Top 10 Christmas Craft Ideas for Kindergarteners

“Well, where are our pens?”

Let's start with the nursery group. It's hard to imagine what a baby can do, who also speaks with difficulty? And these kids will have something to do.

Draw a small palm with a pencil on colored paper or cardboard and cut it out. From such blanks you can make a large Christmas tree on the wall of the group. Each kid must be sure to glue his own palm or several. A paper Christmas tree can be decorated with cardboard toys. On paper Christmas balls, you can stick a photo of the pupils of the group.

From the palms you will also get a Christmas wreath, which can be decorated with decorative berries, ribbons. White and red blanks will make a wonderful Santa Claus or a snowman.

Is there a free wall in the band or music hall? It can be decorated with your own hands as a large New Year's composition from the palms. From the blanks you can make houses, Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden, animals and everything that is enough for imagination.

"Christmas trees rush around the city ..."

Roll the paper sheet into a cone. What happens next is all that fantasy is capable of. Quite crumbs can anoint a green cardboard Christmas tree with glue and sprinkle with sparkles and sequins.
With older kids, you can make Santa Claus. Draw a black belt on the red cone, make a beard out of cotton, draw a face.

Snowman, snowman, appeared in the yard

Kids love to sculpt snowmen and not only from snow ... Cotton wool, cotton pads, threads, plastic cups will do.
You can create a winter composition from a family of snowmen with your own hands from cotton wool, a cardboard box, glue, sparkles, ribbons, pencils and paints.

You can try making big snowmen out of plastic cups.

It is very easy and very fun to make snowmen out of thread. The technology can be viewed on the Internet.

Salt dough crafts

There is no limit to creativity here. The recipe for the dough can be easily found on the net.
Kindergarteners are invited to create a Christmas composition from candles with their own hands. To do this, knead the dough of different colors. Give the kids tubes from disposable kitchen towels. Let them roll sausages and make striped candles or completely cover the base of the candle with dough.

Older children can create real New Year's pictures from salt dough in the company of their parents or a teacher. As a basis, you can take thick cardboard in a frame or a plate.

Threads and cardboard

Prepare balls of thread of different thicknesses, cardboard, glue, paints and cookie cutters. Older children will cope with this type of New Year's crafts almost on their own. We circle the mold on cardboard with a pencil, cut out the blank. We wind the threads on cardboard, fix it with glue at the beginning and at the end. If necessary, paint the toy and decorate it with sequins, semi-beads or rhinestones.

A miracle the size of a button

Buttons of different shapes, colors and sizes are a chic material for creating New Year's crafts with children.
With the guys from the older group, they are no longer afraid to trust the needles, you can make exclusive New Year's balls as a gift to your relatives. For the toy, you will need a foam or rubber ball (any that can be pierced), a thin beautiful ribbon, a figured hole punch with small flowers. The ball is completely wrapped with tape. Cut out miniature flowers with a hole punch. Using a hairpin with a head, we fix the flower to the Christmas tree toy.
Flowers can be exchanged for colored buttons.

With very young kindergarten students, you can make simple, but very stylish postcards and give them to your relatives or send them to Santa Claus. We need three buttons, a blank for a postcard or a sheet of beautiful double-sided cardboard folded in half, acrylic paint and a thin brush or felt-tip pens, glue. The kids will make a snowman out of buttons, and an adult will help to finish the hat, carrot and hands.

"I love pasta..."

From pasta, you can cook not only a hearty dinner, but also a Christmas tree, angels, and everything that is enough for the imagination of the teacher and the kids.

Second life for broken CDs

Disks for CD players are an excellent basis for DIY Christmas compositions. Children 5-6 years old can be introduced to the elements of decoupage. This does not require special materials: a disc, a themed napkin, PVA glue and a wide brush.
You can also make Santa Claus, any animals, gnomes, a snowman, etc. from disks.

natural material

Well, what do-it-yourself New Year's crafts without natural material. Squirrels and snowmen, from cones, Santa Claus from acorns, a snowman.

fluffy pom-poms

You can also make pompoms from threads and thick paper. From the latter, you can make a fluffy Christmas tree, funny snowmen, animals.

