I present to you 3 ways to make accordion paper flowers. Due to the difference in methods, the flowers themselves are also different.

For work you will need materials:

  • colored paper;
  • Colored cardboard;
  • Glue stick;
  • Scissors.
  • Circle, ruler.

How to make accordion paper flowers?

1. Method

The easiest way, which results in the simplest flower.

Cut two strips from colored paper. If you need a small flower, one strip is enough, but thinner.

Turn the strip towards you with the narrow side and fold into an accordion. Just fold a small fold forward and then back. The width of the fold can vary from 5 mm to 1 cm, depending on the size of the future flower. Although, if the flower is huge, then the folds can be very decent. Turn both bands into harmonicas.

Glue them together to make a long piece.

Wrap its ends inward and glue. Get this ring.

Press down on the edges, guiding them towards the middle.

Cut out a contrasting or matching flower circle from colored cardboard and glue it in the middle. Everything, the simplest option is ready.

2. Method

Cut out 5 identical triangles from colored paper, which will be the petals of an accordion paper flower.

Turn one triangle towards you with the wide side. And if they are the same, then any.

Fold it into a small, about 5 mm, crease.

Bend the resulting part in half, and its wide side should be inside.

Glue both sides to make a petal.

Turn all other triangles into such petals.

Glue the petals together by applying glue to the sides. It is convenient not to complete the circle at first, but to glue the sides and press so that the paper is properly fixed.

And then glue the remaining free sides, resulting in a flower.

Cut out a circle from colored cardboard and glue it in the middle of the flower, making it even more attractive.

3 way

Cut out 8-9 circles from colored paper.

Fold each circle into an accordion. As a result of this action, the circle will narrow and look like an oval petal.

Glue all the petals together to make a long paper accordion.

Wrap in a circle and glue the side free sides.

Press down on the inside and you'll have a flower. He can strive to rise again into the ringlet, it's not scary. A cardboard circle in the center will secure its position.

These are how different accordion paper flowers turned out thanks to three ways to create them.

These flowers make beautiful appliqués. They are in perfect harmony with any kind, except for maple.

  1. We take a strip of paper, the width of which is greater than the length (preferably 2 times).
  2. We mark the bending threshold, for example, 1 cm. If you are not sure of the accuracy, mark the points with a pencil.
  3. We make the same bends over the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe paper so that we get an accordion.
  4. We take the lower edge of the fan and connect at one point. Bend the resulting classic fan to form a circle. We fix the edges with glue or tape.
  5. After gluing the bottom of the product on the reverse side, we fix a square of paper in order to more securely fix the workpiece. Double-sided tape is used as an auxiliary tool. It holds the edges well and is almost invisible when carefully trimmed.
  6. On the front side, at the junction with glue, a button, bow or any other decoration. Our fan is ready!

On the wall or any other surface, the decor is attached with adhesive tape or threads. You can also prepare a frame from under an old picture in advance in order to place paper fans on the canvas and then hang the composition on the wall. Take this idea as a basis to make something new and more original with your own hands.

50 photos of paper fan designs for the interior:

The fan has been known in the East since ancient times. The first mention of it appeared in China, but it was also widespread in Japan and India. In Japan, the fan symbolized military power; in India, sultans were fanned with fans. Later, this accessory was brought to Europe, where it became an attribute of the aristocracy. Currently, this thing has become available to everyone, and you can easily make a fan with your own hands.

paper fans

There are several ways to make a paper fan with your own hands: from very simple to very complex. You can use such accessories to decorate the interior or as a salvation on a hot day.

Children's fan

Such an accessory can be made independently by a child. In order to make it you will need the following materials:

First, take a sheet of paper of your favorite color. Then fold it like an accordion. We fasten one of the edges with a stapler. Now the resulting craft can be decorated by cutting and gluing a few multi-colored flowers.

