Integrated cycles of classes on familiarization with Russian folk culture

Introduction

We can say with confidence that most of us, unfortunately, are very superficially familiar with folk culture and the past of our people. How did Russian people live? How did they work and how did they relax? What made them happy and what worried them? What customs did they observe? How did you decorate your home?

We consider it necessary to make preschoolers aware that they are carriers of Russian folk culture and to educate them in national traditions.

We have developed integrated cycles of classes to introduce children to the origins of Russian folk culture, united by a common theme.

Wide use of folklore (fairy tales, songs, ditties, proverbs, sayings, etc.). Oral folk art, like nowhere else, reflects the traits of the Russian character and its inherent moral values ​​- ideas about kindness, beauty, truth, fidelity, etc. A special place in such works is occupied by a respectful attitude towards work and admiration for the skill of human hands.

Acquaintance with traditions, folk signs and rituals, ritual holidays. They contain the most subtle observations of people on the characteristic features of the seasons, weather changes, the behavior of birds, insects, plants, beliefs in amulets, etc.

Introduction to Russian folk games and counting rhymes. Russian folk games are one of the genres of oral folk art. They contain information that gives an idea of ​​the daily life of our ancestors, their way of life, work, and worldview. Games were an indispensable element of folk ritual holidays. Games satisfy children's thirst for action. Games provide abundant food for the mind and imagination.

Theatrical activities of children. Children learn to act out familiar songs, nursery rhymes, fables, fairy tales, etc. Finger theater, bibabo theater and costume theater are used. In the process of theatrical activities, children feel more deeply the atmosphere of the past, get acquainted with everyday objects, etc.

Acquaintance with musical folklore. Children learn to listen and sing Russian folk songs, lead round dances with humming, and perform the movements of Russian folk dances.

Introduction to decorative and applied arts. Children will learn the history of the origin of folk crafts. In the process of artistic and creative activity, they learn to perform elements of decorative painting.

Creation in the group of a mini-museum of objects characteristic of Russian folk life. Such mini-museums have a great influence on the formation of a child’s mental qualities - they develop curiosity and cultivate a sense of beauty.

Lesson 1. Speech development

Subject:“Whether in the garden or in the vegetable garden.”

Program content. Cultivate interest in oral folk art. Introduce children to the nursery rhyme “Our Goat.” Learn to solve descriptive riddles. Consolidate knowledge about vegetables, fruits and berries; their names.

Material. Stick (length 1 m), goat-dragonfly toy, basket, natural vegetables, fruits and berries: carrots, cucumbers, onions, turnips, cabbage, apples, currants; 3 plates, apples for treating children.

Preliminary work. Learning the nursery rhyme “Our goat.” Explanation of words and expressions: “kneaded dough”, “stood the stove”, “told fairy tales”, “fables”, “unheard of”. Each player calls himself a vegetable. Everyone stands in a circle. One child - a gardener - goes into the middle of the circle and knocks on the ground with a stick.

At the end of the game, the teacher and Kozlik ask the children what is growing in the garden. Children name the berries and fruits lying on the first and third plates. Then the teacher asks: “What grows in the garden?” Children name the vegetables lying on the second plate.

The products of Russian craftsmen have long been famous for their beauty: dishes, toys, boxes and other household utensils decorated with bright patterns.

Russian folk art is closely connected with customs and rituals, folk holidays, and folk music. All products of Russian craftsmen were made by hand. The master put all his soul and skill into each one. And he decorated his products with intricate paintings. Products were named after the villages where they were created. Each master had his own distinct manufacturing style. And now I’ll tell you about the more famous areas of folk craft.

  1. Khokhloma

Each of us has dishes at home. It can be different (Which one?) In the old days in Rus' they used wooden utensils. And it was made by wood craftsmen. Wood has always been one of the most accessible and favorite materials of Russian craftsmen.

One of the wooden crafts originated in the Nizhny Novgorod region, in the vicinity of the city of Nizhny Novgorod. Here is a village with the cheerful name Khokhloma. In Khokhloma, dishes were carved from soft trees (linden, birch, alder). They called it Khokhloma.

The carved item was first covered with a layer of clay, then soaked in linseed oil and several times with drying oil. After this, the master applied the design with a brush, then the product was again impregnated with drying oil and hardened in an oven. When exposed to heat, drying oil turned yellow and acquired a golden color.

