How to draw a penguin step by step: lessons for children and adults. How to draw a penguin: interesting facts, stages Penguins in Antarctica

Penguins are very beautiful and interesting birds. The child will certainly enjoy watching them at the zoo, on TV and reading in books.

And after studying their appearance and lifestyle, you can try to draw penguins with a pencil. Doing this step by step will not be difficult for children and adults.

For babies

The best place to start is with a cheerful penguin. It is ideal for small children who ask them to draw this bird with a pencil. Invite them to watch you do it.

After some time, they will be able to reproduce the drawing themselves, repeating all the steps step by step.

So, let's start drawing. Draw two circles on paper, one larger and the other smaller. The smaller one should be located at the top - this will be the head.

We draw two intersecting lines on it - they are auxiliary for later adding parts of the face. We connect the circles with smooth lines.

We draw the right wing and the convex crown. Then symmetrically - left.

Adding eyes. Then we draw a line indicating the future white belly of the bird. Large legs are a distinctive feature of every penguin.

We remove all unnecessary lines. Pencil drawing can be considered complete. Now all that remains is to call the children and invite them to color the resulting picture.

Emperor penguin

The emperor penguin impresses with its size, proud posture and beautiful plumage. At the same time, drawing it with a pencil is no more difficult than the previous version. So, we introduce the children and begin to draw an ice inhabitant step by step.

To begin with, we again depict two geometric figures. This time we should have a large oval and a circle that will be about four times smaller.

When we draw something step by step, we first need to lay the foundation. Despite the fact that it will later acquire new details and often be completely erased, it should be taken seriously - so we draw carefully.

The next step is to add the beak, paws and wings. To draw a beautiful penguin, you must try to repeat the correct proportions shown in the picture.

Now we outline the resulting image - our penguin should acquire a streamlined body.

Adding the final details: the contours of the tummy, the smooth lines of the wings. We remove unnecessary elements.

The final touch is coloring. Let's use a simple pencil, because penguins are black and white. Let's add a play of light and shadow - and now we have a wonderful surprise for children.

As you can see, drawing a proud bird with a pencil is very simple. If you learn to do this step by step, you will soon be able to independently complement the drawing with some interesting elements.

Cartoon characters

Drawing is an amazing activity. It allows you to recreate on paper the characters of your favorite films, books, and cartoons. Try to portray hilarious penguins from Madagascar with your children.

The finished version will look like this.

If it seems to you that it will be very difficult to recreate such a picture, let’s say that you will have to work hard the first time, but we do not offer anything supernatural and accessible only to famous artists. As always, we will draw in stages.

Let's start with the central character. We depict the figure of Skipper. First we do it schematically, then gradually we give it the necessary parameters. Add the beak and eyes.

Add wings, legs and a line demarcating black and white colors on the body.

Paint over the black area.

We outline where the remaining figures will be located. We schematically indicate the poses.

On our left is Prapor. We begin to highlight its outline, beak and eye. Then we add flippers and legs.

On the right is Kowalski. We depict it in the same sequence.

The last figure is Rico. We do the same with him.

Now that the whole cheerful company has been drawn, you can start removing unnecessary lines and coloring. If you prefer, keep the drawing in black and white. If you want to add bright colors and surprise children with your skills, arm yourself with watercolors.

Drawing a penguin is easy if you are armed with a desire to create and some knowledge.

Hi all! Today we have prepared a new drawing lesson for beginners, in which, as you have already seen, we will talk about how to draw a penguin.

The lesson will be simple - our artists specially drew it in such a way as to avoid any difficult moments with proportions, pose, shadows or anything else. Despite the simplicity of drawing, this work in your execution can look very, very good. Actually, let's take some drawing paper, your favorite pencil, an eraser and let's get started!

Step 1

First, let's draw the outlines of the body and head. Looks like - the body is indicated by a large rounded figure, the head looks like a smaller rounded figure.

Step 2

Now let’s draw a small and, again, rounded figure, a beak. It should be located slightly to the left of the middle of the head relative to us.

Step 3

It's time to draw the eyes of our penguin. They look like a pair of ovals, each of which contains a smaller oval according to the principle. Pay attention to the position of the small ovals - it is this detail that conveys the direction of view.

