Knitted slippers with felt soles are a great option for winter, and in general they are much more attractive than simple sock slippers due to their increased wear resistance. In addition, they are more comfortable for the foot, which receives a large share of depreciation. And it’s not difficult to make such home shoes on your own, because it can be done even with simple columns on air loops, without any frills.

The most difficult moment in this product is not the sole, but the upper part of the slippers: it can be done in several ways. The easiest is to first tie the sock, connect it to the inside of the sole and tie it in a circle, thereby creating low sides. The option is suitable for those who need classic slippers in which the heel remains open. If you want to get warm closed slippers, a strip is knitted separately, which will become a high side skirt, after which it is sewn to the toe and inner sole. In any case, there are unchanged details - this is the insole and toe.

  • It is recommended to knit slippers from woolen or half-woolen yarn. For a foot 24 cm long (37 size), you will need about 100/300 yarn. Hooks for standard knitting are used under numbers 2 and 3. In addition, a needle and an awl, as well as insoles, the creation of which will be discussed a little later, will come in handy.

You can crochet slippers using absolutely any technique available to you, but if you are still a beginner in working with a crochet, you should turn to classic knitting. The diagram below is focused on a medium-sized leg, so adjust the number of loops for yourself.

  1. Cast on 9 air loops, turn the chain over and knit it in the opposite direction.
  2. Start increasing the width of the canvas: the alternation will be as follows - double crochet, double crochet, pull 2 out of the loop through double crochets, and again double crochet and double crochet. Go back through the crossed columns.
  3. The next rows increase by knitting each loop as a column with 2 crochets.
  4. From the 11th row, start from the middle to replace 4-5 columns with 2 crochets with single ones, and also put 4 crossed columns in the center. Thus, on the 13th row there will be 8 of them, on the 15th - 12, and on the 17th - already 16 crossed columns.
  5. The 18th row is knitted as 26 crossed columns in the center, 4 columns with a crochet in each direction, and 3 columns with 2 crochets closing.

If such a knitting pattern seems complicated to you, you can simply increase the number of loops on each even row by pulling 2 single crochets from each. In this case, you need to make a triangle of 6-8 rows, then continue to knit an even fabric in straight rows up to the 12th (20th in total) row.

  • Now it is necessary, where the last loop turned out, to start making a side tape (for slippers with an open heel): make 3-4 rows with ordinary crossed columns. The length of the tape is selected according to the length of the foot.

How to make a sole for slippers?

Professionals recommend purchasing felt insoles of the required size and width, after which it remains only to tie the inner sole according to their silhouette. If you need to work with felt personally, put your foot on it, circle it with a pen or soap, placing it perpendicular to the surface, and cut out the resulting silhouette.

  • To knit the inner sole, you can resort to any of the available techniques: either weave a pigtail in 35 loops and build up rows in a spiral in a circle, in the shape of an oval, which is the easiest way; or make a rectangle of crossed columns, after which, alternating them and half-columns, complete it on each side with semicircles. The finished insole should be oval shaped and exactly the same as the felt sole.
  • The insole is sewn to the felt with a needle, the thread is thrown over the edge. After that, it remains only to do the same with the top of the slippers.

We knit crochet cozy indoor slippers-boots.
Slippers are knitted crochet from individual 6-coal motifs, the insole is purchased.
For work we need: yarn and hook, insoles, scissors, (needle).
I recommend choosing thicker yarn, and the hook for it is a little thinner than indicated on the package, so that it turns out to be quite dense knitting and the slippers held their shape.
Purchased insoles (one size larger than your foot size) - I recommend taking medium hardness, such that they can be pierced with an awl without much effort.
1. First, I tie the insoles, which I previously pierced with an awl, stepping back from the edge of 0.5 cm and the distance between the holes also made 0.5 cm.
When tying, I used single crochets, 2 in each hole.
Then you need to measure the length of the tied insole around the perimeter in order to further calculate the length of the side of the motif.
2. Next we knit 6 motives crochet(3 motifs for each slipper). It is also necessary that the length of the side of the motif multiplied by 8 is equal to the length of the insole around the perimeter (if necessary, you can adjust the pattern by removing or adding rows in it).
3. We collect slippers. To do this, take 3 ready-made motives and sew them according to the following scheme: the sides marked with the number 1 are sewn with one seam. The sides marked with 2 are sewn together to form a back seam. The sides under the number 3 will be sewn to the insole in the future. The sides marked with 4 are not sewn together.
4. We tie the entire design of motifs to the insole, slightly shifting the corner of the nose to the right or left of the center (to get the right and left slippers). If necessary, the details can be pre-chopped with pins or basted.
We put on, we wear, we rejoice! :)

Indoor slippers

Preparation for work

For needlework, you need to prepare:

  • hook - the number of the hook is selected depending on the thickness of the yarn;
  • yarn - woolen or half-woolen is suitable for such a product, the amount is selected based on the size;
  • felt insoles - in accordance with the size;
  • awl or thick needle.

