How to make beads with your own hands? The master class will help you master simple needlework techniques. How to weave beaded beads with your own hands

The problem “the wardrobe is full, but there is nothing to wear” is probably familiar to many. It seems that things don’t even fit into the closet, but you still want to somehow refresh your usual look. In this case, jewelry and accessories come to the rescue: sometimes one large detail is enough to completely transform the entire image. The big advantage is that the accessories do not take up much space, are practically not outdated, and most importantly, you can even make them yourself. Literally using improvised materials, you can create the same stylish jewelry that is sold in expensive designer stores. We bring to your attention several unusual ways to make beautiful beads yourself in a do-it-yourself master class.

How to make beads with your own hands from plastic bottles and other materials

It's hard to imagine, but even ordinary plastic bottles can be used as material for beads. This is a very simple decoration that is more suitable for children's games or as a bright stage outfit. To make unusual “beads” you will need bottoms cut from plastic bottles, and it is better to take containers with a volume of 0.5 liters or less. If you look closely, these blanks look like flowers. You just need to shape them using a hair dryer so that the petals bend, and paint them with acrylic paints.

Another option for jewelry made from plastic bottles looks more “grown-up”, but is also easy to make and suitable for beginners. For it we will need bottles made of green or blue plastic. It is necessary to cut out blanks that resemble petals in shape, and then punch holes in them in a random order with a hole punch. Next, heat the pieces so that they curl up a little. After this, all that remains is to string the petals on a beautiful cord or metal chain with large links.

Beads made from plastic bottles are a demonstration of what spectacular things can be made from scrap materials found in every home. For the next necklace, the plastic blanks will need to be cut into squares of the same size. Next, we heat the workpieces so that they have curved wavy edges. We connect the blanks in pairs and insert a matching bead into the center - we get a beautiful translucent flower. These beads can be used to assemble a spectacular necklace and even earrings.

How to assemble a beaded necklace correctly?

A necklace made from ready-made components is also very simple to make. You can make the simplest “choker” decoration from a cord and beads, which will go well with a sporty and country style.

If you spend a little time, beads and fabric will turn into elegant beads that you won’t be embarrassed to wear on a date.

Leather beads.

Genuine leather is an unusually plastic material from which not only expensive accessories are made, but also jewelry. These can be either ethnic style necklaces, decorated with beads and natural stones, or romantic leather floral arrangements. The simplest beads that can be made from leather are simple tubes wound around wooden sticks.

Knitted beads.

Knitted jewelry looks very gentle and elegant. They usually consist of several individual elements, such as flowers, tied together using ribbons and decorated with beads and beads. Simple and stylish necklaces are made with crochet - they can look like lace stand-up collars.

You can come up with patterns for finished work yourself, focusing on any knitted products with a pattern, even napkins.

In addition, using a crochet hook you can make useful sling beads for children. This is a special decoration for mom that the baby can play with while sitting in her arms or in a sling. Typically, such beads are made from bright cotton yarn in the shape of fruits or animals. However, using the same technique (crocheting wooden beads) you can also make adult beads, it is only important to choose the right design.

Beaded beads.

Beads are one of the most popular materials for making homemade jewelry, with which you can make very elegant little things. This is quite painstaking work, but the result is certainly worth it. Beads make elegant necklaces of various shapes: woven, embroidered, knitted in the form of plaits. In order for the finished product to look good, it is important to monitor the quality of the material and choose only smooth beads without flaws (for example, made in Japan or the Czech Republic).

The so-called beaded air bags look very stylish. This type of necklace consists of several levels of fishing line of different lengths, on which beads, beads and crystals are strung. Usually a monochrome color scheme is used, but if you make such beads from white beads with pearls, you will get a real wedding decoration.

In general, working with beads requires some preparation and skill - this is not the kind of beads that can be made five minutes before leaving the house. For beginners, it is better to start with simple elements, gradually trying something new and more complex. On thematic websites and forums you can find detailed master classes with descriptions of how to weave this or that part yourself.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and embody your wildest ideas - photos for inspiration can be found in fashion magazines and articles about style.

Collect beads on a string... It would seem that what could be simpler? However, it is not. As in any business, there are little tricks here. Not everyone knows what thread to use, how to choose and attach the lock correctly. When I first started collecting jewelry 5 years ago, I tried to find a good master class on this topic, but I was unsuccessful. I had to learn by trial and error. But now, in my opinion, I can teach you this too, dear friends.

I hope this simple master class will be useful to many.

I deliberately do not dwell on design issues. Knowing the basics of assembly, you can always come up with a design yourself.

So let's begin.

Materials and tools.