Step 4

We will use one smooth line to denote the eyebrows and cheeks of our penguin. The important point here is the distance between the cheeks and the contours of the head - to the left of us, the line of the cheeks is inside the contour of the head, there is a small distance between these lines, and on the left, the cheek line extends significantly beyond the contours of the head.

Step 5

Okay, now we’ll use a couple of very short smooth lines to connect the head of our penguin and the body on the sides. Here we will draw the contours of the wings - look, they bend slightly in different directions. By the way, we have a very similar level of difficulty, don’t forget to take a look if you want to practice on simple drawings.

Step 6

Let's draw wide paws spread out in different directions. In the same step, we will draw a border in the lower right part of the body.

Step 7

Let's erase all the extra lines from our penguin, clean up the drawing and outline the main lines.

Step 8

The final step is to paint over the dark areas on the body and face of our penguin, using a simple soft pencil. Here you should pay attention to the glare of the pupils - we must leave these two white spots unpainted, this is a very important detail. It will be more convenient to mark their contours in advance before painting. It is best to place them in the same places as in our sample.

Actually, it was a lesson in which we talked about how to draw a penguin for children and novice artists. We hope everything worked out for everyone. With this we say goodbye and invite you to visit our website for fresh drawing lessons!

The Emperor Penguin is an amazingly beautiful bird that lives in Antarctica. Drawing a penguin is quite easy and fun, because the drawing turns out very cute. The design of the Emperor Penguin is especially beautiful, since it has an unusual combination of bright yellow and black plumage, and the penguin in your picture will look very elegant.
You can also learn how to draw cartoon children's drawings of a penguin from the cartoon "Madagascar" using this lesson. You just need to slightly change the penguin’s “face”, make it more emotional and expressive. Although draw a penguin It’s not difficult, it’s better to draw a penguin in stages, first with a simple pencil, and then lightly color it with paints or colored pencils.

1. Drawing of a penguin. General outline

What's the easiest way draw a penguin? Of course, using simple initial contours, then only adding more and more details to them. To make the drawing symmetrical, draw the first step as accurately as possible, namely an oval for the body and a circle for the head. The oval of the penguin's body should be approximately four times the diameter of the head circumference.

2. Contours of beak, paws and wings

First draw the outline of the penguin's beak. This is the most difficult step, try to make it proportional to the body so that the beak does not turn out to be huge or very small in the future. At the bottom of the body, mark where the paws will be located. Again, make sure that they are not offset from the center. The wings are also quite easy to draw, only the left wing of the penguin should be extended slightly forward.

3. General outline of the shape of the torso and head

Continue drawing the outline of the beak, outlining the oval and you will get the body of the penguin. After this, draw the preliminary shape of the wings. Please note that the right wing is positioned edgewise in relation to the viewer. Remove the extra contour lines and you will see how penguin drawing began to “emerge.”

4. How to draw penguin paws

Drawing a penguin's eye is very simple. This is where you begin this stage. After this, you need to draw the paws in more detail. The lower feet (flippers) are more like the webbed feet of a goose, but of course much larger.

5. Finish drawing the penguin

At this stage, the drawing of the penguin only needs to be slightly corrected, and if everything turns out smoothly and accurately, then you know how to draw well. But in any case, at this step you can still correct the drawing. At the next step we will color the picture, and then it will be difficult to correct.

6. Plumage coloring

It is not necessary to color the penguin drawing with paints. Shade the plumage with a simple pencil, and only some areas of the Emperor Penguin can be colored with yellow colored pencil. This effect will further decorate the picture and make it more realistic. In addition, if you add the surrounding landscape or draw its cub next to it, then your drawing will be a real painting.

In this lesson you will be able to draw a beautiful Macaw parrot step by step.

The toucan is similar to the Emperor penguin in that it has bright yellow plumage. They are also united by the fact that the penguin and toucan are birds.

The drawing of the duck was made on a graphics tablet, but it can be used for drawing with a simple pencil.

Your child doesn't want to draw? Most likely, he is afraid that he will not succeed. Try to overcome your fear using our experience.

