Applique machine outline. We make different models of cars using applique technique

- this is our favorite application. Colorful cars, air transport and special equipment vehicles captivated the child at first sight. As soon as he saw these printed cars, he immediately ran to the table. If earlier with us, cutting was a task that was more necessary than pleasant, then when he saw the machines, he simply demanded to quickly draw “paths for cutting” - this is what we call a dotted line, and the first one took up his children's scissors.

As usual, having gathered a company, where would we be without his favorite friends - cars, the son got to work.

I cut out each car onto cards and circled it with a dotted line.

My son cut everything out himself and tried very hard. After cutting them out, my son would glue them onto the background. For probably another half hour he drove cars along the path, took off in a hot air balloon, carried passengers on a bus and, among the rescuers, hurried to an urgent call in a fire truck!

Having played enough and made me promise that he would not glue all the insects, but would leave a few so that there was something else to play with, we finally started gluing.

This is the result we got.

As usual, we inserted the applique into a frame and placed it in the most visible place!

Machine applique

Making crafts with a small child is a pleasure. There are many options and materials, you just need to choose the right ones and use your imagination. In addition, crafts develop finger motor skills and the baby’s imagination. On the Internet you can find many ideas and recommendations for choosing crafts, as well as step-by-step master classes. They will certainly help you decide on an application that both the child and the parent will like.

Children's applications from colored paper and cereals are fun and enjoyable to make with a child: a truck and a passenger car, a powerful KAMAZ, a horse and a goldfish, a traveling frog - the motives for creativity are simply inexhaustible. The applique turns out voluminous and looks cute and funny. If the child is very young, perhaps it is worth simplifying the process - download and print the stencil for such an application from the Internet, and an older child can draw it himself.

Children who do not yet know how to cut out complex parts and cannot choose a craft on their own, can use the following ideas:

  • fish in an aquarium;
  • autumn/spring/summer/winter landscape;
  • fruits and vegetables;
  • butterfly;
  • flower meadow;
  • house;
  • car.

Applications for children consist of geometric shapes. You can use colored paper, cardboard, self-adhesive paper, foil, cereal and other interesting materials. To make your child have fun, it is best to turn the work process into a game. After the fake is ready, you can use it to decorate one of the walls or your child’s desk.

Application "Car" made of colored paper

For this simple but beautiful machine for little ones you will need:

To make the car look colorful, it is best to choose bright paper colors: yellow, red, blue, green. For this applique we will use blue and yellow colors for the body and black for the wheels. To make such a simple craft You won't need to print the template.

  1. On a sheet of blue paper, draw a square (3.5x3.5 cm) and a rectangle (4x6 cm).
  2. On a sheet of yellow paper, draw a small rectangle for the window (1.5x2 cm) and a large rectangle (4.5x10 cm).
  3. Cut out round wheels (two parts) from black paper. A child of primary school age can cope with the drawings on his own, but for a child of preschool age it is better to prepare all the details and then hand him the finished components of the application.
  4. Coat a large yellow rectangle with glue and place it horizontally on a white base sheet.
  5. Place the blue rectangle vertically next to the yellow one.
  6. Glue a yellow window onto the blue rectangle.
  7. Glue the blue square to the blue rectangle.
  8. Add wheels under the structure. The car is ready!

How to make a “Mushroom” applique from cereals

One of the most common materials that kids like is cereal. It could be buckwheat, semolina, rice, etc. For this craft we will need:

  • buckwheat grain;
  • semolina;
  • glue stick;
  • white base sheet;
  • simple pencil.

To get a beautiful applique, you just need to prepare a template. The child himself can glue the sheet and sprinkle it with cereal.

DIY “Horse” applique

This craft is fun to make from different materials: felt, corrugated paper, foil, etc. You can use several materials at once to get a beautiful texture. The “Horse” application does not require ready-made templates.

Materials:

  • blue, green, pink, black and yellow corrugated paper (velvet paper is also suitable);
  • white cardboard;
  • White paper;
  • plastic eyes;
  • scissors;
  • glue stick;
  • sequins or beads.

To make an amazingly beautiful applique, you need:

There is no shame in putting such an application in a frame and decorating your desktop with it.

Application "Aquarium" for the little ones

This craft consists of geometric shapes: circles and triangles. Creating an application does not require much effort and time.

It is very difficult to captivate boys, especially preschoolers, for a long time. And when it comes to needlework, parents are often faced with the child’s complete reluctance to do “girly things.” And in this case, you have to resort to a trick, for example, inviting the child to make crafts on the theme of his favorite toys. Boys especially like to draw, sculpt and paint a variety of models of cars. In the master classes below you will find several variations of service cars using the appliqué technique.

This small MK is suitable for teaching with children in the middle group. Here it is important to cut out all the details correctly, and this can be done using pre-prepared templates, from which children will simply transfer the contours onto colored paper. To make work go faster, you can use self-adhesive paper.

Step-by-step description of the lesson:

Video tutorial on making a fire truck

Three-dimensional fire truck made of colored paper

In addition to the applique, you can offer the children to make a three-dimensional model of a fire truck. This activity is suitable for older children in the preparatory group:

With such three-dimensional models, the whole group will be able to play in the future.

Paper police car

For children in the younger group to master the basics of needlework, applications from pre-printed templates and pictures are well suited.

