Keratin hair straightening: in the salon and at home. Rating of the best funds

Today there is just a real boom in hair products with keratin: shampoos, conditioners, masks, leave-in products and of course keratin hair straightening. And this is not surprising, because keratin has unique properties to restore hair from the inside, but for this, the products must be of high quality and professional.

Keratin is the basis of our hair, or rather a type of protein that contains an amino acid responsible for the elasticity, smoothness and health of hair. If the body cannot independently synthesize the required amount of keratin, it is imperative to adjust your diet, include daily foods rich in animal protein, and also B vitamins (B6), and a number of microelements (silicon, magnesium, nitrogen, sulfur, selenium). All these important vitamins and microelements can be obtained from foods; they are best absorbed from foods.

And keratin straightening promises well-groomed, soft, smooth, elastic and shiny hair after just one procedure and for a long time. Well, how can a modern girl not be interested in this? After all, with our hair we emphasize our uniqueness, beauty and our daily image.

The keratin craze began about five to six years ago in Brazil, thanks to the Brazilian hair straightening technique, which used keratin as one of the main components. Therefore, sometimes keratinization is also called Brazilian hair straightening.

The essence of the keratinization or keratin straightening procedure is that keratin (liquid) penetrates deep into each hair and fills damaged areas, cracks, and under the influence of heat it acquires elasticity and becomes a protective layer for each hair to the very ends.

Stages of keratin hair straightening

Keratin hair straightening is most often done by girls with curly, unruly and porous hair, but even those who have naturally straight hair can also do this procedure, because keratin primarily restores hair, makes it more elastic and shiny, straightening comes as an addition.

If you are thinking of doing keratin hair straightening, then be sure to go to a good salon, to an experienced, qualified hairdresser, where they use high-quality raw materials. At least the first few times to learn the essence of the procedure, and then you can try it at home, but I still don’t recommend it.

The whole procedure depends entirely on the master and the quality of the keratin!

Stage 1. The master, based on the type of hair and, of course, its condition, selects the appropriate composition. It is very important to do everything in the correct dosage and then this procedure will have a healing, restorative effect on the hair (this is quite difficult to do at home). It is necessary to use the products in strict accordance with the instructions. It is precisely the strict implementation of the instructions that will allow keratin to penetrate deep into the hair structure and have the desired effect.

Stage 2. The master combs the hair and prepares it for thorough cleansing, using a special deep cleansing shampoo. The shampoo deeply cleanses the hair of various contaminants (styling products, silicones, sebum, dust and other contaminants), then it is well filled with keratin.

Stage 3. Next, the hair is slightly dried with a hairdryer and keratin is applied. It is important to carefully distribute the product over the entire length, since smoothing the hair in all areas depends on this. Be sure to ensure that the mixture does not touch the hair roots. After some time, the hair is dried with a hairdryer until it is completely dry.

Stage 4. Then the hair is divided into zones and small strands are taken and carefully straightened with an iron (for different keratins, the temperature can vary from 180-200 to 230 degrees), this is necessary in order to seal the keratin inside the hair. After the procedure, all hair scales are completely closed and fit tightly to each other, as a result the hair looks elastic, manageable, shiny and well-groomed.

The smell during the procedure is tolerable, but your eyes begin to water a little, I recommend that as soon as you feel a slight burning sensation in your eyes, just close them.

If everything is done correctly, then the result will not keep you waiting: the hair will be soft, one might even say “alive,” smooth, elastic, shiny, weighted. Keratin hair straightening has cumulative effect.

How to care for hair after keratin straightening

The effect of the procedure remains from 3 to 6 months and therefore it is very important to properly care for your hair after keratin straightening so that the result pleases you for as long as possible.

Some formulations allow you to wash your hair immediately after the procedure, and some recommend refraining from washing your hair for three days and not pinning it with hairpins or elastic bands to avoid kinks.

Choose gentle, sulfate-free care!

Shampoo. It is imperative to choose a sulfate-free shampoo, so the effect of the procedure will last much longer.

Conditioner and mask. Despite the fact that the hair looks, one might even say perfect, it still needs care as always. That is, after each wash we apply conditioner or a mask, preferably with more natural compositions.

Leave-in products. Oils, fluids, and crystals are also needed for hair for additional care and external shine.