Our ward Dima (8 years old). He doesn’t like to draw, especially with a pencil (no fine motor skills) or with paints (it’s difficult to draw with the tip of a brush). He loves pastel: it doesn’t take much effort to rub it, but it turns out evenly and beautifully.

We draw side by side: I have my drawing, and Dima has his. Good teaching method. An adult shows a step-by-step drawing of an object, and the child copies. It turns out to be like working on equal terms. The boy, seeing that I don’t succeed right away, stops feeling complex about his own failures. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work out: we’ll erase it, fix it, and provide assistance. We will definitely praise you! (Learning to criticize step by step)

I recently read an article about Elena Isinbaeva. She even took art courses so she could draw with her daughter. Courses are good, but not required. All adults can draw children's drawings. The child must see our interest.

Preliminary work

  1. On the globe we will show the Arctic and Antarctic - the earth's poles
  2. We will find material about Antarctica in the encyclopedia, the Internet, and the library. The boy will have to remember the icy country (we don’t use the word “mainland” yet) and its inhabitants. The main inhabitant is a penguin. We read all available information.
  3. How to draw it? Let's learn the easiest way to depict a penguin.
  4. We are planning how to draw Antarctica. Let's make a sketch.
  5. We select pastels and paint.

Penguins in Antarctica

Materials

  1. Pastel. Pastel pencils: black, red.
  2. A simple pencil.
  3. A sheet of white paper for drawing.
  4. Napkins.
  5. Eraser.

First, show your child how to draw a penguin step by step. We offer a very simple penguin drawing. And then we move on to the picture (the plot drawing).

Another way to easily depict a penguin with pastels on video

How to draw penguins in Antarctica

Let's draw how penguins feed and fish.

1. On a sheet of drawing paper secured to the tablet with masking tape, make a sketch with a simple pencil. Take a TM pencil or a generally hard one, depending on how hard the child presses on the pencil. In the video, huge ice mountains with cracks hung over the sea. Only on a narrow strip of shore did birds approach the water.
2. We start coloring from the sky. Today the student made me happy: he independently added blue and violet colors to blue. Why do such little things make you happy? The most important thing in learning is not just to learn something. And learn to apply the acquired skills in similar and dissimilar situations. This is called learning ability, indicating that the child has prospects, even if he is currently diagnosed with mental retardation.

3. Let's move on to the cliffs. They are white. But along the cracks there are grayish (shadows) with blue. Let's use the lightest gray we have. And let's add a little blue.
4. Add blue to the snow on the shore and aqua to the sea
5. Now the penguins are in Antarctica. Black and white. Since they are small in size they are difficult to color with pastel chalk. Here, pastel pencils were used for coloring: even, white and red (for the beak and paws). Gently rub the pastel on the sea with your finger. The painting is complete. To display it on the website, we had to slightly enhance some of the lines of the drawing in Photoshop, otherwise they were very hard to see. When you draw, this is normal, the lines should be thin so as not to stand out. Unfortunately, they were lost when processed for the Internet. We apologize.

Larisa Borisova

Everyone knows about the penguin:

He's a bird, but he doesn't fly.

But it floats beautifully,

as if he were a sea fish.

I bring to your attention a small tutorial on how you can teach children to draw penguins using only ovals.

Draw a rectangle with light lines. Diagonally insert the body of the penguin into it in the form of an oval, pointed at the bottom.

Outline the legs and wings. Extend the lines of the rectangle in the upper corner and draw in the head and then the beak.

connect the head with the body with smooth lines. Give the legs the shape of a foot, and give the wing the shape of a fin.

Erase the guide lines with an eraser, and make the main details clearer.

Paint over with wax crayons.

Use watercolors to paint the background in the form of the Northern Lights. Watercolor goes well with wax crayons. The work immediately looks complete.

Here are the works completed by the children of our senior group.

Even those children who do not have a sufficiently high level in artistic and creative activities coped with the work. Drawing with geometric shapes aroused interest among the children in our group and we have already identified the next topic for drawing. But more on that in future publications.

We will be glad if someone finds our master class useful.

Thank you for your attention!
