Beautiful snowflakes with your own hands step by step. Beautiful snowflakes from paper - diagrams and templates for cutting out snowflakes with your own hands

Time passes... It brings us closer to the December days and, of course, to the main holiday - the New Year. I continue the theme of decorating the house for this significant date. And again we will talk about snowflakes.

These are not, but the simple ones that we used to decorate our house for the holiday since childhood. In my opinion, snowflakes can cut everything out. If only I had some suitable paper and scissors. And, of course, fantasy. What are they used to create this beauty from? They use napkins, colored and white paper, foil, glossy magazines... You can’t list everything.

All family members participate in this simple task. After all, you need a lot of snowflakes. And stick it on windows, and on cabinets with doors, and even hang it on strings or rain from a chandelier and the ceiling. It is noteworthy that although there are many figures, they are all different. In all this heap of paper, there are no two identical snowflakes. They will differ in size, shape, and pattern.

It’s like you’re cutting it out according to a template, but you still add something of your own—here you cut out a triangle, and here you sharpen the edges. And each figure is beautiful and unique.

Well, arm yourself with scissors, take paper. You and I will carve these delicate and tender decorations.

I remember my childhood... I was about five years old. My mother and I were diligently preparing for the New Year. And they cut out decorations for windows and a Christmas tree from album sheets. At that time the sheets were dense. It was a little difficult to cut out graceful snowflakes from them.

I was given a simpler task - to make this square-shaped decoration. This is easier, because you only had to fold the square two or three times. It didn't take much effort to cut out arcs, stripes, and triangles. The more cuts you make, the more beautiful and delicate the snowflake.

We glued them to the windows, unfolding the square so that it resembled a rhombus. This way the figure looked more advantageous.

Here are options for square snowflakes. To cut them out, it is better to take white or colored sheets of office paper. Cut out a square from paper. If it is large, then the decoration will be larger in size. The smaller, the snowflake will be small. Fold the square according to the diagram. You can repeat the same drawing. And cut it out.

And here are some templates for folding a square sheet twice.

Transfer the pattern to the folded triangle. Now cut off the areas that are shaded. Unfold. And the first snowflake is ready.

Repeat all previous steps. And then your second square-shaped snowflake appeared.

Add more arc cutouts, add triangles somewhere. Cut out the third decoration.

The more cuts you make, the more delicate the figure will be. Add something of your own. And the fourth snowflake will be better than in the picture.

Now fold a sheet of paper three times. I suggest using the diagram. Another fold makes the snowflake lacy and graceful.

And here are several options for snowflake patterns that are obtained using this method of folding paper.

Transfer the design to a triangle folded three times. Cut it out. The patterned decoration can be glued to the window.

Snowflakes are good because you can make deep cuts or very tiny ones. The holes can be of various shapes. Sometimes you make a bunch of different patterns and wonder what will happen. The result will always be amazing.

We practiced using simple templates. Now let’s cut out more complex square snowflakes. Use the options provided.

So we have mastered the technique of cutting out square snowflakes. Now you can safely come up with your own schemes. Apply arcs, semicircles, rectangles, small and large triangles to the folded triangle. Imagine! And you will get a decoration that no one else has. This will be the one and only snowflake.

Teach this to your children. They will cope perfectly with such a simple task. And using scissors together is more fun!

Snowflake stencils for cutting out paper for windows 2019

Windows are the main objects in the house that we decorate for the New Year holiday. Strewn with snowflakes, images and characters, they create a stage effect that attracts the eye. Both in the apartment and from the street. And decorating them is a pleasure. You begin to feel like a designer or an artist, a miracle worker.

What to do when you can’t come up with a pattern and cut out snowflakes yourself? There is always a way out. To do this, there are many stencils and templates that you just need to print on a printer.

What is the difference between a stencil and a template?

A stencil is a sheet of paper with a design cut out inside it. By placing a sheet on the surface, you can apply many similar patterns. Since we are talking about snowflakes, they can be applied through a stencil with a sponge dipped in diluted toothpaste or gouache.

A template is a ready-made drawing cut out of paper, which is either immediately glued, as in the case of snowflakes on a window, or it can be traced many times if you need to make a large number of identical pictures. In the latter case, it is better to make the template from thick paper or cardboard.

If you don't have a printer, that's no problem either. A sheet of paper can be attached to the monitor.

A bright screen will create a translucent effect, and the drawing can be transferred to paper using any felt-tip pen. I do not recommend using a pencil or pen. They are sharp and can damage the screen.