Pros and cons of keratin hair straightening

  1. An immediate effect, that is, you get perfectly straight hair immediately after the procedure and the effect lasts from three to six months (with proper care).
  2. The hair is perfectly straight, soft, elastic and incredibly shiny... and so on for several months. And besides, during rain or humid weather, your hair still looks perfect.
  3. The hair is easy to comb and does not electrify; for those with unruly hair, this is a godsend.
  4. Keratin straightening has a cumulative effect; with each procedure, the results will last longer.
  5. Keratin straightening can be done on both colored and undyed hair. You can dye your hair immediately before the procedure, or 1-2 weeks after.
  6. After keratin straightening, you can safely style and even curl your hair; it is easy to style. Drying and styling your hair takes much less time.

This procedure also has disadvantages:

  1. The downside is that volume is removed, because porous hair looks voluminous, and after the procedure the hair looks smooth and manageable, but many note that after washing with shampoo several times, the volume returns a little.
  2. Keratin straightening is not suitable for girls with very thin hair, since after the procedure it will look even thinner.
  3. Many girls note that after the procedure, their hair needs to be washed more often than before keratin straightening.
  4. During the procedure, when keratin is sealed using an iron, the keratin composition may be a little harsh on the eyes and the smell is not pleasant.
  5. Some manufacturers use formaldehyde in straightening compositions, which is considered a carcinogen and can be dangerous; its proportion should not exceed 0.2%. Therefore, choose your keratin brand very carefully. Formaldehyde is used in cheaper products, mostly produced in Brazil. Formaldehyde is a chemical that, when exposed to hair for long periods of time, can have a detrimental effect on hair and the general health of the body.

Keratin straightening is suitable for:

  • if the hair splits not only at the ends, but also along the length of the hair, it looks dull, lifeless and brittle;
  • if you have curly or curly hair and want to have perfectly straight hair;
  • if your hair becomes frizzy and reacts sharply to humid weather;
  • if you are tired of styling your hair with a hairdryer and straightener every day.

Contraindications to the procedure:

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • damage to the scalp (wounds) or too sensitive scalp;
  • scalp diseases;
  • hair loss (any type of alopecia).

The key to high-quality keratin hair straightening: you need to find a qualified, experienced master who works with high-quality keratin, a proven brand and will not spare the composition, but will apply a sufficient amount. A professional iron that seals the keratin, rather than stroking it through the hair, and all the keratin will be washed off after several hair washes and, of course, special care after the procedure.

Hair care takes a lot of time for every woman, because everyone wants to be irresistible; recently, modern hairdressing techniques help to get your hair in order quite quickly. It is worth noting a popular salon procedure - keratin hair straightening, which gives damaged curls a second life, filling them with strength and natural shine.

Keratin hair straightening is carried out in a hairdressing salon, since to achieve the desired effect, the drugs used must be used in the correct dosage and sequence. A competently performed procedure has a restorative effect on the hair, so it can be called therapeutic.

Compared to other methods of restoring damaged strands, keratization does not change the structure of the hair. The meaning of the procedure is that keratin in a liquid state penetrates into the middle of each hair, filling voids and cracks, and under the influence of heat it acquires elasticity and becomes a protective layer.

Important advice from the editors!

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 97% of shampoos from well-known brands contain substances that poison our body. The main components due to which all the troubles on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain these substances. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

Kerating has numerous advantages:

  • keratin hair straightening products do not contain chemical components, so they do not have a negative effect on hair curls and human health;
  • liquid keratin does not weigh down the hair, so the hairstyle looks natural after the procedure;
  • keratin hair straightening does not interfere with curling your hair, so you can safely use a curling iron or curlers, and after washing your hair, your curls will become perfectly smooth again;
  • the use of natural ingredients allows the hair to “breathe”, so it becomes dirty more slowly and retains its volume longer;
  • immediately after keratinization, you can visit the sauna, swim in ponds and carry out any manipulations with your hair;
  • the straightening process with keratin can be carried out along with coloring or highlighting;
  • If necessary, you can repeat the straightening procedure, for example, once again processing only the ends of the curls.

The downside of keratinization is the high cost of the procedure, but this price is quite justified, since the drug itself is not cheap, and the process involves long-term complex hair treatment. Another disadvantage of this method of straightening is the labor-intensive process, which makes it difficult to carry out at home, although modern means provide the opportunity to try to do “mini-creation” with your own hands.

