What to wear with a black jacket. What to wear with women's jackets: current looks

Combinations of clothing, shoes and accessories are a complex but very interesting topic. Today we will tell you about the basic rules that will help you create stylish classic looks - that is, those that we ourselves love and highly recommend to you. No officialdom, no risk - only harmony and elegance.

Trousers and jacket. It's important to create contrast here. This could be a contrast of colors (for example, a blue jacket and gray trousers), a contrast of patterns (for example, plain trousers and a plaid jacket), or a contrast of textures (for example, a tweed jacket and flannel trousers). The jacket can be either lighter or darker than the trousers - this is not critical; the main thing is harmony and a combination that is pleasing to the eye.

Pants and shoes. In Russia and England they like black shoes, but Italians prefer brown ones. And for good reason: often brown shoes really look more stylish, and they go with a great variety of trousers - including blue ones, not to mention gray ones. True, black shoes are also very versatile, as are dark blue ones.

Shirt and jacket. The main rule is that the shirt should be lighter than the jacket; however, there are exceptions that are relevant in the summer. As for patterns, a checkered or striped shirt will go well with a plain jacket. A plain shirt is an ideal companion for a checkered jacket, but a true dandy will not go for such a combination and will match a checkered jacket with a checkered or at least striped shirt. It is necessary that the check or stripe on the shirt be noticeably different in scale from the check or stripe on the jacket.

Shirt and tie. Try to choose a tie that complements and contrasts nicely with your shirt; A dark or richly colored tie in combination with a light shirt is a much less risky combination than a light tie and a dark shirt.

Pocket square. There is no need to be afraid of it: in most cases, this accessory will only make your image better and more advantageous. The basic rule is that the scarf should not completely match the color of the tie. The drawing can be bright and interesting; it’s great if it contrasts with both the jacket and the shirt.

Now let's look at the images that we have compiled from the assortment of our store.

An elegant classic look that is suitable for the office, going to the theater or restaurant. The lack of a tie makes it slightly relaxed and informal, but black shoes, as well as a plain jacket and trousers, clearly hint at the seriousness of its owner. A colored pocket square adds a pop of color to your look.

Brown boots and blue trousers are one of the favorite combinations of Italians; in most cases it looks very good. The gray jacket contrasts softly with the dark trousers, and the blue scarf adds color to the look and enlivens it. The result is a discreet, informal and at the same time elegant ensemble.

First of all, the jacket with a large blue check attracts attention. Pants for such a jacket should be light and plain - or with a discreet pattern. A pink tie with a pattern is a great option for spring and summer; here it harmonizes perfectly with both a jacket and a shirt. The image turns out interesting and extraordinary thanks to the combination of three different patterns. Please note that the check on the shirt is much smaller than the check on the jacket: that is why we see harmony, and not a violent dispute between the patterns of the jacket and shirt.

Another discreetly elegant look that is appropriate at any time of the year: even in winter, even in spring, even in summer. Dark trousers perfectly complement a light jacket with a medium-sized pattern, a checkered shirt with a button-down collar hints at the informality of the setting, and a scarf with a bright ornament enlivens the ensemble. Black shoes look elegant and very appropriate, but do not attract undue attention.

There is perhaps nothing more essential to your wardrobe than a black jacket. A black jacket should be a staple in almost any gentleman's wardrobe. This timeless, perfect wardrobe item is a must have for those who already have a good wardrobe and for those who are just starting to develop their own style and wardrobe. But, like any thing, a black jacket has rules on how and what to wear it with.

A jacket is a key element of your wardrobe that helps you look sharp. A black jacket adds sophistication and maturity of taste to solidity.

While a black blazer is part of a classic black suit, it can also be paired well with jeans and a T-shirt.

If you are selective and smart about buying a black jacket, then you will have a universal piece of clothing in your wardrobe that can be worn with trousers and a tie, or with a T-shirt and jeans.

What to wear with a black jacket

If you are shopping for a black blazer, you may come across a huge number of styles and types. But don't despair, just remember a few important tips.

  1. Double-breasted and two-button blazers are the most classic blazer styles.
  2. Blazers can be worn to both formal and informal events. Therefore, when purchasing, consider the style in which you will wear the jacket. If your style is often informal, then you should try on a jacket in informal clothes.
  3. Before purchasing, you should definitely pay attention to some details of the jacket. Patch pockets and unpadded shoulders are a characteristic feature of a casual jacket, which should not be worn to formal events, as the overall look will make your ensemble look too relaxed.
  4. Make sure the seams are of good quality, even if the jacket is made from inexpensive fabric.

How to Wear a Black Blazer

Any conscious gentleman knows that mixing up some wardrobe pieces is an opportunity to inject a little creativity into your wardrobe. Pairing your black jacket with pants that are a different color from the jacket will allow you to express a little creativity in your everyday wardrobe. If you give it a little thought, you will find many formal and informal wardrobe options with a black blazer.

To help, I took the liberty of suggesting which combinations with a black jacket, in my opinion, are more successful.

Gray trousers with a black jacket

For those of you who want to appear stylish, but don't want to give your wardrobe a formal look, pairing a black blazer with gray trousers is a great option. Paired with a shirt and tie, this is the perfect look for formal meetings.