I have prepared a selection of stencils and templates for you. There are more than 60 pieces in the collection. With their help, you will quickly cope with decorating windows for the New Year. View all images. Select the ones you like. When printing, decide on the size of the decoration. Print it out.

Printed or translated stencils must be carefully cut out with scissors.

Some people use sharp nail scissors when cutting out small internal parts, some use craft scissors, some use special knives.

In this kind of work, I pick up handmade “herons”. They have pointed ends and cut well.

When cutting, try to use scissors to remove the black outline of the template and the stencil fill of the same color. So that the products are obtained without a dark outline.

Now the finished snowflakes can be glued to the window. Of course, I want to do this more carefully, so that after the holiday you don’t have to scrub away stubborn stains for a long time.

To glue light piercings, you can use milk, soap solution, toothpaste, or liquid paste.

In our house, snowflakes are held on by soapy water. They are made from office printing paper. This paper is quite durable. We moisten a bar of soap with water and soap the figure on one side. Apply the wet part to the glass. And the snowflake doesn't fall. How do you attach decorations? Write in the comments.

Snowflakes-ballerinas made of paper (templates can be printed)

How graceful and fragile the ballerinas are... They seem incredibly fabulous, fantastic to us, like fluttering fairies. Their dance is truly magical and enchanting. It fascinates and fills you with spirituality and a sense of miracle.

Fill your home with these feelings by decorating it with delicate ballerinas in lacy snowflake skirts.

These crafts are reminiscent of. This effect is created by a carved skirt on the fragile figure of a dancer. Replenish your set of New Year's decorations with beautiful, gentle and quivering fairy ballerinas.

Making them is not difficult. Download the templates to your computer. There is a large selection of dancer figures. There are thirty of them in total. Find the ones you like best.

Select the contours of the dancers you like. Print sheets with them on a printer or transfer them from the monitor by attaching a sheet of paper to it.

Carefully cut out the shapes with scissors. Nail or craft scissors are suitable for holes. They have sharp ends. And they are convenient for cutting patterned reliefs.

Now choose the most beautiful snowflakes from the ready-made ones already available. Or make new ones. Fold the square sheet according to the pattern. Cut off any protruding corners.

I made three snowflakes. I drew a pattern with a pencil. Removed unnecessary things. Here's what I got.

Cut a hole in the center, the diameter of which should correspond to the width of the paper doll's waist.

There are several options for wearing a skirt on a ballerina. You can carefully bend it along the length and insert the figure into the snowflake. You can also make a small cut from the center cutout. Then it is easier to put the doll into clothes. Or you can cut the snowflake in one place from the bottom edge to the very center, and then glue the cut.

Glue the skirt to the doll's waist on one side and the other with literally one drop of glue. Straighten it out to make it look fuller.

Tie a string to the ballerina's arm or waist. Now you can hang it on the Christmas tree.

If you make the thread longer, then first put one or two snowflakes on it, and then tie the figurine. Make several of these garlands and hang them at different heights. It will look great.

Ballerinas will spin with any movement, creating the feeling of falling snow. That's very beautiful!

And I want to make a gift for the kids. Colored cute ballerina girls especially for them. Once upon a time they were drawn by artist Elena Zapesochnaya for the magazine “Funny Pictures”.

Help the kids with crafts. Such playful little girls will look great on the Christmas tree.

Video on how to make a snowflake with your own hands - easy and simple

When you look at beautiful lace snowflakes on the Internet that are created by the skillful hands of craftswomen, you involuntarily wonder how to achieve the same result. Doing this kind of work seems super difficult. In fact, everything is much simpler than we think. Openwork beauty is made up of repeated repetition of the same pattern. Zigzags and wavy squiggles make the figure irresistible. Watch in the video how easy it is to create such a charming decoration.

Let's repeat all the steps of the wizard. In the right places we stop the roller and fold, draw, cut. As you can see, I repeated step by step everything that happened on the screen.

Hooray! Happened! We were able to make the same beautiful snowflake. So we did it.

How to cut beautiful snowflakes for the New Year (step-by-step patterns for beginners)

The main fans of creating beautiful New Year's decorations are, of course, children. Especially the girls. But the boys are not far behind.

My seven-year-old grandson watched me work on this article for a long time. He saw how I cut out snowflakes and was amazed at how gradually a sheet of paper with the help of scissors turns into something patterned and carved. First he asked how I did it, and then he also took the scissors.

For now he is making them according to patterns, but I think soon he will have special, boyish snowflakes: the faces of animatronics, transformers, or some other modern cartoon characters will be cut out inside them.