The process of keratin hair straightening takes a lot of time, but the result is worth it.
Usually the procedure is carried out according to one algorithm:

  • First, the master prepares the hair for treatment by combing it with a wide-tooth comb. This is followed by washing your hair with a special keratin shampoo; the specialist will carefully massage each strand so that the product penetrates as deeply as possible into the hair structure;
  • Having removed excess moisture after washing, the hair is combed again and left for a few minutes to dry naturally;
  • A straightening product is applied to damp curls; the process will take about half an hour, since the second keratin product is also applied very carefully, every hair is coated;
  • Treated hair should be thoroughly dried with a hairdryer and then ironed with a styler (optimal temperature 230 degrees). This is necessary in order to seal the keratin in the middle of the hair and smooth all the scales of its outer surface;
  • All that remains is to wash your hair to remove any remaining unabsorbed keratin and dry it again. Now you don’t have to use a straightening iron, since the curls will take the necessary shape themselves; you don’t even have to use a hairdryer if the weather allows you to dry your hair naturally.

As you can see, keratin hair straightening requires a lot of time, but the results will last for quite a long time (changes in the structure of curls usually begin to appear only 4-6 months after keratization). Most often, inconvenience is caused by growing hair roots; this situation can be corrected by repeating the procedure, and it is enough to treat only the regrown areas.

With the advent of modern cosmetic preparations for hair, carrying out any hairdressing procedures with your own hands is not particularly difficult. Having purchased the necessary preparations, you can easily carry out keratin hair straightening at home.

The procedure will be similar to the salon process, so keep in mind that some aspects are not very convenient to do on your own, for example, straighten your hair from the back. For the first time, ask someone at home to help you.

  1. So, first, wash your hair with the shampoo included in the keratinization kit. Usually this is a deep cleaning product, which allows you to remove excess dirt from the surface of the hair and thoroughly wipe all the cracks and open scales.
  2. After drying your hair with a soft towel, you can apply the keratin treatment. For ease of application, use a thin comb and take small strands (about 1-2 cm). It is important to carefully distribute the product over the entire length, since the smoothing of a particular area depends on this.
  3. Having completed the processing of the strands, you can begin drying. First, use a hair dryer, it is better to dry your curls on medium power, it will take a little longer, but you will give the keratin the opportunity to absorb into each hair as best as possible. After drying with a hairdryer, the strands should be treated with a styler; treat this procedure very carefully, since the appearance of the hair for the next 4-5 months depends on the quality of smoothing this time. To smooth the hair on the back of your head, it is better to hire an assistant; this will save a lot of your time and effort.

When straightening your hair at home, you won't be able to achieve great results the first time, but you will still see a significant change in your hairstyle. In order for the straightening effect to remain as long as possible, high-quality hair care is no less important. Use keratin shampoos and similar balms after washing, as well as sprays and serums to maintain the beauty of the ends of your strands.

Hello dear readers!

This time I want to tell you about the keratin hair straightening procedure: what it is, how much it costs, is it possible to do it yourself, and of course I will share my experience and impressions of the keratinization procedure!!

If you know what this is, then you don’t have to read the next paragraph.

What is keratin hair straightening?

A short summary of the history of keratin straightening, and an explanation of what this procedure is and what its meaning is:

Story

Every year more and more products and procedures appear that reduce all previous hair treatment methods to nothing. Thus, at the beginning of the 21st century, it was in Brazil that new drugs appeared that could straighten even the curliest and coarst hair, without causing harm to its structure and health, but on the contrary, giving the hair health and shine. They were called Keratin Treatment and were originally intended for hair treatment. The appearance of such products caused a revolution in the field of treatment and hair care, because... Previous hair treatment options did not produce such clear results. The originally produced keratin treatment composition contained a large amount of low-grade plant keratin, as well as formaldehyde (an aqueous-alcohol solution) in an amount of 9-15%. This amount of formaldehyde made it possible to maintain the effect of keratin straightening for a period of 6 months to 1 year. The original composition caused inconvenience during the procedure - it was smoke and an unpleasant odor accompanying the procedure. But this mixture provided an unsurpassed, amazing result. Interested in such results, scientists in the USA, Great Britain and Israel began to develop the technology of keratin treatment and over time developed a new generation of products, where they reduced the content of formaldehyde in them to 2% allowed by the Ministry of Health, and then completely, replacing the component with safe substances, they created products not containing it at all. Also, new products began to be enriched with natural hydrolyzed keratin, made from high-quality sheep wool, natural oils and plant extracts.

