To create a flowering tree we needed: cotton pads, threads, a piece of newspaper, a pencil, green woolen threads, an old clay mug, a glue gun, green and red paints and river pebbles.
1. First you need to form the buds; to do this, we fold the cotton pads in the form of funnels, which must be tied in the middle with a thread.
2. Next, the blanks need to be turned out; to do this, the wider part of the funnel is bent onto the narrower part, you get a rose bud. We turned the buds inside out after we painted them and dried them.Then leaves were cut out of the disks. From one disk we got four leaves.

It is almost impossible to paint the blanks with a brush (although the baby became interested in painting one leaf for a long time), so we did it as follows - in a container we diluted a small amount of paint, red and green, for flowers and leaves, respectively, with water. The workpieces were dipped into the solution and then squeezed out. I used watercolor, but I think any water-soluble paint will do.
4. Flowers can be dried naturally, but it takes a long time. We dried our preparations in the oven at a temperature of about 100 degrees. From about 20-30 minutes.

For the stem, you can take a pencil, a piece of a twig or a crossbar from an unnecessary hanger; on the stem, using glue, we attach thick green woolen threads, winding them in a spiral.
6. Roll a ball from a piece of newspaper and secure it with threads - this is the basis for gluing flowers and leaves. Lubricate the sharpened side of the pencil with glue and stick it into a newspaper ball.
7. After all the components are prepared, we begin to glue the flowers and leaves. It is very convenient to use a glue gun, as it sets almost instantly. But you can use PVA or superglue.
8. Using the same glue, we secure the trunk in a pot (in our case, a clay mug) and cover it with pebbles. We had very few pebbles; there were empty spaces left, which we filled with coffee beans (aesthetically and fragrantly!).

Next, you need to prepare the trunk for our miracle tree, it can be either a wood stick, or an ordinary pencil, sushi sticks, it all depends on the size of the tree’s crown. To make the trunk look much more attractive, we can paint it with aerosol or acrylic paint, wrap it with a floral or satin thin ribbon, and cover it with shiny paper or rhinestones. The decorated topiary trunk is inserted into the hole pre-cut with scissors in the base ball. But first you need to pour a small amount of glue into the hole and hold the stick until it dries completely.
One of the final stages of making our tree is decorating the container. The role can be a plastic cup, a pot, a tin can. Whatever you choose, the work is approximately the same. There are several options for decorating a particular container.

Once the mixture has thickened to the consistency of thick sour cream, fill the pot with it, install the barrel and hold it level for 2-3 minutes. Leave the mixture to dry for 3-4 hours. If you choose gypsum as a base, then remember that it is diluted in water and when finished it should resemble thick sour cream. Drying time is 35-40 minutes.

The white paper needs to be divided into 4 strips of 5 x 30 cm format; newspaper can be used to replace the paper, but it is made of a softer material and will need to be colored several times. Next, you need to take a knitting needle (or a stick with a small diameter) and screw the previously cut strip onto it, and it is best to lubricate the strip with glue. This is necessary so that when cutting the tube it does not unwind. The resulting tubes must be cut into 3 equal parts and painted in a light green shade.
Then we apply glue to the prepared napkin and distribute it evenly throughout the jar; this must be done in several layers. After the napkin has dried, you need to glue the already made tubes to it, which are colored light green.