Three-layer option

This manufacturing method is not more difficult than the previous one. For work you will need:

  • 3 sheets of colored paper of different widths (for example, the first sheet is 29 cm wide, the second is 23 cm, the third is 19 cm);
  • scissors;
  • glue stick;
  • hole puncher;
  • ribbon.

You can choose absolutely any colors for the fan. The main thing is that they are harmoniously combined. Procedure:

Round on skewers

Such a fan can complement the image of a snowflake on a matinee or decorate another children's costume. And making a beautiful round fan is very simple. For this you will need:

  • 3 sheets A4;
  • scissors;
  • glue or glue gun;
  • 2 flat skewers.

It is best to use thick double-sided colored paper for making a fan, and instead of skewers, you can take ice cream sticks. Stages of work:

From newspaper tubes

This fan can be hung on the wall, and it will become an original decoration for the interior. And making it is quite easy. For manufacturing you need:

  • old newspapers or magazines;
  • spoke;
  • glue gun;
  • threads;
  • decorative elements (ribbons, beads, flowers, lace);
  • thick cardboard;
  • scissors or stationery knife;
  • pencil;
  • ruler.

Before starting work, prepare all the necessary materials. You can use a cardboard box to create the base. Operating procedure:

Japanese origami technique

The origami technique is quite simple, but requires accuracy and patience. To make a Japanese fan with your own hands using this technique, you will need the following materials:

  • 12 white sheets of paper;
  • scissors;
  • red wool thread;
  • stationery glue;
  • simple pencil;
  • stapler.

To prevent the fan from looking boring, you can find and print a Japanese-style ornament on the sheets. It is best if you place two identical patterns 10x29 cm in size on each of the 7 A4 sheets, and print 4 of the same patterns 7x20 cm in size on another one. Operating procedure:

Fan of fabric or feathers

Fans made of feathers look much more spectacular than modest paper fans, and fabric accessories look more elegant. To create such fans with your own hands, master classes will be very useful.

From plastic forks

A variety of materials are used to make a fan. For example, the original fan can be assembled from ordinary plastic forks. And to do this, you will need the following tools and materials:

  • 19 disposable forks (you can take more, but always an odd number);
  • lace 1 meter wide;
  • feathers;
  • satin ribbons;
  • rhinestones;
  • openwork tape;
  • corrugated cardboard;
  • old disk;
  • thermal gun;
  • white cardboard;
  • cup;
  • simple pencil;
  • scissors.

Materials for the product must be selected so that the colors are harmoniously combined. Stages of work:

  1. On white cardboard, circle the disk with a pencil, draw a line in the center of the resulting circle and cut out two semicircles.
  2. We circle the neck of the glass already on corrugated cardboard and cut out a circle, after which we cut it in half.
  3. We glue a small semicircle to a semicircle of white cardboard, carefully aligning them along the cut edges.
  4. We insert the forks into the corrugated paper and attach them to the large semicircle with glue. The forks should be positioned so that they touch each other at the top.
  5. The second blank of white cardboard must be glued on top of a semicircle of corrugated paper.
  6. We take a satin ribbon and attach it to the top of the extreme fork. Next, we twist the ribbon between the teeth of all the forks and glue it from the other edge.
  7. We glue a feather on top of each of the forks, and cover the attachment point with an openwork ribbon.
  8. Glue the corresponding piece of velvet on the cardboard semicircle from below, and a flower made of ribbons on top.

fabric fan

The fabric fan can be used as a prop for performances or as an unusual accessory. To make a fan with your own hands from fabric, you will need the following materials:

Wooden sticks for crafts can be taken from an old fan, and the fabric is not too dense.

If there are no old sticks, then they can be cut out of plywood.