About the procedure

So, this procedure restores keratin in the hair structure - a substance responsible for strength and beauty, which was lost for a variety of reasons, but, basically, hair deteriorates under the influence of various types of physical influences on it. The structure of damaged hair is porous, with open scales. I’ll explain it more clearly: hair, like a fish, has small scales that are visible only under a microscope; they open and puff up if the hair is damaged, so such hair gets wet faster, gets dirty faster, absorbs dye faster, but without causing more harm to it. All this happens because water or paint molecules get inside faster through open scales. The task of the restoration procedure is to nourish the hair with useful components at the cellular level, fill the voids in the hair with useful elements and proteins, and close the scales, then the beauty of your hair will return, the hair will become glossy, soft and very attractive.

Is it possible to do keratin straightening on your own?

This procedure appeared as a salon procedure, but recently many people have been performing this procedure on their own. The algorithm is not at all complicated, everyone can do it themselves, having the necessary equipment, you can take a friend or mother to help. This will also help you save a tidy sum!

The cost of a procedure in the salon for an average length is approximately 5000-6000 rubles! If you carry out the procedure at home, the cost of one procedure will be 700-1000. Not a bad saving, would you agree? Unless you have to make an effort yourself, for some it’s easier to give money at the salon and sit and wait for the result. It's only your choice!

Where to buy keratin?

The most important thing we need for the procedure is the keratin itself! You won’t be able to buy it in a regular cosmetics store; to do this, you can go looking for it in professional stores. cosmetics, and it’s not a fact that you can find what you need.

I am very good friends with online stores, and therefore the question of where to buy keratin was resolved by itself. Of course, order online!

Keratin can be bought on many sites, but on most of them keratin is sold in large bottles, 1 liter, and the price per bottle is about 7,000 rubles. I have absolutely no need for such a bottle. But on one site I still managed to find “mini” sets. Here is the link mega-keratin

I ordered American-made keratin EVOQUE. It does not contain formaldehyde (as the manufacturer claims).

Price for a set 1400 rubles

The set includes: 100 ml Deep Cleansing Shampoo and 100 ml Keratin

I was very pleased with the service of this online store, everything was very prompt and of high quality, I recommend it.

Necessary equipment

Here's what you need for keratin straightening at home:

I think every girl has everything she needs at home, all that’s left is to buy keratin!

My hair story

I decided to do keratin straightening, not so much because of the straightening effect, but to restore my hair.

For the past 3 years I have been constantly dyeing my hair. During this time I very gradually went from coppery red to black. And now it’s been black for almost a year! I, like any girl, constantly want to change, and three months ago, it occurred to me to dye my hair blonde, I’m surprised that such an idea could have occurred to me! And, naturally, without thinking twice, I ran for paint!

Oh, it hurts to remember what happened to my head then! But I didn’t like the result so much that I had to dye my hair back into a burning brunette that same day!

Now try to imagine the structure of my hair after all this abuse! They became very dry, brittle, lifeless, in a word, a broom instead of hair. Not a single balm saved! I had to cut off 15 centimeters of length in order to comb my hair more or less normally, and not tear off dry ends.

My hair just needed some rehabilitation! Keratinization was called to the rescue!

So, let's move on to the procedure itself.

Progress

  1. In the package with the kit they sent me instructions, I acted strictly according to them

  2. First, I washed my hair with deep cleansing shampoo, lathering and rinsing several times.
  3. Blow dry your hair 100% (it is very important to dry your hair well)

  4. Then my mother helped me, she put on a mask, poured keratin into a cup, 50 ml of keratin was needed for my length. EVOQUE keratin does not have a strong chemical smell. Some girls wrote that some keratins cause lacrimation, nausea, AND EVEN VOMITING! Nothing like this was observed with this keratin; keratin smells pleasant of coconut.
  5. We began to apply keratin from the back of the head, retreating a few centimeters from the roots of the hair. Keratin should not be applied in excess, otherwise it will be difficult to dry your hair. When applying, pay special attention to dry ends.
  6. After applying the composition, it should be left on the hair for 20 minutes.
  7. After the required exposure, you need to thoroughly dry your hair with a COLD HAIRDRYER (precisely cold, if you dry it hot, the keratin will “harden” ahead of time). It took a long time to dry it with a cold hairdryer, about half an hour for sure, the hair was covered in an unpleasant, sticky coating to the touch.
  8. This is the most important step, Straightening. Use an iron heated to 210 degrees to straighten your hair.