All tools are ready, you can start knitting. For beginner craftswomen, a video lesson has been prepared with a detailed description of the work.

Step-by-step instruction

Holes must be made in the insoles with an awl or needle. This is done at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge of the insole, a gap of 0.5 cm is left between the holes.

The first loop can be knitted in any hole convenient for the master. Having threaded the thread into the first loop, it is necessary to make a knot, and then knit according to the scheme: single crochets in the holes, 1 air loop between the columns. So knit the entire row around the perimeter of the sole.

The next step is to tie the inner layer of the slippers. To do this, you need to dial a pigtail 5 cm long shorter than the insole, and then knit according to the scheme:

You can consider the principle of knitting in more detail in the diagram.

Masters advise knitting this part 2-3 mm less than the insole. In this case, the sole will be more even and will not stretch, even if the felt decreases in size after shrinkage. The connected part is sewn to the insole with a needle over the edge.

The sole of slippers is ready, you can proceed to the upper part. To do this, dial 5 air loops, and then knit as follows:

You can use your imagination and complement the shoes with pompoms, knitted flowers or embroidery.

Knitted slippers

Making slippers for children and adults is one of the most popular projects of many needlewomen.

It's safe to say that almost every one of us has tried to knit, sew or felt them out of wool. However, sometimes you want to skip the step of selecting the right number of loops, inventing or adapting a pattern, adjusting sizes and proceed directly to the knitting process, knowing exactly what will happen as a result.

Since demand dictates supply, I would like to provide you with my version of knitted house slippers.

The material for such products, most often, is yarn of different colors and textures, which remained in a small amount after knitting larger products. Quality and composition do not matter, although the percentage of wool or mohair will make the slippers warmer, and nylon, polyamide or cotton will give durability.

When working with leftovers, it is important to correctly calculate their amount so that there is enough yarn for two identical products. To do this, you can immediately wind them into two identical balls. It is rather difficult to indicate the exact thickness of the yarn, since I mixed several types (acrylic and mohair), but you can focus on the size of the hook - No. 3.5.

Felt insoles of the right size are very suitable for the sole. They are soft and at the same time quite hard. Alternatively, you can cut out the sole from a piece of leather or canvas, but these will need to be further reinforced to make the slippers comfortable.

The meaning of the symbols used in the master class:

o - air loop;

Single crochet;

2 - double crochet;

g - lush column.

The knitted detail of these slippers consists of several parts connected in the knitting process:

  1. Semicircle- the main part of the knitted fabric. It is not difficult to complete it, you just need to follow the expansion rules - in six places of each row. The last two rows of double crochets are knitted without expansion to give volume to the slippers. The execution of a semicircular fragment provides for return, rather than circular rows.
  1. 1o, 6+;
  2. 3 o, * g, 3 o, *, repeat. 5 times, 2;
  3. 1o, * 3 + into an arch from 3-x o *, repeat. 4 times;
  4. 3 o, skip 1+, in the 2nd + 2 2, 1 o, 2 2 in the same loop, * skip 2 +, and 2 2, 1 o, 2 2 in the same loop *, repeat. 3 times, 2;
  5. 1 o, * 1+, 1 +, 2 + in 1o of the V-th row, 1 +, 1 + *, repeat. 4 times;
  6. 3o, 282;
  7. 3o, 28 2.

  1. Plank. After knitting the last rows of the semicircle, you can proceed to the second stage: knitting the strap. Its first row is based on the even edge of a semicircular fragment. It is necessary to ensure that the loops of the first row are evenly and symmetrically placed, and the bar itself is tied tightly. Basic rules for tying the edge of knitted fabrics:

The height of 1 row + canvas is equal to the width of 1 + strapping;

The height of 1 row 2 of the canvas is equal to the width of 2 + strapping.

  1. 1 o, 24 + in accordance with the rules for tying the edge;
  2. and all following rows of plank: 24 + in each row.

3. Side pieces. In order for the slippers to fit snugly on the leg and not jump off, you need to tie two parts of the side parts. They should be knitted in the same direction as the bar. They are an extension of it.

A characteristic feature of knitting the side parts is that they should be cut only on one side (from the one that Not will be sewn on). Then the slippers will take the correct shape and become comfortable.

Description:

  1. 1 o, 6 + in the loops of the last row of the bar;

II - VIII: 6 +;

  1. 1 o, 2 + knit together (cloth reduction), 4 +;
  2. 1o, 5+;
  3. 1 o, 2 + together, 3 +;
  4. 1o, 4+;
  5. 1 o, 2 + together, 2 +;
  6. 1o, 3+;
  7. 1 o, 2 + together, 1 +;
  8. Knit all loops together.

When the knitted part (semicircle, placket and side parts) is completely ready, it should be tied with one row +, this will fix its shape, and then with one row of “crawler step”, it will give a neat and complete look. A very important point when tying the fabric is the correct execution of the corners: external and internal. 3 single crochet, with a common base, form an external angle of 90 degrees, and 3 single crochet, knitted together - an internal angle of 90 degrees.