The size of the part is 40x1 cm. The parts must be stacked and a hole for the thread made at a distance of 1 cm from the edge. Production order:

  1. We take wooden sticks, stack them in a pile and thread a pink thread into the hole. After that, we wrap them several times from the bottom with a thread in a circle so that they hold better.
  2. We unfold the sticks like a fan so that they are at the same distance from each other and apply to the paper. Outline them with a pencil.
  3. In the resulting semicircle, draw a small semicircle with a radius of 10 cm and cut it out.
  4. Using the template, cut out the piece from the fabric.
  5. We apply the fabric to the unfolded sticks and glue its edge to the lowest strip in the fan. After that, the fabric part must be glued to the rest of the sticks from below, and completely to the last strip.
  6. From above the sticks to the fabric must be sewn with a blue thread. You can sew blue tape on the edges of the fabric to hide uneven cuts.
  7. After the glue dries, the fan can be folded.

Chinese method

China can be called the birthplace of the fan. It appeared there in ancient times and was made from different materials: lotus, reed, feathers. A little later, thanks to the Japanese, folding fans appeared in China. It is such a fan that you can try to make yourself. D For this you will need:

  • the cloth;
  • ruler;
  • thin plywood;
  • bolt with nut;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • sample.

Stages of work:

Vale for dancing

A vale is a type of cloth fan used in dance. To make a vale fan with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

  • folding fan made of dense fabric;
  • thermal gun;
  • scissors;
  • silk fabric.

Before proceeding with the creation of the veil, it is necessary to measure the desired length of the fabric. It can be from 50 cm to 2 meters. And the width of the fabric should match the width of the existing fan.

Glue must be applied to the hard parts of the base. Next, you should fix the piece of fabric on the table and start gluing the edges of the base in turn. Don't pull the fabric too hard. It must fold freely, otherwise it will quickly tear.

The finished product must be left for a day for the glue to dry. After that, you need to get rid of the part of the base on which the glue was not applied. To do this, carefully cut off unnecessary fabric from the back of the veil between the ribs.

There are quite a few ways to make a fan at home: from the simplest, which even a child can easily handle, to more complex ones that require certain skills. You just need to choose the right one and get to work.

Attention, only TODAY!

Paper fans are one of the easiest origami crafts to make, and the charm and elegance of these fans make them great gifts for party guests, table setting decorations, or gift wrapping pieces. You can create fans of various sizes: small ones for dolls or plush toys, large ones for cooling in the summer heat. Give each fan a unique personality by using different types of paper with any kind of patterns. The versatility and ease of making fans make this process a great idea for entertaining people of all ages on rainy days.

Steps

Part 1

Paper preparation

    Choose paper to determine the size and color of your future fan. If you are new to origami, be aware that specialty origami paper can be purchased from craft stores. Plain paper or thin cardboard can also be used as a popular alternative. You can fold origami products from any type of paper, if it has a suitable thickness for this.

    Cut the paper according to the desired size of the future fan. If you want a wider fan, use rectangular paper. Your fan will be about two-thirds the size of the long side of the sheet. Otherwise, you can use a square sheet of paper. From a square sheet, a fan is obtained about two-thirds of the size of the side of the square.

    Cut a square piece of paper into a rectangle. If you took a rectangular sheet of paper, skip this step. When using a square sheet, fold the top of the sheet about one centimeter. Start with paper face up; if the paper is the same on both sides, the choice of front side does not matter. Fold the fold by aligning the corners of the top side of the sheet with the sides of the paper, and then gently push the fold from the center out to the sides. Unfold the fold and cut off the excess part of the paper along the trace of this fold with scissors. Now you have a rectangular sheet of paper.

    • If you have access to a paper cutter, use it. The paper cutter allows you to cut paper quickly and evenly by inserting the sheet into the cutter and aligning it at right angles, and then the knife is quickly lowered onto it. The cutter can be effectively used to cut multiple sheets of paper at the same time.
    • Cut paper slowly. In order for your weight to be even, you need to cut as straight as possible. If you're having trouble getting a straight cut, try using a larger pair of scissors to get a straighter cut.

    Part 2

    Folding the fan
    1. Place the paper with the decorative side down. She should examine the back (undecorated or white) side up.