There are a lot of recipes for small personal cakes the size of a cup on the net. You can decorate them with sugar mastic, cream. The theme of decorations, of course, is New Year's.

We continue the theme of original New Year's compositions that will help decorate your home interior on the eve of the holiday. You will find the beginning of the article.

19. Elegant decor does not always require complex manipulations. In order for the composition to turn out spectacular, sometimes it’s enough just to show imagination. See how interesting bright Christmas balls look when used instead of a fruit vase, which traditionally decorates any festive table setting. Just put plain toys on a beautiful plate and complete the composition with green twigs. You can also decorate tall candlesticks with balls by securing them with double-sided tape.

If you add toys of different colors to the composition, you will get a decor with a more dynamic character and bright design.

20. Other parts of the holiday service can also be used for New Year's decor. Arrange cones and coniferous twigs in glasses and arrange them on a cake stand, adding Christmas decorations, bleached acorns and curly gingerbread to the composition.

21. Sometimes completely unexpected things can serve as the basis for compositions. For example, wine corks. Stack them in a tall, clear candle holder for a creative decor option that will add an unexpected twist to your interior.

22. If you combine different types of needles into one composition, you can get an interesting version of New Year's decoration. Place three identical vases with green bouquets made of spruce, thuja, pine branches on a tray, and decorate the composition with a garland with flickering lights.

23. Fans of an unconventional approach to interior design will certainly appreciate this decor option. An antique sleigh decorated with vases with Christmas toys, candles and spruce branches can become a real center of attraction that attracts the attention of guests. If you are not afraid of original and bold solutions, then such an accessory will definitely come in handy.

24. Place any non-fluffy twigs in a plain white jar and attach vintage greeting cards to them with trailers - the decor in a trendy rustic style is ready.

25. To make a snow-white composition, you will need decorative snow and large candles. Tie the candles with rough twine and place them on a beautiful vase, after pouring artificial snow (or sugar) into it. Use gold-plated cones or balls as a bright accent.

26. Beautiful and unusual compositions are obtained by combining spruce branches with fresh flowers. In this design option, flowers are used to decorate flowerpots. To fix the buds you will need a glue gun. Gently glue on the rose heads to create an amazing fresh flower vase.

27. Fix cones in candlesticks instead of the usual candles (using glue or double-sided tape) to create an original New Year's composition. Cones can be in advance - then they will look more harmonious and elegant. Complete the composition with green twigs and decorative balls.

28. New Year's transformation: Flip glasses filled with marmalade and caramels to instantly transform from a familiar holiday table setting into spectacular candlesticks.

29. Fill a wide tray with fresh cranberries and place scented candles in the middle of the arrangement. To enhance the decorative effect, the berries can be sprinkled with sugar and decorated with spruce branches.

30. Put green leaves in a beautiful jar, and then carefully fill the container with water by 2/3. Add a floating candle and berries for an eco-friendly arrangement.

31. To make a mini boxwood Christmas tree, lay floral foam on the bottom of the vase and fasten sprigs of different lengths, imitating the shape of a Christmas tree. Using a glue gun, fix small decorations on the Christmas tree and complement the composition with cones and balls, laying them side by side.

32. Put the branches of grapes in a nest-shaped vase and decorate them with fresh flowers, spruce branches and a transparent candlestick set in the middle of the composition.

33. An option for New Year's decor for those who miss summer. Combine winter decorations and nautical accessories in one composition to create an unexpected design that reminds of a beach vacation.

34. Fill several transparent vases with water and add decorative sparkles. Use any green twigs as decoration.

35. Snow-covered candles are another holiday decor option that you can easily make yourself. Cover the candles with a layer of decoupage glue and roll in Epsom salts, previously scattered on a flat surface. Make sure the salt covers the candles evenly on all sides. Ready-made snow-covered decor can be used to create a variety of New Year's compositions.

