Ideas for crochet glass. Cup holder "Flower in an octagon

Good afternoon, dear needlewomen and all guests of the blog!

Today I have such a small topic: I decided to show you how you can make coasters for mugs with your own hands. Many people are interested in this issue.

Crochet is closest to me, so I made a small selection of simple patterns for crocheted mug coasters. On such little things they often learn to crochet.

Do-it-yourself crochet coasters

First of all, I was inspired by these photos of mug coasters that I saw on the Internet.

Wow, such adorable sets! They can be used both under cups and under glasses when laying the table.

Even on weekdays, the kitchen or dining room should be beautiful. And these knitted little things give both comfort and mood.

In addition, these knitted items perform a practical function, they protect the surface of furniture from stains and scratches, especially if you put something hot on the table, so as a hot stand, this is probably its most important use.

Of course, some wooden or wicker coasters can be more practical and more convenient, but we, the needlewomen, need to attach the remnants of yarn and generally knit the coasters with our own hands much more pleasantly, in addition, this fashionable decoration for the kitchen will surprise both home and guests.

We show our creative imagination and knit coasters for mugs!

You can use any thick thread. And the leftover yarn will come in handy. It is only necessary to take into account the style of the interior and choose a nice color for knitted coasters.

We choose the hook, as always, suitable for the yarn.

Schemes of round coasters for a mug

Crocheted mug coasters, those in the upper main photo, are connected according to the diagram below:

In principle, any pattern can be used to knit round coasters. The schemes posted are perfect, or I will not repeat myself and post them again. There, by the way, there is a scheme close to pink coasters.

Here is another simple scheme, read about it below:

When knitting color models, you should correctly make the transition from one color to another, knitting the last loop of the row with a new color. How to do this, you can see in my video, in which I show how to crochet a sunflower flower, which, by the way, turned out to be an excellent coaster for a mug.

And here are some more cute coasters - flowers, I also shot an MK for knitting them:

Schemes of square coasters for a mug

I have not knitted any sets of coasters for myself yet, but I have one coaster for a mug. It turned out quite unexpectedly.

The fact is that some comrades at my house are very fond of drinking tea, sitting in an armchair watching TV. An attempt to put a hot mug on a coffee table with my snow-white evoked, to put it mildly, very violent emotions. I immediately found something to be able to substitute. And one day a motive came under my hands, which I knitted specifically for, in order to make a master class. So he remained to serve as a coaster for hot mugs, which wanders from an armchair to a sofa, and from a sofa to a computer desk, and is in no way tied to the style of the interior, but quite a nice coaster for a mug with his own hands.

Potholder "Spiral" crochet

The potholder can also be used as a hot napkin. Crochet potholders "Spiral" will require wool blend yarn of two colors and hook number 4. Knit with single crochet, insert the hook under both sides of the chain of the previous round. Do not do an air loop on the rise of the next circle. To prevent constrictions from being visible on the wrong side of the work, when switching from one thread color to another, place the thread temporarily out of work horizontally above the knit.

Knit a chain of five air loops and form a circle using a connecting post.

1st round: Work 8 single crochets with blue yarn.

2nd round: Mark the beginning of the circle with colored thread. * Over the first column, knit two single crochet with white yarn, above the second column - two single crochet with blue yarn. * Repeat 4 times.

3rd circle: * over two white columns, knit three single crochets with white yarn, over two blue columns - three single crochets with blue yarn. * Repeat 4 times. Make increases by knitting two from one column in the last single crochet.

Keep an eye on the colors as you work. Increase each subsequent circle by eight single crochets until the diameter of the potholder is 16 -18 centimeters.

Tie the finished potholder with "shells" of five columns with one crochet. Between the "shells" knit one single crochet. So that the potholder can be hung, make a loop of 16 stitches and tie it with single crochets.

Small coasters for cups or glasses with a diameter of 10 cm. Knitted from fine yarn 30 g - 150 m. Crochet No. 1.75.

The napkin is knitted from the center. First you need to dial 8 in. p and tie them with 24 sbn (single crochet). Connect the last and first column to close with a connecting loop.

Then do 3 in. lifting and tie 24 columns with a crochet. At the end of the row, close the circle again with a connecting loop.

In the third row you need to do 3 in. lifting stitch, double crochet, * 3 air loops, 2 double crochets *, repeat between the stars to the end. Close the circle at the end of the row. Make 1 step with a connecting loop along the arch to the left.

Fourth row: 4 in. lifting item, 2 s2n (columns with two crochets), 3 c. p., 3 s2n. In the next arch: 3 s2n 3v. n, 3 s2n So knit to the end in each arch. At the end of the row, connect the circle and take 3 steps with a connecting loop to the left along the lower double crochets.

Fifth row: Single crochet for the lower arch of 3 loops, 5 air loops, single crochet for the same arch, 5 air loops. Then we repeat. At the end, close the row with a connecting loop in the initial column.

Sixth row: 3 air loops, 4 tbsp. with a crochet, 3 c. p, 5 tbsp. With. n, double crochet for the lower arch of five loops. again 5S1n, 3 c. p, 5 s1n, single crochet for an arch of 5 loops. repeat the pattern.

  • For the creative process, you will need a yarn of romantic tones. For a romantic cup coaster, delicate pink and sophisticated white yarn colors were chosen.
  • We select a hook for the selected hanks. All the necessary information about choosing a hook can almost always be found on the yarn label.

Crochet cup holder for beginners - a master class with a photo step by step:

The coaster under a cup consists of 3 stages of work. The first step is to knit 4 hearts from the center by knitting columns with 1 crochet in a certain order. It all starts from the center, which looks like a circle of air loops.

Next, we knit the sequence, as in the "grandmother's square" pattern. The beginning element consists of 3 columns with 1 crochet, separated by arches of 2 air loops. At the beginning of the row, 5 air loops are knitted, which imitate a column and the first arch. At the end of the row we knit a connecting loop. In the initial row, it is knitted in 3 loops from the base of the row.

In the next row, we increase the number of columns with 1 crochet by knitting 3 columns at once into the tops of the extreme columns of the previous row.

In the third row, the increase in columns occurs in the same way.

Now we move on to knitting the upper parts of the hearts. They are knitted in the shape of a shell by knitting several columns into one base. The base is not the entire loop, but only its front wall. The next row will be attached to the back walls.

For the back wall we knit a series of ordinary columns with 1 crochet. At the same time, in the arches between the hearts we knit 2 columns with 1 crochet, 2 air loops and again 2 columns with 1 crochet.

The next 2 rows are knitted in the same way.

Along the edge, the square must be tied with pink yarn using alternating air and connecting loops.

To give the coaster a neat look, you need to use an iron. It is better to iron the coaster through a piece of white cloth or through gauze.