    We also started from the back of the head, using small strands, no more than 1 cm wide. Pass the iron over each strand 7-10 times. This is what my hair looked like right after straightening:

    After the hair was straightened, it became clear that the hair cut line was “torn”. Mom trimmed my ends. Salons also advise polishing your hair immediately after keratin straightening. This can also be done at home if you purchase a special attachment for a hair clipper; it can be purchased in the online store that sells keratin. Hair after trimming:

  9. Now, after your hair is straightened and cut, you need to thoroughly rinse your hair with water (without using shampoo), and apply a nourishing balm or mask for 10 minutes, and rinse again with water. (I used this balm)
  10. And you can style your hair as usual!
  11. My impressions

    After my hair was straightened, I couldn't believe it was my hair! I have never seen them so soft and obedient! I was even scared to go wash off the keratin; I didn’t believe that when I dried my hair again it would still be as beautiful. But to my great surprise and joy, after drying my hair with a hairdryer, my hair remained straight, smooth, manageable and lays hair to hair! My joy knows no bounds!!!

    Here is a photo of the hair after washing:

    Except that the hair volume has become smaller, but for the sake of hair health, this can be tolerated!

    To summarize, I want to say that the keratin straightening procedure at home will cost you:

  • 700 rubles (1 set costs 1400, enough for 2 times)
  • 3 hours of your personal time
  • And it will bring a lot of joy to you and health to your hair!!!

Here's a comparison of before and after photos in one collage:

I wonder how long this effect will last, I will definitely update the review over time.

Update: One month after the procedure

So, a little more than a month has passed since the procedure, and during all this time I have never remembered what a flat iron is! After each wash, the hair remained smooth and even, just comb it after washing.

Hair after keratin straightening does not need special care, the most important thing is to use sulfate-free shampoo (if you use regular shampoo, the effect will quickly go away), but you can use any hair balm.

I use shampoo from Natura Siberica, it does not contain sulfates, consists of natural ingredients, and is easy to find in stores.

While washing I apply shampoo only to the roots of my hair and scalp, and not along the entire length (so as not to wash out the keratin), foam flows down the length and ends and this is enough to make the hair look clean. It also turns out to save shampoo!

A month later, the straightening effect was no longer the same as initially, but it was still very well preserved. The length of the hair remained straight, but the grown bangs began to curl, she always strives for this state. And most importantly, my hair is easy to comb; this is very important for my once dry and brittle hair.

I’m happy with the effect so far, and I think I’ll repeat the procedure again in the future.

Thank you all so much for your attention! I really hope that my review was useful to you!

Girls tend to constantly try to improve their appearance, and in search of a way to do this for the long term, they often turn to a procedure such as keratin hair straightening. In fact, keratin is an excellent way to keep your hair straight for a long time, without requiring much effort in styling, and at the same time looking great. In addition, such long-term styling has many rave reviews, but for some reason little is said about the disadvantages. So are there any contraindications for the keratin straightening procedure, and if so, what are they?

Our hair itself consists almost entirely of keratin, or fibrillar, protein. It forms the basis for nails, skin and hair. Therefore, while keratin straightening is being done, the strands seem to be filled with the substance they need - the gaps in their structure that could be caused by frequent use of heat styling, negative influences of the external environment and other mechanical damage are “healed”. Keratin restores and seals hair, due to which it regains a healthy, well-groomed, attractive appearance. “Fluffiness” and porosity disappear.

To put it simply, keratin can be called “liquid hair” - it restores curls, giving them back what they lost.

How does the straightening procedure work?

