Knitting a sweater with a round yoke for a child

Author: Natalia Grukhina
Knitting a sweater with a round yoke for a child (size 86-92 for ages 1.5-3 years)
When I first saw this sweater on the cover of the magazine "Til fjells 0611", I simply fell in love with it and the very next day I rushed to buy the magazine.
Unfortunately, they didn’t sell it to me, because... I would have to buy thread along with the magazine.
I had to draw up a diagram of the drawing myself based on this photograph, which is not of the best quality. This is what I ended up with:

This sweater is knitted from top to bottom (neck to rib) and has no seams. This method of knitting is convenient because, if necessary, the product can be easily tied by unraveling only rows of elastic, and not the entire product.

Thanks to the interesting jacquard pattern and round yoke, an integral element of Norwegian sweaters, as well as the red and white color scheme, this sweater looks very relevant in the winter, especially during the Christmas holidays.
Advice: Before starting knitting, I recommend reading tips on knitting items with a round yoke.
To knit a sweater with a round yoke, we will need:
- 200 gr. red yarn (100% wool, 50 g = approx. 100 m) Gjestal Superwash, color 204;
- 50 gr. white yarn (100% acrylic, 50 g = approx. 133 m) Schachenmayr Nomotta Idena Plus, color 8253;
- circular knitting needles No. 3 and 4 (preferably 2 pairs);
- stocking needles No. 3 and 4.
