In theory, the role-playing game could have been taken ready-made, but we decided to come up with the entire plot ourselves. The script was not particularly intriguing, but each of the guests received a description of their role (there was an elderly millionaire, young hunters for his inheritance, a Greenpeace fan and a fur lover) and had to fulfill their goals. We, as the birthday girls and the authors of the story, played the roles of journalists, filmed it all on camera and interviewed the participants in the events using a rolling pin instead of a microphone. The alcohol was strong and there was clearly enough of it. The heroes of the drama (and not all of the guests knew each other) quickly scattered to their rooms and became acquainted. I remember that even an animal activist became friends with a lady in a fur collar.

2. Quest

Once again the end of May was approaching, I was once again racking my brains about how to arrange such an interesting thing for my friends for my birthday. This time I did not come up with the scenario myself, but ordered the organization and conduct of the quest by a professional. We all turned into actors, actresses, screenwriters who came to the hotel for auditions and further filming of the film, but our task was to find the director’s killer. At the same time, we somehow still managed to take part in auditions for the role of the main character of the film. A great way to spend time: on the one hand, a great opportunity to be at the table (well, you understand me), on the other hand, to use your brain and participate in the action, but without jumping in bags.

3. Party at the Jolly Roger

It was 2007, the day before my birthday, another film in the series about pirates of the Caribbean was released in Russia. I decided to tie the theme of the celebration to this topic. The evening began with a trip to the cinema together, and then we sat down in a small group at the Jolly Roger restaurant with the appropriate interior, which I had found in advance. It was a long time ago, but if I remember correctly, in addition to the feast itself, I organized a game of mafia, which I remade into a pirate style with black marks, a ship’s doctor and a cabin boy. There were also small gifts for participants - some simple souvenir with images of Pirates of the Caribbean.

4. Costume party

The idea is simple - everyone comes in suits. You can turn this idea around in a way that suits you: say that the theme is not important, the main thing is that the suit fits (my friends in such a situation quickly went free, picked dandelions in the yard and came in wreaths) or set a specific theme for the transformation.

My friend threw an American-style party for her birthday. In addition to the stylized clothing she asked guests to wear, the theme of the party was supported by the menu - awesome homemade burgers and fries.

But another friend of mine decided to organize a karaoke trip for her birthday (and no, I don’t agree that it’s corny!). All invitees had to transform into some kind of musical hero (you could choose either Beethoven or Lady Gaga). It just so happened that both of my friends celebrated their birthdays with different companies, but on the same day. That's why I became the American Britney Spears. True, everyone confused me with a Japanese schoolgirl.

5. Every hunter wants to know

In 2012, my birthday theme was rainbow. No, the law prohibiting propaganda had not yet been adopted, so I invited seven invited friends to choose one color from the rainbow and choose clothes and accessories of this color (although, of course, it was possible to stir up something in the style of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). The idea was to go into nature with everything so beautiful and colorful and take a good photo (). My friend is a very good photographer and gave me a photo session and bought me all sorts of colorful accessories and donuts. By the way, I also gave each guest an envelope with colored Skittles (try the rainbow!) and hair clips with a flower of the chosen color.
