I have more than once posted master classes on how to make flowers with your own hands - for decorating clothes, flowers for hats, flowers for headbands or hairpins, flowers for decorating interior items, flowers for brooches, etc., flowers from felt, tulle, satin, from different fabrics and ribbons. This time I present an equally interesting DIY flower idea for the home - let's make a bouquet of flowers from burlap. In my opinion, just a charming bouquet to decorate your home - a little vintage, a little boho, a little country style. Very stylish!
Instead of or together with burlap, you can use linen, coarse cotton and fiber fabrics. We will need three colors of burlap or other fabrics - light, beige and brown. In addition, we need buttons, outline paint, scissors, hot glue, and wire for the stems. To spice up our handmade burlap bouquet a little, we’ll add a few branches of artificial flowers with small delicate flowers.
Our bouquet for interior decoration will consist of three types of flowers - a pouf flower, a flower made of ribbons on a button and, of course, roses - how could we live without them! Thus, here you will find 3 master classes at once - how to make flowers from burlap with your own hands! Do-it-yourself bouquet of burlap flowers and DIY burlap flowers master class:

1. The first burlap flower is called a French pouf. We will need to make 5 of these flowers. So let's get started.
We draw an arbitrary outline of a flower in a shape reminiscent of a star or a daisy - we use contour paints. Cut along the outline. We pass a thin wire through the base of the flower through two holes, see photo below. We string about 7 daisies onto the wire. We round the wire at the base of the flower, pulling it into a pouf. We twist the two ends of the wire into a stem.

2. Brown burlap flower. We cut thin strips from burlap like braid, and use wire to string it onto a button, as you will see below in the master class. The photos are step-by-step and quite detailed - you will succeed! We will need 6 brown burlap flowers. Buttons can be different - it’s even more fun! We pass the wire through the holes of the button, as in the photo. We fix it. Then we begin to string burlap braid onto it, forming loops.

3. Now we make roses from burlap. We will make 7 roses with our own hands. Get your scissors ready and plug in your hot glue gun. Let's get started. Cut a strip of burlap 8-10cm wide. Apply glue along the vertical edge to form a dense strip in two layers, around which we will form a rosebud, thread a wire through it. Next, twisting the strip a little around its axis, fold the rose shape, press it to the core, and fix each turn of the fabric with glue.

We made this bouquet of burlap flowers with our own hands. We decorate our bouquet with artificial flowers, just to liven it up - three to five branches with small flowers are enough. And voila! A wonderful decoration for the interior of the kitchen or living room! A wonderful gift for mom or beloved friend!

What you will need for the craft

Such burlap crafts are an inexpensive pleasure. Among the main auxiliary items are the following:

glue (creating volume);

DIY burlap flowers are made based on photographs found on the Internet. It’s easier to start from a finished design. Therefore, you should initially familiarize yourself with the design options, and then start directly creating your own masterpiece.

The easiest way would be to use the method of gluing burlap onto a finished frame of wire petals. The algorithm of actions is as follows:

1. First you need to coat the burlap with glue. Next, the fabric should dry. This way the textile becomes hard and will easily take the desired shape.

2. Wire frames are prepared - in the form of future petals. They must be of different shapes. This makes the flower look more natural.

3. Metal petals are placed on glued pieces of fabric and once again treated with an adhesive. For better bonding, cover the workpieces with film and place a heavy object on top. In this form, the craft is left for one day to dry.

4. Using scissors, cut the petals along the contour and trim off the excess threads. All edges must be smooth. Afterwards, the petals are combined into one flower and twisted with wire. Flower elements can be bent and given the desired volume.

Lace, beads and rhinestones are chosen as decoration. You can add color using nail polish - either plain or with glitter.

1. A lace ribbon is attached to the base.

2. A bud is placed in the center.

Beads, brooches and rhinestones are used as decoration. They are placed randomly over the entire surface of the flower. They are attached both with glue and using threads. Having created several flowers, you can try to combine them in a panel painting. The different textures and roughness of burlap flowers look unusual and stylish.