For example, you can invite children to cut out and glue together parts of a police car like this: But this machine can be used as a stencil for appliqués:
Applique can be made not only from paper. This is what, for example, a road patrol car made of plasticine looks like:

Making a truck out of colored paper

The easiest way to applique a truck is to use simple geometric shapes. This lesson is ideal for children in kindergarten:

You can offer such an experiment for children. Add applique elements to the most ordinary drawing:

Ideas and templates for applications with cars

Paper applications

The applique gives enormous scope for children's imagination. We offer you the most interesting ideas for making cars using this technique.

Such templates are very convenient, because in this case, for applique it is enough to cut out the blanks and glue them step by step onto the base. For beginning needleworkers, this practice will be very useful.

Boys of all ages love transport. This love can be used so that the son puts on this or that thing, fills in the gaps in mathematics, falls asleep during the day without whims, eats all the porridge... The main thing is that the child has a “car” appliqué in one form or another in his field of vision. It can be sewn, embroidered, knitted, or made from paper. Let's talk about this in more detail.

Paper transport

Paper appliqués are good for postcards and panels. At the same time, boys are happy to make cars, without saying that “handicrafts” are a girl’s activity, and dads are pleased to receive gifts from their sons for their birthday, professional holiday, or February 23rd.

An unusual postcard in the shape of a car. Find any template and transfer it onto folded thick paper. It is better to take a car that has a wide side, trunk, body where the fold of the postcard will be located. Cut out the card on three sides. It turns out a car that can be opened. Now you decorate the outside and inside of the card and write congratulations.

You can make a classic greeting card with a gift box, and when you open it, a three-dimensional “car” applique will unfold. Just when bending the sheet, cut the strip, bend it in the opposite direction, and glue the car. Now, when you open the postcard, the car will “rush” forward. Next, draw the landscape (sky, road, hills).

Police car, fire truck, ambulance

You can build any vehicle from felt, drape, corduroy and other non-fraying material, be it a police car, an ambulance or a fire truck. To do this, print out a car template from coloring books for kids, since the image in them is simple, large, and simplified in detail. Cut all the parts.

To make it you need a white body, a black hood with a trunk, wheels, blue wheels, red flashing lights, yellow headlights. There is no need to make glass; their color will depend on the base of the product. Cut out a solid police car template from white felt. On this base you pin the remaining parts, stitch them on a sewing machine or by hand.

According to this plan, another applique is made (fire department). You need several of them. Sew adhesive tape on the back side. Sew a regular rectangular mat with road markings. Sew Velcro on the “road.” Now official vehicles can drive in any direction.

Applique "truck"

Small pillows with cargo transport look original. Pillowcases are made as follows.

  • Cut two squares of cotton to the size of the pillow (consider volume, allowances, space for a zipper).
  • Make an applique using self-adhesive fabric, ironing the parts with a hot iron.
  • Next, glue the machine to the front side of one piece and sew the edges with an overcast stitch.
  • Sew three sides of the pillowcase from the wrong side and turn it inside out.
  • Sew a zipper on the bottom.
  • Place a pillowcase over your pillow.

Knitted or sewn elements perfectly hide a stain or a hole on children's things. For example, a T-shirt can be decorated with a bright applique “The machine is carrying the harvest.” You don't have to buy it, you can sew it.

To do this, cut out a complete pickup template from cotton. Sew wheels, rims, bumper, window onto it. Sew all the lines using satin stitch or zigzag. Separately sew a box with a pumpkin (take thick material). Pin the pieces onto the T-shirt and sew them on with an overcast stitch.

Application "passenger car"

Anyone who knows how to crochet can knit any pattern. A knitted applique will decorate a scarf, hat, blanket, rug. To knit a passenger car, cast on a chain of thirteen stitches. In the first row, starting from the third loop, knit eleven double crochets.

The next row increases by three columns (increase from the hood side). The third one is saved unchanged. If, when knitting, the thread ends up on the trunk side, pass the product through connecting posts, and then move on to the fourth row.

In the fourth row, knit a hood (five stitches), for the window, cast on five stitches, step back three stitches, knit two stitches with two crochets, for the second window, cast on the same chain and in the last two stitches of the third row, knit two stitches with two crochets and one top .

The last row is tying the entire applique with single crochets. Next, knit round wheels. First, shape the car (if necessary, iron the edges through gauze), then sew on the wheels.

Knitted appliques

Please note that thick yarn will make a voluminous applique. A machine made from thin yarn will keep its shape if you knit simple columns with slip stitches, that is, the thread is knitted with the column and a relief is created.

If you are making a blanket or bedspread, then use soft yarn for appliqués; for rugs you need thick yarn. First you make cars, then you knit colored squares. Distribute the blanks (take pictures of all options, then choose the best one).

Then sew appliqués onto the squares according to the pattern of the product. Next, tie all the elements with the main color and connect them to each other. Tie the resulting rug with multi-colored posts or sew on braid.

Such applications can be used in an educational book or on a rug, supplemented with other elements. Then the cars will be removable. And they are attached to the base using adhesive tape, buttons, ropes, snaps, and zippers. They can be made convex by adding filler.

Brief summary

The "machine" applique performs a number of functions: develops children's motor skills when working with paper, felt or textile cards; decorates clothes, pillows, blankets, bedspreads; hides flaws on children's things; enriches the child’s cognitive sphere with the active participation of an adult.
