Rubber: alternately 2 sts of front surface, 1 st of garter stitch.

Facial surface: facial rows - facial loops, purl rows - purl loops In the circular rows, knit all loops with facial loops.

Garter stitch: front and back rows - front loops. With circular knitting, knit alternately: 1 row of facial, 1 row of purl.

Knitting density:(knitting needles No. 4) elastic band = 20 p. x 33 p. = 10 x 10 cm; front surface = 23 p. x 31 p. = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: on knitting needles No. 4, dial 99 (107) 115 loops and knit for the strap with an elastic band, while in the wrong row after chrome. start with 1 st in garter st and 2 sts in stockinette stitch and finish symmetrically. In the 33rd r. add 1 p = 100 (108) 116 p. After 10 cm = 33 p. from the strap, continue to knit with front stitch. After 24.5 (23.5) 23 cm = 76 (74) 72 p. close from the strap on both sides for armholes 1 x 2 (3) 4 p .. then in each 2nd p. close another 5 (6) 7 x 1 p. = 86 (90) 94 p. After 17.5 (18.5) 19 cm = 54 (56) 58 p. from the beginning of the armhole, close on both sides for shoulder bevels 1 x 5 (5) 6 p., then in each 2nd p. close another 2 x 5 (5) 6 p. and 1 x 6 (7) 5 p.

At the same time as the first decrease for the shoulder bevels, cast off the middle 36 (38 - 40) sts for the neckline and finish the left side first. On the inner edge for further rounding, close in every 2nd p. another 1 x 3 p. and 1 x 1 p. Finish the other side symmetrically.

Before: for cuts, first knit a piece of 3 separate parts. For the middle part, dial 46 (49) 52 loops on the knitting needles and knit 30 p. elastic band, while in the purl row after chrome. start with purl 2 and purl 1 garter stitch, finish symmetrically. For both side parts, dial 28 (31) 34 loops on the knitting needles and also knit 30 p. with an elastic band, while distributing the loops, as in the middle part. After 30 r. reshoot all parts on one knitting needle, while knitting the adjacent hem parts together with the front one and then knitting with the front stitch. In the 1st r. subtract O (1) 2 p. - 100 (108) 116 p. Next, knit like a back, but for a deeper neck, close after 12.5 (13.5) 14 cm = 38 (42) 44 p. from the beginning of the armhole, the average 18 (20) 22 p. and first finish the left side. On the inner edge, close for further rounding in each 2nd p. 1 x 3 more p., 1 x 2 p., 7 x 1 p. and in the next 4th p. 1 x 1 p. Finish the other side symmetrically.

Sleeves: on knitting needles No. 4, dial 44 (47) 50 loops for each sleeve and knit for the strap with an elastic band, while in the purl row, start after chrome. with 1 purl, 1 garter stitch and purl 2 and finish symmetrically. In the 63rd p. add 1 p. = 45 (48) 51 p. After 20 cm = 63 p. from the initial row, continue to knit with the front stitch. For bevels, add on both sides in the 3rd p. from the bar 1 x 1 p. and then alternately in each 8th and 6th p. add 8 x 1 p. = 63 (66) 69 p. After 21 (20) 19.5 cm = 64 (62) 60 p. close the front surface on both sides for an okat 1 x 2 (3) 4 p., then in the 2nd p. 1 x 2 p., in each 2nd p. 5 (6) 7 x 1 p., in every 4th p. 5 x 1 p., then again in each 2nd p. 5 x 1 p,. 1 x 2 p. and 1 x 3 p. Through 15.5 (16.5) 17 cm = 48 (50) 52 p. from the beginning of the okat, close the remaining 15 (14) 13 p.

Assembly: sew shoulder and side seams. On the front, sew the cuts to a length of 1 cm. For a round collar, starting from the right shoulder seam, cast on circular knitting needles No. 3.5 along the edge of 105 (108) 111 p. inside, then knit with an elastic band, while starting with 1 st of the front surface and 1 st of garter stitch. After 9 cm from the beginning of the collar, switch to circular knitting needles No. 4. After 19 cm of elastic band, close all loops freely. Turn the collar out. Sew sleeve seams and sew sleeves.

Why cut knitted fabric?

The conversation will not only be about Fair Isle, the traditional technique of split jacquard, which is knitted in a circle, knowing that it will then be subjected to scissors.

In popular Scottish patterns, circular details are first knitted - a shelf-back and sleeves, and then armholes and a neck are cut out.

Sometimes it turns out that you need to cut an already finished, knitted fabric: plans have changed, you missed the size, the product stretched out after washing, or you just need to update the old sweater.

So, along, so that the loops do not creep? Undoubtedly, it is necessary to strengthen the edges of the future incision.

This can be done using an ordinary needle and thread or, for example, a crochet hook, if you walk a chain of air loops along vertical jumpers. By the way, you can generally avoid manual work if you have a sewing machine - just lay zigzag stitches along an imaginary cut line.

If you have an overlock, then you can immediately cut the product not only along, but also in any direction, while the edge will immediately turn over.

Well, if there is no equipment at hand or no overcasting is needed, then there are others ways to cut knitted fabric so that the loops do not crawl and the edge does not bloom.

The side (edge) edge when knitting is most often made in the form of a pigtail. Such an edge is convenient for subsequent stitching of parts and has a beautiful appearance.

We will introduce you to two ways of knitting the side edge in the form of a pigtail, which give the same result. Choose the one that is more convenient for you.

First way

We knit the last (edge) loop of the row as it turns out according to the pattern: front or back.

At the beginning of the row, we look at which loop lies on the knitting needle. If the first (edge) loop is front, remove it, inserting the right needle behind the front wall of the loop, as in knitting.

If the first (edge) loop is purl, we remove it from the back wall.

Rule: to obtain an even side edge of knitting, the front loop is removed behind the front wall, the wrong one - behind the back.

Second way

Another way to get an even side edge of knitting: the last loop of the row (hem) is always knitted "" from the wrong side. Turn the work over and remove the loop, throwing it from the left knitting needle to the right.

In both cases, the side edge is obtained in the form of a pigtail.
