew paper cones in several rows to the old skirt. A voluminous skirt will come out. In the same way, you can lengthen the train or make additional tiers. There are many options for paper dress models:

  • A - silhouette;
  • asymmetric;
  • from pieces of paper;
  • from paper leaves;
  • open;
  • colored;
  • tutu skirt;
  • black and white.

Dresses made of paper are good because they can be worn more than once, if carefully cut "along the seam", and then sealed with tape. Very simple, free and beautiful.

Now fashion studios are being created to create extraordinary outfits. Not only carnival, but also exhibition decorations are created using unusual, original materials. Japanese fashion designers surprise the viewer with funny pom-pom dresses, wedding dresses made of soft toys, and medical gloves.

Old small, soft toys are both valuable faux fur and a synthetic winterizer, which is suitable for decorating voluminous details and elements of clothing.

Outfit from a piece of fabric or a large scarf

Light summer fabrics drape very gently and elegantly. Models in the style of Greek goddesses are beautiful: the fabric runs along the back, under the armpits, on the chest the ends of the scarf cross, rise, and tie around the back of the neck.

The middle of the cut is located under the arm, the corners are tied on the opposite shoulder or twisted under the opposite armpit, rise to the shoulder and are fixed with a knot. Any of the options can be diversified by adding a strap, fasten the ends of the scarf with a hairpin or brooch. According to the proposed scheme, you can create a multilayer model using two or three scarves, tying the products opposite each other.

The gifts of nature are an abyss of ideas:

  • autumn leaves;
  • wildflowers;
  • chestnuts;
  • cones;
  • driftwood;
  • shells and more.

Delicate rose petals are a godsend for the bride's decoration. Cornflower petals are suitable for creating a mysterious image. Small seashells can be used as decor.

Fallen leaf dress

The basis is an old T-shirt or T-shirt. The main material is whole dry leaves. The leaves are attached to the bodice of the dress with a needle and thread. The straps are decorated with wreaths of leaves. The same wreath can be put on the hem of a skirt or on a belt. The one-piece skirt of a stylish suit is assembled from leaves from the bottom row up, overlapping. An unpleasant feature of such a product is that the leaves wither very quickly and become brittle, therefore such an outfit must be prepared on the eve of the show. A dark, damp and cool room is suitable for storing such a dress.

Evening dress from black bags

Many interesting costume options can be created from polyethylene and plastic. There is room for fantasy here. Cellophane bags (garbage, grocery), plastic bottles and caps are widely used by fashion designers who are fighting for respect for mother nature. Do-it-yourself costumes from improvised materials.

Assemble the bodice of the dress from a couple of packages. How to make a skirt:

  • A strict, office skirt will turn out if you connect two bags on the side seams. Diamond-shaped segments can be glued on top, gluing them like fish scales, from the very bottom to the top.
  • A flared skirt will turn out if you put large packages on top of each other.
  • "Tatyanka" can be made by combining several bags into a long canvas and gathering them along the top.

All fasteners are made with adhesive tape. From green bags you get an excellent dress for a kikimora or a water one.

Laserdisc Outfit

An old T-shirt or dress and a bunch of damaged laser discs can easily be turned into a super-suit for a dance floor star. Necessary tools: shoe awl, scissors, needle and thread.

We heat the awl and make a hole in each disc. Choose a T-shirt that reaches mid-thigh. From the bottom, move in a circle and rise, gradually decorating the entire space. On the shoulders, sew discs with two holes on both sides.

men's tie outfit

Fashion does not stand still, and fashion designers along with it. Ties, sewn in one fabric between themselves and matched to each other, become an unsurpassed and magnificent mini-dress. If you have a large amount of material, then you can sew the dress to the floor.

An outfit made of ties in two contrasting colors that form weaves looks exclusive and bewitching.

Carnival costume from a tent

There is a raincoat, why not sew a dress-tent? Creative designers have gone as far as to combine tourism with fashion by inventing tent dresses. Imagine a fitted outfit with an open top: a zipper in front of the corset, a very long skirt with a train. This dress is extravagant in itself. And if you remove all the details indicating that the fabric belongs, then hardly anyone will guess that this outfit was created from improvised means found in the pantry. You can get: khaki tent dress, plaid, black, colored, stripes.

Edible carnival costumes

If you are not afraid that your outfit will be eaten, then try making a dress out of candy. The motley colors of candy wrappers will help create the right color scheme. Sweets of different shapes will help decorate individual elements of the outfit.

You should buy sweets, be patient and arm yourself with a needle and thread. Sew sweets on an old dress as your fantasy tells you - and you are doomed to success. You will become the queen of the New Year's ball, just stay away from the sweet tooth. Can a similar original outfit come in handy?

These outfits are suitable for:

  • for thematic competitions;
  • work with children;
  • advertising campaign;
  • graduation ball;
  • theatrical costume parties.

Dresses made from improvised and natural materials are needed not only for beauty. Perfect for supporting environmental protection and against the misuse of natural resources, to showcase your talent and creativity. Under an extraordinary outfit, shoes must be selected extravagant.

Be bold and you will succeed!