36. If you have an old suitcase lying around in your pantry, then give it a new life as a basis for New Year's decor. Clean the travel bag of dust and put green apples, cones and spruce branches in it. To enhance the vintage character of the decoration, complete the composition with a winter-themed black and white photograph, securing it to the lid of the suitcase with double-sided tape.

37. A beautiful decor is obtained by folding New Year's decorations into a vase with a metallic sheen. Such a container beautifully reflects the objects laid out nearby, so complement the composition with beautiful twigs that will create the desired mirror effect.

38. Take two vases of different sizes. In one - smaller - pour water and put flowers and fir branches in it. Place the vase with the bouquet on a large plane and fill the space between the containers with walnut kernels.

39. Citrus and coniferous smells create an indescribable New Year's aroma that fills the whole house with anticipation of the holiday. Pour miniature kumquat fruits into a beautiful translucent vase and decorate the composition with a massive candle and pine needles.

40. A mix of fruits, pine needles and cones is another way to give the interior a New Year's sound. Arrange decorative elements beautifully on a tray and add simple white candles as accents.

The New Year is almost on the threshold, and to create a special aura, you can create New Year's compositions on the table. Photos and master classes with your own hands can be viewed on the Internet.

It can be small Christmas trees made of sweets, New Year's compositions on the table from dry twigs, compositions from spruce and pine cones, clusters of mountain ash. In floristic salons and souvenir shops, you can buy a ready-made New Year's composition, and it seems that only professionals can come up with such beauty. In fact, creating Christmas decorations with children, you will get very original masterpieces. You can learn how to make compositions with your own hands at master classes held in creative workshops or look on the Internet.

Material for creating desktop compositions

To create them, you need to think carefully about the design and select the appropriate materials. The basis of the composition on the table with your own hands is natural material (spruce or pine twigs, cones, dried berries, fruits, dry branches of deciduous trees), dishes (glasses, plates, baskets, trays).

From the auxiliary materials you will need:

  • glue gun;
  • twine or other rope;
  • bright wrapping paper;
  • Styrofoam;
  • floral sponge;
  • paints and brushes, etc.

Types of compositions

  • Christmas tree ikebana.

Would need:

  • beautiful wicker basket;
  • spruce twigs (twigs with cones will look beautiful);
  • floral sponge;
  • decorations (toys, tinsel, garland).

We put a sponge in the basket, stick branches into it, carefully forming them.

We try to make the sponge invisible, we mask it with artificial moss or tinsel. Decorate with a garland or toys. You can also put small gifts there. You must not forget to water the sponge, and then the impromptu Christmas tree and Christmas tree aroma will please you for a long time.

  • Christmas tree with sequins

Making a Christmas tree is easy. We take thick paper, make a bag, cut off the lower part - we get a cone. Then we apply PVA glue on it and sprinkle it with sequins, small gaps with sequins for manicure or sprinkle with glitter hairspray.

  • Christmas tree - do-it-yourself cobweb, a master class on making:

We make a cone out of paper, take golden threads of medium thickness and twine. Pour PVA glue into a bowl, moisten it abundantly in it and immediately begin to wind it around the cone in a chaotic manner. When the thread is wound, sprinkle the Christmas tree with sparkles (you can use a sprinkle for nails). Next, we take the rope (twine), paint it in gold color with a can of paint. When it dries, we lower it into the glue and begin to wind it around the cone from top to bottom, making a ring at the base.

When everything is dry, carefully separate the paper cone from the threads (on the inside of the Christmas tree).

  • Christmas tree made of wire

We take a thick (5 mm thick) copper wire and begin to form a Christmas tree in the form of a cone. Then you can decorate it with tinsel.

New Year's compositions with candles on the table look very nice.

  • Composition of candles and cones

We take a decorative candle in the form of a cone, pine cones (so that they open, hold them over the steam). We paint the cones in silver color or you can decorate them like this: lower them into a “strong” saline solution and take them out to the cold. Cones will turn out frosted with crystals. We take the base of thick cardboard and glue all the elements with a glue gun.