For a more casual atmosphere, you can switch from a shirt and tie to a nice polo or T-shirt. If you add sneakers to this wardrobe, then this style is perfect for an evening out with friends at the bar. Thanks to the combination with a black jacket, you will not lose your solidity, but will thus make you feel relaxed in the atmosphere. Add a touch of elegance to a black jacket with a large scarf or pocket square. The great thing about pairing a black blazer with gray trousers is that it works both ways: formal and informal.

Black jacket with jeans

If you choose a black jacket with jeans, you should not make a clear distinction between daytime and evening wear. This combination allows you to come from the “ship to the ball.” This combination exudes both natural sophistication, thanks to the black jacket, and practicality, thanks to the jeans. Perhaps this is the ideal combination for modern city life.

Black Blazer and Khaki Pants

Another classic trick is to pair a black jacket with khaki trousers. A black blazer and khaki or beige trousers create a very versatile look and will work year-round, adding style and sophistication to your look.

For more formal occasions, I recommend. And, accordingly, single-breasted is more suitable for an everyday wardrobe. Add a touch of sophistication to a simple white one with a tie.

A black blazer with a blue shirt and black trousers is a great option for a business or formal setting. If you want something more fashionable or want to experiment with color, opt for a bright blue shirt. This will be a great way to express your personality. For a more casual look, try pairing a light blue shirt, black blazer with a pair of jeans or a pair of lighter-colored trousers.

So, if you are looking for a blazer that is versatile, timeless and will highlight your style, then a black blazer is the best choice.

There are so many ways to combine things, so you can create your own unique style that will allow you to stand out from the crowd. Even simply pairing a black blazer with a polo shirt, a scarf or a pair of well-fitted jeans will make you look great no matter the time of day.

When buying a black jacket, it is important to remember that the quality of the fabric must be up to par. And, of course, “the main thing is that the suit sits” and does not hang or dangle. Don't be afraid to shop around to find something that truly suits your style and needs.

In terms of style, you simply can't go wrong with a black jacket, as the old saying goes: "Black goes with everything." If you are young and choosing your first jacket, you should choose black. Because it is a black jacket that will allow you to combine things in your wardrobe. Ultimately, this will allow you to get more use and versatility from your jacket.

Pairing a sports jacket and trousers (or jeans) is a nice, less formal alternative to a classic suit. However, according to observations, not everyone knows how to create such combinations correctly. The main problem is the lack of proper contrast between the top and bottom. In the article where we discussed options for combining them (“”), we only mentioned that they should not match in color. However, it seems necessary to give some clarification.

Let's start by touching on the origins. The ancestor of the modern unpaired jacket is the Norfolk jacket, which first appeared in the sixties of the 19th century and was created for active leisure, in particular for hunting. Initially, they mainly tried to match it in color with the bottom - trousers or breeches, but since the 1930s, it became fashionable to wear this element of men's clothing with trousers of a different color. The trend has continued to this day. And no wonder: it makes the image elegant, sophisticated and interesting. True, only if you approach the issue competently.

Often on the street you see men wearing a jacket and trousers barely different in color from each other. This “barely” is the root of all evil. It seems that many people deliberately choose jeans or trousers that are as close in shade as possible. This is mistake.
Why create contrast? To clarify your image. Until you achieve the required difference in shades, you are at a crossroads: one path leads to a suit, the other to a sports jacket-pants set. To avoid this ambiguity we need contrast.
Here are examples of unsuccessful combinations. Let's start with the obvious.

Here, the trousers are almost identical in tone to the jacket, but have a slight brownish tint, while the jacket is pure gray, plus it has a subtle pattern. I would like to replace either one or the other.

Here, too, as you can see, the top and bottom merge - both there is an equal amount of brown.
In the next photo, not everything is so obvious, but I also want to add contrast: both the trousers and the jacket are very close in lightness and color tone.

We cited the following example as an error in one of the posts on social networks, but we will repeat it.

Even though the pants are slightly different in color tone (there's some green in there), they're still very close to the gray color of the jacket. The problem would be solved by light cream-colored trousers, for example.

Now we will give several examples of the correct combination of an unpaired jacket and trousers. Here, contrast in clothing is achieved by playing with color tone and lightness. By distinguishing two items of clothing according to at least one of these characteristics, we achieve the necessary degree of contrast.
Let's say you have dark blue trousers or jeans. They will easily be combined with a lighter jacket - beige or brown. But dark blue, as you understand, would be a bad choice.

One of the most versatile options are gray trousers. Blue, brown, green - almost any color of jacket will look harmonious with them.

Dark gray is also one of the basic colors (photo below). Pants of this color look great with jackets in a very wide range of colors. The only point is that it should be a couple of tones lighter.

Light cream ones or just go great with dark (or medium) blue or brown mismatched jackets.

A mustard-colored bottom will go well with a dark blue or dark gray top.

Particularly worth mentioning is the drawing. If it is present on one of the items of clothing (for example, your jacket is checkered), then the trousers should be plain. And vice versa - even a modest pattern on trousers is best combined with a plain top.
You can better understand what contrast in clothing means, and you can also get some ideas, for example,.