But for starters, the diagrams were very useful. There is no need to invent something. You repeat the steps, transfer the pattern to the folded figure and use scissors. It's quite simple.

Let's make another batch of snowflakes using them. The method of folding paper when making these products is different.

When creating the first snowflakes, we fold a sheet of paper into triangles three times. First, bend the square diagonally. We fold the resulting figure three more times until we get a figure that resembles an arrow. We apply a pattern on one side, and then cut out the shaded parts. And it turns out to be a snowflake.

The next craft is made according to the same pattern. Only the pattern is different. Redraw it onto the blank (it is simple) and remove the parts with shading. The second product is ready.

And another snowflake, made according to the same scenario. Fold a sheet of paper several times. Copy the pattern. It's a little more complicated. But it's not scary! And cut it out. You will get such a beautiful snowball.

Folding a sheet of paper in the next two options differs from the previous ones. First, fold it twice into triangles. And then you need to roll up the little bag. We transfer the ornament. We cut off unnecessary things. And now the decoration is ready.

The fifth snowflake folds in the same way. Let's redraw the pattern. Carefully cut out the multilayer part. We unfold it, smoothing out the rays of the product. And here we have another copy.

Using the same scheme, we will make another version of a beautiful decoration. Fold a sheet of paper step by step. Let's redraw the ornament. Let's cut it along the lines. Now we unfold the figure. And here we have another snowflake.

Now let's move on to another group of decorations. Fold the square sheet in half. And then we bend the two ends of the triangle obliquely. And we transfer the drawing. This cutting method is very suitable for children. There aren't many layers here. Therefore, you do not need to put a lot of effort when cutting. Children's hands can easily cope with this task.

Let's create the first snowflake. Let's fold the sheet according to the diagram. Draw a pattern with a pencil or felt-tip pen. We take scissors and remove all the shaded parts. Carefully unfold the paper. And now the snowflake is ready.

Let's add a small Christmas tree to the next pattern. Let's cut out the outline. And the craft will look completely different.

Well, one Christmas tree is probably not enough. Let's draw two Christmas trees in the pattern. Let's add some squiggles and lines. And cut along the contour. We open the folded figure. And a small forest appeared in the outline of a snowflake.

We practiced cutting according to patterns. Three ways to fold paper, different details in the patterns - and the crafts look different.

View and download the file. Here you will find even more schemes and patterns for snowflakes.

Cutting out snowflakes is one of the directions of the ancient Chinese art of cutting out patterns from paper in general.

This skill became widespread after the 13th century, when paper became available not only to rich people.

And after the 17th century, the art of carving came to Europe.

Paper patterns were created in different shapes and subjects.

Stars or snowflakes, images of animals and plants were cut out.

Such cuttings were used to decorate windows, walls, and furniture.

Various new peoples introduced the specifics of their traditions into this art.

It is quite possible that the tradition of cutting out snowflakes from paper appeared in our country.

Russia is a northern country.

Our winters are snowy and long, so the beauty of frosty patterns could not help but be reflected in the creativity of folk craftsmen.

Do-it-yourself volumetric snowflakes (3D) for the New Year made of paper - step by step

How to make voluminous paper snowflakes for the New Year? With diagrams, stencils, templates, detailed descriptions - it's very easy and fast. There are many, many, many options. Let's look at some of them - step by step, using diagrams, photos, videos, because it would seem that this simple process may seem difficult for some, especially for children..

Volumetric snow beauties look very impressive and perfectly convey the fabulous winter atmosphere.

Volumetric snowflake star

We will make a snowflake according to the diagram. We fold the piece of paper diagonally and make three slits on the fold side. Connect the two shortest ends. We unfold the workpiece with the wrong side. Glue the ends of the two middle strips together. We unfold the workpiece again and continue until all the ends are glued together. You will get 6 blanks.

We glue all the blanks with the base to each other.

If you find it difficult to make this snowflake, you can watch the video and everything will become clear:

Carved volumetric snowflake

This snowflake turns out soft and fluffy, and kids really like it.

To make it, we use a sheet of double-sided colored paper, cut it to make a square, and fold it diagonally. Then we fold it three more times to make triangles.

There should be three sides and a common fold side.

We wrap the long end inward and cut off the resulting triangle.

We make straight, long cuts.

Carefully unfold the workpiece so that the fringe does not tear.

To make the snowflakes voluminous, we make several of the same blanks (two or three) of a smaller size, connecting them in the center. Our voluminous beauty is ready!