It's easy to guess that we need beads, thread and a lock. The beads can be anything you like. Threads and locks will be discussed below. The only tools you need are small scissors and a lighter or matches. You will also need a piece of fishing line 0.3-0.5 mm thick and 10-20 cm long (I use jewelry cable, but not every home has it, fishing line is quite suitable). And no needles!

Choosing threads

The thread should

  1. Be strong
  2. Do not stretch under load
  3. Do not become shaggy when rubbing
  4. Melt when heated

Only polyester meets these conditions. We reject cotton, silk, nylon (nylon) immediately.

Thread thickness - the thicker the better. The thicker the thread, the better the beads will lie. But don't overdo it double The thread should fit into the hole of the bead without effort. If the threads you have are not thick enough, fold them several times.

Choose a castle.

Locks for beads come in different types: carabiners, screw locks, magnetic locks, toggle locks.

It is better if the carabiners are sold already with rings (No. 1, 2, 3 in the photo). Their sizes vary. The larger the beads, the larger the lock should be.

Carabiner No. 4 - without a ring, which means you will also need a ring. Important: Never use split rings. The ring should be double, like for keys, but, of course, small.

Lock No. 5 is also suitable, although it is not a carabiner. It is especially good if there is not enough length, and it is convenient to fasten it.

Now everything is ready, let's start assembling.

Description of work

Let's prepare the thread. We measure the length of the future beads, add 10-15 cm and multiply by 2. So for beads 45 cm long, the length of the thread will be 110-120 cm. Fold the thread in half, tie a knot at the end so that the beads do not jump off when stringing. If the thread is not thick enough, use double or even triple thread.

We take a piece of fishing line, fold it in half and insert it into the loop in the middle of our thread (at the far end from the knot) and begin stringing beads, threading both ends of the fishing line into the hole at once. Like this:

As we string, we move the beads from the fishing line to the thread.

Now all the beads are strung, let's start attaching the lock.

We pass the loop of our thread (the end on which we threaded it) through the ring of the lock.

We pull the opposite end of the beads into the loop...

And we tighten it. The ring is in place!

Now the most difficult part is the design of the second end of the beads.

We remove the lock itself from the ring, cut off the knot and insert the end of the thread into the lock ring.

We take the thread by the end, the lock moves towards the beads.

Take the fishing line again and press the middle tightly to the junction of the beads and the lock

We wrap the end of the thread tightly around the joint, one turn is enough

We thread the end of the thread into the loop of the fishing line

and pull the ends of the loop. The thread is threaded through the knot!

Beads are a decoration for all times! You can easily make beads with your own hands. Of course, as in any business, there are tricks and nuances here. On our website, we have long been collecting master classes on making beads using various techniques, as well as lessons on assembling them.

simple and elegant decoration, which we can do ourselves. All you need is imagination and perseverance. Well, and tools with available materials, of course. The technique of weaving beads is usually very simple. A base is taken and beads are strung on it, after which everything is secured with tweezers and a clasp is attached. All materials are sold in specialized departments, some can be ordered on the Internet.

What may be required:

  • The basis of any beads is a fishing line on which the beads are actually attached. Its diameter is 0.55 meters
  • Beads can be chosen according to your taste
  • In addition to transparent and rainbow beads, you will also need faceted beads
  • Special pendant with extension chain
  • Ring for connection, as well as a carabiner with clasp
  • There are two pins. In other words - pins
  • An organizer that will contain all the beads and beads.
  • Scissors
  • Pliers and round nose pliers
  • Crochet hook

Master class on making decorations

Use a regular 3mm crochet hook. The workplace is being prepared. The table at which the beads will be woven is covered with a tablecloth, and all the tools and parts of the future product are placed in an organizer.

For voluminous beads you will need a fishing line up to four meters long. You cannot cut the fishing line while stringing beads on it.. The beads simply move gradually towards the reel.

To make air loops, knit one securing loop and knit a chain from it. To make the beads more airy, string several beads and also make several loops alternating them with single ones. It will turn out very beautiful if you make two idle loops after each large bead.

Now we measure the dimensions of the chain. The first line will be about forty centimeters, and each next line will be larger than the previous one.

The last stage is assembling the beads. To do this, chains are threaded through the eyes of the pins and the ends are secured.

The pins will be the basis for the rows of chains. The remaining tails at the ends of the product are cut off and hidden. Caps and beads are placed on the pins, and the ends are cut off. Once the parts are connected they are ready. Decorations in the form of a flower will be complemented by airy beads.

Spectacular beads on a leather cord

To create such beads you will need:

  • Three meters of leather cord
  • Rubber glue Moment
  • Czech beads. Faceted beads of three and five millimeters in diameter. You will need about one and a half thousand pieces.
  • Detachable rings matching the color of the fittings. The diameter of the two rings is no more than five millimeters, and the thickness is one millimeter.
  • Tierra Cast Lock
  • Long needle number 12
  • Crimp and crimper. Everything matches the color of the fittings

How to make beaded beads

First they make a collar. Why measure the cord around the neck five times and leave one six centimeters longer, since that is where the loops will be.