      Fold the top edge of the paper over one third. Think of it like folding a hot dog bun, you need to make a long narrow fold along the long edge of the sheet. To get an even fold, remember to align the corners of the paper with the sides of the sheet, and then crease the fold from the center to the sides.

      • You can improve the fold already made on the paper with your fingers by pressing them directly on the fold.
      • The back of the paper should touch at the fold. If the back of your paper is white, then the white side will touch the white side.
      • Take the folded paper and look at the fold profile from the side, making sure the decorative side of the paper is facing down. Note the "V" shape of the fold. Due to its shape, this fold is called a “V-fold”.
    2. Fold the paper again, but in half vertically, crease the fold, and then unfold. Keeping the original fold of the previous step, you need to perform the second “sandwich fold”. That is, it should be short and transverse, like the fold of bread when making sandwiches (as opposed to the long longitudinal fold of a hot dog bun). Fold the left side of the paper over to the right side, align the corners, and fold the fold away from the center to create an even V-fold, and then unfold the paper again. Now you will have a clear vertical line in the center of the paper.

      Fold the two vertical sides of the paper to the center fold. In this case, the sides of the paper should meet in the center, but should not overlap each other. This is called a "gate fold". When doing it, imagine double-leaf closing doors.

      Continue to make vertical folds-gates. Fold the vertical sides towards the center twice more, or do this until you have two folds about 1 cm wide. The sides must be folded back on themselves, forming two narrower folds each time. Be sure to check at each step that your folds are even and well washed.

      Expand all previously made vertical folds. Be careful when unfolding the paper so as not to tear the fruits of your hard work. Now you can see some vertical crease marks on the paper. The width of each section separated by folds is approximately 1 cm. Do not unfold the horizontal fold that you made in the second step.

      Rotate the paper 90 degrees. Now the paper fold made in the second step will lie vertically on the left side, and the previously vertical folds will become horizontal.

      • Depending on your main working hand, you may find it more convenient to position the vertical fold on the right. Try putting the paper in both ways and see what works best for you in the next steps.
    3. Make a V-fold along the bottom fold mark. Starting at the bottom, fold the bottom edge of the paper up. When viewed from the side, you should have a V-shaped fold profile. Remember to align the edges of the paper with the folds so that everything turns out nice and neat.

    4. Fold the bottom edge of the paper in the opposite direction along the next fold line. Hold your previous fold and fold the paper down. In this fold, the decorative side of the paper will meet the decorative side. This is called a "fold-slide". When looking at this fold from the side, you can see its similarity with the top of the mountain, that is, it is opposite to the V-shaped fold.

      • If you count the folds of paper from below, then the V-shaped fold should go first, and above it the fold-slide.
    5. Repeat alternating folds along the remaining horizontal fold marks. Perform a V-fold, and then a slide-fold, and so on. This series of folds resembles an accordion. When folding paper, you will immediately notice the characteristic crease pattern.

      • If you make a mistake, don't lose patience and keep working. At first, the task may seem insurmountable, but after the first few attempts, the process will be quite easy.

      Part 3

      Making a pen

      Now that you know how easy it is, you can make some more fans.

      • If you want to remake your fan, simply unwind the handle and unfold the paper. After the accordion folds appear on the paper, you may want to decorate them, for example, using glitter glue or stickers. After that, you can easily assemble your fan again, since all the necessary folds are already present on it.
      • You can decorate the fan by pre-stamping the paper for it with decorative stamps or by outlining stencil designs along the future top edge of the fan and its middle.
      • Roll paper on a hard, flat surface; this will make it easier for you to make neat and tidy folds.
      • Another easy way to decorate a fan is to use glitter glue. Just decorate the paper with this glue and let it dry before you start folding the fan. Try drawing spirals, dots, or different shapes.
      • Use scissors to carve a decorative design into your folded fan. For a special effect, look for special scissors with patterned cuts. Be careful when cutting folded paper to avoid cutting yourself.