If you find the production difficult, we can go through the whole process step by step using a video:

Snowflake using quilling technique

The voluminous snowflakes that we make using the quilling technique (the art of paper rolling) turn out very beautiful and festive. They can be made from newspapers, or from plain paper.

Prepare paper strips:

  • 8 pcs size 25*2 cm,
  • 16 pcs size 21*2cm
  • 16 pcs size 19*2 cm

But you can take other sizes, then the snowflake will turn out larger or smaller.

Glue the ends of each strip together.

We form blanks.

We cut out a strip of paper 2 cm wide, wrap it, for example, on nail polish :)) glue the ends and create the center of the snowflake.

Newspaper is thinner than paper, so you need to make strips in several layers to add thickness.

We combine everything into one product.

Creating a three-dimensional snowflake can be seen step by step using this video:

Multi-colored volumetric snowflake

We cut strips of two colors - 5 long, 10 medium, 10 short, as in the photo.

Connecting: glue the ends of the long strip, then glue the middle strips to its ends on the sides.

Then comes the turn of short stripes. It turns out to be such a preparation.

Use a stapler or glue to connect the pieces in the middle. Glue a circle of paper into the center and decorate with any pattern.

It turns out a voluminous snow beauty!

Volumetric snowflake - ray

We will need: 2 sheets (square) of paper of any color, for example blue, glue, pencil, decoration - maybe rhinestones.

1. Cut the paper to make a square. Fold it diagonally.

2. Fold it two more times.

3. We draw three lines along which the cuts will go, but not all the way to the fold, since this will be the center of the snowflake.

4. Cut along the lines. We will make triangular slits at the bottom.

5. Unfold the workpiece.

6. Bend and glue the middle stripes of each ray in the center.

7. We make the second snowflake in the same way.

8. Glue the blanks together so that the rays are staggered. We carefully glue the center and decorate it with rhinestones.

Volumetric accordion snowflake

1. Take a sheet of paper and fold it in half.

3. Let's designate the center.

4. Draw three or four triangles on each side, round the edges and cut them out.

5. Repeat the same with another sheet.

6. We connect two accordions together.

7. Straighten the snowflake, forming a circle.

8. Glue the four parts together.

Prefabricated volumetric snowflake

You can use ready-made templates. We take several stencils, stitch them, glue them or staple them.

The snowflake is ready!

We make paper circles with drawn faces, 2 pieces per snowflake. We will also need strips of paper of different lengths of 3 types: long, medium and short. The size of the workpiece itself depends on the length of these strips. The longer we cut out the strips, the larger our craft will look.

We glue each strip of paper at the ends, obtaining blanks.

We collect these blanks into snowflake rays. Long stripe in the middle, medium and small on the sides.

Then we glue them with paper circles, placing the rays between them.

Ready! We've got a fun festive snowflake!

Snowflakes-snowmen

To make a beautiful snowflake out of paper, you should stock up on ready-made templates in advance to create a pattern. Of course, you can cut paper without using special patterns, but this method is only suitable for those who already have some experience and artistic taste. The process of making openwork snowflakes is quite simple; to do this, you need to fold a sheet of paper in half to form a triangle. We fold the resulting triangle two more times, after which we cut out the pattern using a previously prepared template. This is applicable for creating traditional hexagonal snowflakes.

To make a snowflake with eight corners, first fold a sheet of paper in half twice into a triangle, and then once again diagonally. Octagonal snowflakes look more elegant, but they are more difficult to cut out due to the greater number of layers of paper.

Schemes for cutting snowflakes from paper

Instead of plain white paper, you can use paper napkins, tissue paper, tin foil, or old magazines. Beautiful openwork snowflakes on the walls and windows of the room will perfectly complement the holiday decor. Light paper snowflakes can be used to make a magnificent garland or streamer with threads hanging down. You can also decorate a New Year's card or gift wrapping with a homemade snowflake. Snowflakes made from denser material will be an ideal decoration for a children's New Year's costume.

The frantic pace of modern life does not always allow you to feel the festive mood before the New Year. Therefore, we try to decorate the room to create the appropriate atmosphere.

To decorate a room, you don’t have to buy decorations in a store. But it will be more pleasant to decorate the room with your own hands. It’s enough to get the whole family together on a day off and start preparing for the New Year.

The simplest element of holiday decor is a snowflake. In Soviet times, children folded a sheet of paper several times and cut out geometric shapes. When unfolded, the result was a snowflake with openwork patterns.

With the development of modern technologies, it has become possible to learn about various methods for manufacturing design elements.

In today's article we will look at several options for making a popular New Year's attribute.