  • Arrangements from spruce branches and candles

Usually they are placed in low vases, on wide dishes or trays. A tall red wax candle or a gel candle in a glass is placed in the center of the composition. As an addition to the composition, you can use oranges garnished with clove seeds.

  • Glass candlesticks

Turn long-stemmed wine glasses upside down - their base will serve as an original candle stand. Under the glass itself, you can place a live flower, large beads or Christmas tree small balls.

  • Composition of candles and balls

We use a gold-colored metal tray as a base, put the fan in the center with the wide part down, place candles in candlesticks (wax and gel) around and dilute with balls in the same color scheme.

  • "Snowy" candlestick

To create this composition, you will need glasses or glasses, colored candles, sugar or salt, stationery glue.

We cover the glasses with glue, sprinkle with salt or sugar, wait until it dries, and put a candle inside.

  • floating candles

You will need: a glass goblet (glass) with water, small flat candles with a foil base, flowers, beads. We tint the water with food coloring, put a flower and beads on the bottom of the glass, pour the colored water and lower the candle on top.

  • Composition with flowers and a candle

We put a long candle in a glass candlestick on a wide plate, lay flowers around.

  • Candles can also be placed in beautiful glasses from different sets and placed on a wooden stand.
  • steps of candles

As a basis, you can take a herring. You will also need candles and Christmas balls.

To give decorativeness, we use candles of different heights or cut one long candle into several different heights, put Christmas balls in a plate and line up candles in a row, starting from the longest to the shortest (a stepped row is obtained).

  • Glass candlesticks.

The master class is easy. We buy stained glass paints (three jars are enough) and a tube of stained glass contour (to prevent mixing and spreading of paints). We apply a contour pattern in the form of square cells to the glasses. It dries for about 5 hours, then paint over them with stained glass paint. We heat the oven to a temperature of 130 degrees, bake a glass for 5-10 minutes.

  • Arrangement of cones and Christmas balls

To create it, you need spruce or pine cones (we paint them with silver or gold paint), and then we put them in tall glass vases mixed with balls.

  • Composition with figures of deer.

We take a flat dish, cover it with moss, put a small artificial Christmas tree in the center, pour acorns, you can nuts and fix the deer figurines.

Or you can take a wide vase with a long stem, pour salt (snowdrifts) into it, place cones (trees) there, fix the deer figurines and put a candle.

  • Dried flower decoration

Dried flowers look very impressive when creating New Year's compositions. You can use them without adding coniferous branches, so they will look more decorative. If in the summer you did not have time to stock up on a herbarium, you can also find dried herbs in winter (yarrow, wormwood). We dry them after the snow and paint them with gouache or spray paint, preferably in New Year's colors. We stick into the base-styrofoam or sponge. We take a basket, put the composition there and decorate the bottom with tinsel or moss.

  • Composition of coniferous twigs with snow

You can take a large vase, pour water into it and put spruce (cedar, pine) branches, decorate with artificial snow (you can sprinkle it with crushed foam or pieces of cotton wool). And around the vase put "lumps" of snow or pierce them with twigs (like snow on the branches). There are two ways to make lumps:

  • Pour PVA glue into a bowl, tear off pieces of cotton wool, dip in glue and roll balls. Let dry overnight.
  • We buy felt for felting. Pour water into a bowl, add soap (any will do). Then we tear off a piece from the layer of felt, moisten it in this water and start rolling, the stronger we press the felt with our palms, the denser the ball turns out. Gradually adding felt, you can increase it in size.

edible decorations

This type of jewelry is the most fragrant and delicious.

  • Gingerbread house, made according to the original recipe, with backlight. Biscuit recipe: honey, sugar syrup and softened butter are kneaded until smooth, then add flour, eggs, soda on the tip of a knife, spices (cinnamon, cloves, ground ginger and nutmeg, cardamom, lemon juice).

When the cakes have cooled, we cut out the details for the house from them, put the LED strip on a rectangular stand (or tray), assemble it, fill it with sour cream or cover it with white mastic. When the lights are dimmed in the room, the twinkling of the house creates a magical mood.