The painting of Khokhloma products is full of unique originality. The main pattern is ears, berries, leaves, flowers and most importantly grass. “Grass” – black and red grass on a golden background – is considered the basis for the Khokhloma artist. The art of painting was passed down from generation to generation - from father to son, from grandfather to grandson. These poetic lines accurately convey the features of Khokhloma products:

2) The blue-blue miracle of Gzhel.

Now let’s look at the drawings of these dishes (view the album “Gzhel”). What does it have in common? That's right, this dish is painted with a blue-blue pattern located on a white background. This tableware is called Gzhel because it was made at a porcelain factory, which is located in the village of Gzhel, Moscow region. And this fishery originated more than 400 years ago. From white clay, craftsmen sculpted a wide variety of dishes, which were decorated with molded details. They sculpted figures of people, animals, and birds. All this was decorated with patterns of blue-blue color. And there is also a fairy tale - a legend:

“Once the girls who lived in the village of Gzhel went to the river to rinse their clothes. And the sky is reflected in the river. The river is blue - and the sky in it is blue. The girls showed such beauty to the masters. And they decided that such a blue sky could not be found anywhere in the world. That’s when the craftsmen began to paint their products with all shades of blue, as if they were trying to leave a piece of the blue sky on the dishes. And the patterns for painting were taken from nature - blades of grass and blades of grass in the field, flowers in the meadow and in the garden.”

Gzhel products are always easy to distinguish.(By what signs?)Tabletop sculpture has always been given a large place in Gzhel crafts. These are small figurines 5-20 cm high, depicting characters from folk tales, everyday scenes, as well as children's toys.(Show).

3) Yelets lace.

Guys, what is Lipetsk land famous for? What ancient Russian craft does Yelets glorify?

At the beginning of the 19th century in Yelets they began to master the craft of lace making at Protasova’s private factory.(Showing lace)

The technique of lace making is complex, it requires skill, a lot of experience and patience. And they weave lace using smooth wooden sticks - bobbins, on which threads are wound. The lacemaker moves the bobbins, makes knots, and gradually a lace fairy tale is born under her hands.(Show picture).

4) Toys.

For a long time in Rus', folk craftsmen have been making toys, which are named after the villages where they are created. Let's get to know some of them.

Here a bear and a man are working in a forge, hammering. Bogorodsk toys can move. Children especially like these toys.

And here are clay molded toys. They are called Dymkovo. They are made in the village of Dymkovo near the Russian city of Vyatka. People came up with the idea of ​​making these toys a long time ago. At first they were not made for fun, they protected the home, the family, and served as a talisman. Then the Dymkovo residents began to paint them with bright colors and use them as toys and souvenirs. Children and adults were very fond of clay whistles, which could sing in different voices. The famous Dymkovo “Ladies” in colorful sundresses, “turkeys”, “deer”, “goats”, “horsemen”.

That's right, the most favorite toys among the people, children were nesting dolls. The figurine of a nesting doll is carved from a wooden block. It splits into two parts, and there is another one in it, and another, and another... and so on until there are 10-12 dolls.

The most famous are Semenovsky and Zagorsk nesting dolls. They all differed in elements of painting, but each was “dressed” in a peasant costume: a painted sundress, a scarf, an apron. Later, all kinds of scenes from life began to be painted on the nesting dolls - about peasant life, about fun fairs, about folk holidays.

It seems that the nesting doll came to us from the world of legends and fairy tales, from hoary antiquity. In fact, it is only a little over a hundred years old. Its prototype was the brightly colored Easter eggs, which have long been carved from wood and painted by Russian craftsmen. These eggs were empty inside, and little was put into the big one. This is where the matryoshka came from; it even somewhat resembles an egg in shape. And the name “matryoshka” comes from the ancient female name Matryona, which was considered one of the most common female names.

Thanks to the joint work of educators, children and parents on the project, we obtained the following results:

  • Children have formed an image of the life of their great-grandparents, great-grandparents, and their values ​​are shown.
  • Children's ideas about their great-grandparents and great-grandfathers are expanded (their pedigree, where and by whom they worked, etc.), about the life of grandparents (where they live, who they are from, etc.)
  • Expanded knowledge about household items
  • Expanded knowledge about the device "Russian hut"
  • Knowledge of folk costume has been expanded.
  • The idea of ​​Russian folklore has been expanded.
  • A developmental environment has been created: didactic games have been selected, material has been prepared for role-playing games, illustrated and photo albums have been created. Selected information for parents (consultations on the topic, moving folders, questionnaires, etc.)