Making a beautiful Christmas tree is quite simple. To cut out a snowflake we will need scissors and a sheet of paper. Follow the step-by-step instructions with photos and you will definitely succeed.

Prepare a square sheet of paper (15 cm). First of all, we fold it diagonally, as shown in the photo below.

Then we connect both ends of the triangle and smooth the fold with our hand.

We continue to bend the sheet and cut off the excess, as shown in the image below.

Now we need a round object, such as a pencil with glue. We use it to draw two circles on the workpiece.

The next step is to cut out the paper along the drawn circle, and we should get this figure:

As a result of these actions, we created a snowflake around the edges. Now let's take care of the center. To do this, cut out a semicircle on one side of the workpiece.

In the end, we got this craft.

For variety, you can experiment, just cut out different shapes.

Step-by-step instructions for making three-dimensional snowflakes

You can decorate the room with 3D decorations. There are many ways to make such decor. We will look at one of the simple options for creating a large snowflake.

First we need to make a perfect square out of a rectangular piece of paper. To do this, fold it as shown in the photo below, and then cut off the excess part.

Fold the triangle in half. We make sure that all the lines are straight and the ends match.

From the edge where the ends meet, we make notches with a pencil in 2 cm increments. And we draw lines, leaving about one centimeter from the edge.

Now we make cuts along the drawn lines with scissors.

We carefully unfold the workpiece so as not to damage it.

In the next step we will need glue. Starting from the center, we begin gluing each pair of strips.

Then we turn the workpiece over and glue the next pair of strips on the other side. Thus, we prepare six parts of the future snowflake.

All that remains is to fasten the blanks with a stapler, first in the center and then along the edges.

You can use glitter to decorate the decoration. Painted edges also look beautiful. Go for it!

How to make beautiful New Year's snowflakes

Do you want to make a beautiful decoration for your apartment? Nothing could be simpler. Just have some paper and scissors ready. In just one minute you can cut out a snowflake with your own hands for the New Year holidays.

Here's the final result:

We take a regular A4 sheet. From the corner we bend one side to the other to form a triangular shape. We don't need the lower part, so we cut it off with scissors.

The next step is to fold the workpiece in half.

Now we bend one side slightly obliquely, and bend the opposite side on top, and turn the workpiece over. The actions are shown in the image.

The appearance of the finished snowflake will depend further on the design. Here you can show your imagination, but first use a ready-made option, and then experiment.

All that remains is to cut out the decorated element according to the drawn template.

All that remains is to deploy our workpiece and evaluate our results. If you do everything according to the instructions, then you will definitely succeed.

DIY snowflakes using quilling technique

Making snowflakes using this technology will require perseverance and a lot of patience. Because the work is quite painstaking. But the result is worth it, the decoration turns out very beautiful. Young children may find this method difficult to use, but parents and students may enjoy it.

Stencils of New Year's snowflakes

It is not necessary to use special technology or fold paper and then cut it out. You can decorate your house with snowflakes, which can be easily made from ready-made templates. All that remains is to download the patterns and cut out the decorative element using them using a stationery knife or scissors.

I offer several interesting options that you can print or download to your computer:

We cut out these stencils, paint them if necessary, and stick them on windows or other surfaces that we want to decorate.

You can print all these patterns using the icon below:

Step-by-step master class on creating snowflakes for beginners

If you have never made a paper snowflake with your own hands, then I offer you step-by-step and detailed instructions. This method is one of the simplest.

We will need A4 paper, you can use colored material. To make an equilateral square, you need to connect the top side to the side. And then cut off the bottom part.

Fold the resulting triangular blank in half, then smooth the corners.

To ensure that all edges and corners are even, we will mark points for further production. We unfold the triangle so that the square is folded only diagonally.

Now connect the top corner to the center of the base and smooth the bend with your hand to mark the point.

To create the next point, bend the base to the first bend.

Then we connect the upper corner of the triangle to the previous bend.

Now we need a ruler. Bend the triangle along a line that runs from the end of the upper segment to the center of the base. We do the same on the other side.

We fold the workpiece along the side lines. Carefully iron the bend lines.

Cut off the excess paper along the fold line.

As a result, we get a hexagonal blank, from which we will then make a snowflake.

We fold the workpiece along the lines again and fold it in half.

We will need to draw some kind of pattern. To get started, use the ready-made option in the photo below, and after that you can experiment with the drawings.

Cut according to the template.

Carefully unfold it and we should get something like this snowflake with 6 rays.

The main thing is to remember all the steps, and then the whole process will take you no more than one minute.