We make the loops as follows: the end of the cord is bent one and a half centimeters and tied with thread. The ends of the thread are carefully cut off.

The very place that was wrapped is covered with glue. After two minutes, glue the remaining five ends.

Everything is wrapped and secured one more time.

The entire bead structure is hidden using a cord winding. Don't forget to lubricate with glue.

Starting from the middle of the structure, wrap the ladder with cord. We cut off the ends and carefully hide the ends using a needle and glue.

Properly made beads will have a perfect spiral. It should not fall apart, but be as dense as possible. Do not overdo it with glue; it should not be visible on the beads. Remains of hardened rubber glue are removed with a thick needle.

We finish the other end of the beads in the same way. We hook rings using tools.

Now it's the turn of the beads. The length of the beads will be seventy centimeters, so you will need a thread of 95 cm. Twenty-five will be used for fastening.

We alternate beads with seed beads. After stringing seventy centimeters of beads, do the following: Alternate the bead with the creep. A knot is tied using a needle with a kritp. The creeper is used to clamp the creep.

We carefully cut off all the ends and hide them. The resulting nine threads are tied. The product can be decorated with a flower.

Wedding necklace

The following materials will be required:

  • Pearl beads 5, 6, 8, 40 millimeters
  • Beads thirty grams. Must be transparent
  • fishing line

Flowers for necklaces are woven in the same way.

Beaded beads master class. Making beads with your own hands.

A bead is strung and fixed with a needle on a special pillow.

Since this necklace is double, that is, one side is different from the other, the beading is done only on one side. 2 threads will extend from the needle in different directions.

This is an almost magical hobby, and passionate people can no longer refuse it - it attracts so much and gives positive emotions. For those who want to get into lampwork, there are two ways: make a workshop at home or go to a studio where you can rent a space.

For a home workshop you will need the following equipment:

  • annealing furnace

  • propane tank

  • oxygen concentrator or oxygen cylinder (preferably a concentrator)

  • oxygen-propane burner

  • hood (kitchen hood will not work)

Tools:

  • spatula

  • scalpel

  • tweezers

  • glasses to protect against bright yellow radiation

Materials:

  • mandrels of different diameters (metal rods)

  • mandrel coating separator

  • glass (usually sold in sticks - these are called "rodas" or "darts")

In any case, it is better to get a master from professionals to find out all the details and avoid the mistakes of lampworkers. And yet it doesn’t matter where all this is done - at home or in the workshop, the result can be this:

These beads are made by hand using the “galaxy” technique - they really look like some kind of cosmic formations. One such galaxy is enough to decorate it with silver fittings and get an exclusive pendant that no one else will ever have, because it is almost impossible to repeat the pattern. You can make beads in exactly the same shades, but they will still be slightly different.

Although this is not so important, because from different beads you can make quite original bracelets and other handmade products:

Or this bracelet

How beads are made

In order for them to turn out beautiful and different, you need glass rods - it is from them that various beads and figures are made. The sticks look like this:

The technician turns on the oven to warm up, then turns on the burner and the magic begins. The stick is placed in the flame, the glass becomes fluid, and it is wound around the mandrel. When one revolution is completed, a small bead is obtained. If you wind another layer and another, you will get a huge ball.

And in this photo there is an almost finished bead in the flame of a burner. I must say that the first time it doesn’t turn out very smooth, but the second or third time it will turn out exactly right. In addition, the master prompts and helps if necessary. At home, of course, you will have to do everything by trial and error, but over time it will work out too. It takes about 10 minutes to make one bead.

After the liquid glass has turned into a product, it is placed in the oven for several hours. And here are the finished beads on the mandrels, already taken out of the oven. They need to be removed and cleaned from the separator that covers the mandrels

Or you can make monsters like these or something else - here there is room for your imagination to run wild.

The most unusual item for a beginner in a workshop is a burner. Fire bursts out of it in a powerful stream, which strives to burn. Therefore, first you must be given safety instructions and given special glasses through which you can calmly look at the fire and how your bead begins to take the shape you give it. While the bead is hot, it can be adjusted with various tools - spatulas, etc. Tweezers are used to make figurines - to pull out glass.

And now it’s ready - your first creation, melted in the fire and hardened in the oven, is born. And you, who became a real lampworker.

Now this hobby is gaining more and more popularity all over the world, and this area has its own recognized masters who have reached great heights. They make products that are amazing in their beauty and elegance. Looking at them, it is impossible to imagine that they were made by a person. Moreover, every master admits that he still has room to grow - there is no limit to perfection.