  • Or you can make several small houses and put them on a mirror surface (metal tray), you get a village standing on the river bank.

By preparing your New Year's table, decorating it with compositions, you create a festive mood for your near and dear people.

  • Have you ever made chakhokhbili? If not, prepare the obligatory ...

Winter is often perceived by us as a monochrome season, where everything is filled with snow-white color. But in fact, this is a time of contrasts: white snow and juicy red berries of viburnum and mountain ash, purple beautiful fruit and rich greenery of conifers.

In winter, even the aromas are thicker and more intense. All this can convey your bouquet! Combine soft, airy cotton and cones, bright roses, oranges and spruce branches.

Combine elements that are opposite in texture, color and shape in a bouquet. What would be too much in summer will enrich the bouquet and create a mood in winter.

A real work of art! How could it be otherwise? Indeed, in a winter bouquet, not only flowers are often used, but also other natural materials that correspond to the season:

  • bunches of mountain ash, beautiful fruit, viburnum
  • twigs with fruits of the snowberry, barberry, wild rose
  • birch branches
  • dry flower pods with seeds, physalis
  • cones
  • bark and graceful tree branches
  • branches of conifers (spruce, juniper, arborvitae, cypress)
  • cotton bolls
  • cinnamon sticks
  • star anise
  • dried oranges
  • fruits and nuts
  • dry herbs
  • hydrangea inflorescences and other dried flowers

Your imagination can suggest the most unexpected options for the elements and decor of the bouquet. Choose something that will not freeze, will not wither quickly, which we associate with the winter season. For example, florists advise choosing flowers of dark shades for your bouquet, they are more resistant and even if the petals suffer a little from the cold, it will not be noticeable.

Rose, chrysanthemum, calla lilies, carnation, gerbera, tulip, gypsophila, freesia, hydrangea, snowdrop, cymbidium are ideal for a winter bouquet.

Additional accessories for the bouquet can be knitted elements, ribbons, lace, cords, buttons, foil, Christmas balls, beads, organza, figurines of angels and birds.

Bright, rich, and at the same time, a winter bouquet with piano roses, ilex, orchids and cotton.

This bouquet is made up of pine branches, "snowy" fir cones, brunia, thuja branches, snowberry and eucalyptus. Small flowers, reminiscent of cherry blossoms, look tender and light in a bouquet. The handle of the bouquet is decorated with handmade lace, twine and waxed cord with wooden buttons.

Interior composition will perfectly decorate your home on snowy winter days, complement the table setting and may well replace the Christmas tree. Use the advice of florists and create your own unique decorative object. So:

The winter composition will have a beautiful shape if you arrange the flowers in it at different angles and at different levels.

Any composition has a focus - a point that attracts attention (a bright flower, a large bud, a candle, a branch of the original form). It is not necessarily located in the center, but it is around it that the whole composition is built.

Choose a container for the composition, combined with the style of the interior.

If the composition will consist of fresh flowers, use a floral sponge. It will come in handy when creating a Christmas wreath for table setting.

As the basis of the composition, you can choose foam or plasticine. Such a base is suitable for New Year's compositions, when it is necessary to fix spruce branches, balls, animal figurines, garlands, and install candles.

For single cut flowers, you can use thin narrow vessels (test tubes) that are easy to fix inside the composition.

Use branches of different lengths (vine, wicker, tree branches and roots). With their help, you can add dynamics, direction to the composition.

For a New Year's composition, a stand in the form of a saw cut tree is perfect. The composition itself is installed on such a stand not in the center, but is shifted to one of the sides.

On a light background, a composition of bright and dark flowers will look good, on a dark background - a light bouquet.

It is not necessary to buy flowers for your winter arrangement. Most houseplants are great for making this. Moreover, many of them have a flowering period in the winter. Choose:

  • poinsettia (Christmas star)
  • Schlumberger (Decembrist)
  • hippeastrum, amarylis, wallot
  • orchid
  • chlorophytum
  • cyclamen
  • azalea

Fragrant, winter composition of scarlet roses and spruce branches with cinnamon sticks and orange.