The rules are simple, but it still requires a little more skill than wearing a simple suit. Practice, spend a couple of minutes more on the process of getting dressed in the morning, and the result will please you and those around you.

Even more interesting materials in our groups.

Recently, a good quality business suit for men was considered a must-have attribute, but women also often wore it. Office style for a business meeting and a grand entrance was a classic.

Modern trends are changing the way we look at choosing colors. Jacket and trousers of different colors create a new romantic and sensual image of a person.

Designers create many unusual loose-fitting styles. For girls (women) they offer an elongated cardigan in any shade. It harmonizes perfectly with office style and is suitable for a date or theatre. Mono-looks are losing their relevance, and a formal suit is not always appropriate.

The new collections have an incredible number of shades, this is the realm of celebration and joy. Not all images can be applied to everyday life. Women's fashion changes much faster than men's. Bright colors and checkered (stripe) trousers are also worn by men with pleasure.

Designers rely on originality even in men's collections. Mismatched items of different colors can easily be combined into a beautiful, exclusive look.

Traditional rules of style and elegance:

  • No more than 4-5 shades are allowed in the bow, organically combined with each other.
  • The main color is clothing with a larger area. More often it is a jacket (cardigan). Therefore, the most successful beautiful combinations are selected for it.
  • The shirt and trousers should have secondary shades.
  • A couple of additional shades are required in the image. These can be bright details as accents (accessories, shoes, scarf, tie, etc.).

New trends, how to choose trousers for a jacket:

  • Designers suggest playing with contrasts. A person will look more prestigious if he wears unpaired clothes with a dark top and a white (light) bottom.
  • Sets in 1 color look good, where one element is 0.5-1 tone lighter. It is better that the top part of the clothing is a little richer or darker than the bottom.
  • Contrary to traditional thinking, warm tones can be harmoniously combined with cold ones.
  • If 1 item of clothing has a pattern (check, stripe), then the others should be monochrome. It is difficult to combine two designs together beautifully.

Important! Pay attention to the texture of the fabrics. A corduroy jacket with flannel trousers is very harmonious, but not with linen trousers.

For those who find the ensemble too bright or variegated, it is better to limit it to 3 tones. Even strict clothing styles do not limit your options. The sets look stylish, well-chosen ensembles of the same color, but in different shades.

For example, for women, a dark pink (dark green) cardigan with lighter trousers and a blouse (shirt) looks impressive. Accessories and handbag may differ slightly in tone from a single image. This will create a stylish image and emphasize the impeccable taste of the hostess.

Winning jacket and trouser combinations in different colors

Fashionable combinations with a black jacket

The classic option throughout the centuries has been black. It belongs to the achromatic range, it absorbs heat. If a business style is required, then contrasting tones should be avoided.

In clothes, black color will stand out; if you add too bright a shade, it will create a conflict of colors. For the office it is better to choose a classic: a harmonious combination with gray and white shades.

If there is no dress code for a black jacket, these are perfect:

  • Light blue or dark blue jeans have become a universal option. They will fit perfectly into a youth casual look - an everyday style with an emphasis on practicality and comfort.
  • In fashion chinos, jackets look great with them. When choosing any range of chinos: olive, light green, light coffee, bright red, blue or yellow, you will always look stylish.
  • You don't have to stop at monochrome models. Straight-cut checkered trousers look good with a black top. Nowadays, extraordinary solutions for trousers are in trend.

Successful combinations with a gray jacket

Gray has become a popular color; its soft colors will create a stylish look:

  • Pairs perfectly with white and black trousers.
  • You can demonstrate great taste by combining different shades of gray.
  • Ensembles with blue and dark blue and jeans and trousers look very impressive.
  • Stylish bright shades of chinos (red, yellow or orange) also go well with the soft tone of the cardigan.

What trousers go with a blue jacket?

A universal solution for any wardrobe is a spectacular blue jacket. It will give a man the charm of success and confidence, and a woman - elegance and beauty.

Stylish color can be combined with almost any shade:

  • The trend is in combinations with beige tones, light brownish colors, burgundy, gray or olive.
  • Blue is a cool palette, so it goes well with blue or black jeans.
  • When creating a strict style, you can pair gray classic trousers with a dark blue jacket.
  • The combination of a blue top and white trousers is considered the standard of grace and elegance. This image radically transforms a person, emphasizing luxurious style.

Earthy shades

Perfectly combining shades in your wardrobe is the best solution. Beige, sand, cream, terracotta tones are universal. They combine well and look stylish.

If you want to always be in trend and stand out among office workers, this is the best option.

Checked jacket

The trend is not boring clothing, so even men are encouraged to wear bright chinos and jackets by designers. It is better to choose a print of soft colors. This will create a new image, the main thing is to choose the right jacket model. This way your partners, colleagues and those around you at the bar will pay attention to you.

A light jacket will go better with monochrome formal trousers in dark tones (with arrows).

Fashion becomes democratic, satisfying every taste. With the help of clothes you can express yourself, choose a more practical and convenient option for any event.