To understand what possible disadvantages this long-term installation may have, you need to know how the process occurs. As mentioned above, a keratin composition is applied to the head. However, before this there are also other steps:

  • First of all, the strands undergo deep cleaning - with the help of special products, dust, dirt, grease, and remnants of styling products are removed from them. This way the curls become more susceptible to keratin - their pores are not clogged with anything.
  • After this, the composition itself is applied, which contains the whole essence of the process, and the one that is suitable specifically for your type of hair. It is applied to the entire length of the curls, starting from the scalp.
  • After this, the hair is dried and processed using heat styling - the master works with an iron, the keratin melts, “soldering” all the imperfections and holes, penetrating deeply into the hair structure and remaining in it for a long time.
  • As a result, the hair becomes smooth, even, and shiny in appearance.

Contraindications

So what are the disadvantages of keratin straightening, and who is definitely not recommended to do it? There are several main disadvantages of the procedure, the main one is the mandatory presence of a product such as formaldehyde in the straightening composition.

  • What is formaldehyde

One of the main active ingredients of the drug is formaldehyde, whose vapors released during the procedure during ironing are hazardous to health. It is necessarily contained in all compositions for keratin hair straightening - even those products whose label says “formaldehyde free” (“does not contain formaldehyde”) nevertheless contain some part of it, otherwise the composition simply will not provide that lamination effect, which is usually considered the result of a procedure such as keratin hair straightening.

The toxic fumes of this substance are dangerous both for those doing long-term styling and for professionals, especially for the latter - they work with straightening products constantly.

Formaldehyde is capable of:

  • negatively affect vision and the central nervous system;
  • cause headaches;
  • tearing due to irritation of the mucous membrane of the eyes due to vapor.

For this reason, keratin hair straightening is strictly contraindicated. Likewise, it is not recommended for people with precancerous conditions.

The long-term installation procedure must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, otherwise the likelihood of formaldehyde vapor poisoning increases.

“Formaldehyde-free” formulations, for example, those used in Brazilian keratin hair straightening (where they are replaced with Brazilian plants, which is why the procedure is called that), usually cost higher than formulations where formaldehyde is openly present.

Other cases when straightening should not be done

There are things that in themselves may not be so dangerous to health if you do keratin straightening, but, nevertheless, have a very unpleasant effect:

  • thinness, weakness of hair

Girls whose hair itself is not healthy (thin, dry, weak) often get the effect that the condition of the hair after a keratin procedure worsens, although in fact it should be therapeutic. The fact is that hair impregnated with a keratin composition itself becomes heavier, causing the follicles to suffer and, as a result, the hair becomes even weaker than it was before, and may even begin to fall out.

For those who have hair loss, straightening is contraindicated.

Also, with keratin straightening, hair loses volume. For those with a full head of hair, who, on the contrary, want their hair to become smoother (stop frizz, etc.), the effect of keratin straightening will last less, and the hair will return to its original state faster;

Other contraindications - if the scalp is damaged (tiny scratches, wounds, etc.), keratin straightening cannot be done. If you have scalp diseases, it is even more necessary to consult a dermatologist before performing the procedure. In addition, there may be individual allergic reactions to the components of the keratin composition.

Also, hair after long-term styling requires constant attention and special care products, such as sulfate-free shampoos. Curls can quickly begin to become dirty and look greasy and greasy. This happens because due to loss of volume, they become covered with sebum faster.

Other things that are not contraindications in themselves, but may be a reason to refuse the effect that keratin straightening gives:

  • after this long-term styling, you can’t wear makeup for some time (at least ten days); in more detail, when can you dye your hair after keratin straightening;
  • you can’t go to a sauna, swimming pool, bathhouse - humid and also hot air will destroy the keratin coating, in the same way it makes no sense to do such long-term styling before going to the sea;
  • the ends of the hair may begin to split, which can gradually ruin the entire structure, provided that the hair needs to be grown;
  • The difficulty of the procedure is to spend from 3 to 5 hours in the master’s chair, you cannot wash your hair for three days, use hairpins, clips, or braid your hair.

  • Summing up

Although hair straightening with keratin is an excellent alternative to constantly using a straightening iron, if you are interested in hair straightening, approach the matter seriously, weighing all the pros and cons and not going to extremes - there are a lot of both overly enthusiastic and sharply negative reviews on the Internet, but the truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle. Other processing and straightening methods can also hardly be called safe, so it’s up to you to decide.
