Knitted collar collar knitting pattern for children. White jumper with yoke collar

Today we will make with our own hands such an element of clothing as a collar collar. At the stage of designing the product and giving it a finished look, the appearance of the collar plays a big role. From what type you choose, how neatly the knitting will be done, how well it fits the chosen model - the appearance of the product depends on all these factors. Beautiful, neat collars can emphasize the beauty of a thing, smooth out its flaws, and also simply decorate.

At the same time, a poorly matched and poorly knitted collar will ruin everything. With this accessory, you can visually shorten or, conversely, make your neck longer. Collars are knitted both separately from the product and together. The best collar decoration is that you yourself can knit in a matter of minutes. It's time to start our master class.

Of the numerous types of collars, a self-knit collar collar stands out. There are many varieties of it, as well as methods of manufacture. Here is one option:

What are the types of collar collars?

The forms of the “collar” collar are extremely diverse: this is a large collar lying in soft folds (Fig. 1), and a small collar adjacent to the neck (Fig. 2), and a “collar” in the form of a hood (Fig. 3). There are also different ways of making them. Here are some of them:

Rice. 1 - 3 "Clamp", lagging behind the neck; adjacent collar "yoke"; "collar" - hood

Rice. 4 Pattern lagging behind the neck "collar"

We are trying to tie the one lagging behind the neck (Fig. 1)

  1. Knit it from the bottom edge of the collar in the form of a rectangular fabric (Fig. 4). It should be soft, so knitting should be done with thicker knitting needles and better with a garter stitch - errors are less visible on it.
  2. Having knitted the collar, finish it with several rows of auxiliary thread and iron the edge along the sewing line. Sew the fabric, fold along the seam and mark the opposite fold.
  3. After that, weave the auxiliary thread and baste the collar to the wrong side of the product (the neck loops must be closed).
  4. Next, weave 1 row of woolen threads from the collar and pin it to the inside of the neck.

If the collar does not suit you or your clothes, tie it that perfectly warms and complements the image just as well.

An interesting variant of the collar adjacent to the neck (Fig. 2)

Rice. 5 Pattern adjacent collar "collar»

  1. On the base pattern of the back and front, apply a new neck line; for an adjacent collar, it is enough to draw it 1.5 cm lower than the main one (Fig. 5).
  2. Getting started - the bottom edge of the collar. The direction of knitting is shared.
  3. Having connected several rows with a garter stitch (edge), go to the main pattern, in this example, small booklet, and knit, making decreases (see signs - in Fig. 5).
  4. When the height of the collar becomes 10-14 cm, change the pattern to an elastic band 1X1 (the number of loops is the same, and the number of knitting needles is less) and, having knitted 3-4 cm, finish the work with several rows of an auxiliary thread.
  5. Remove the knitting from the knitting needle, iron along the sewing line and sew the side edges of the collar. Then fold along the seam and mark the opposite fold with colored thread.
  6. Next, weave off the auxiliary thread and pin the collar to the model so that the seam coincides with the middle of the back, and the color mark with the middle of the front. Neck loops must be open.
  7. Now weave 1 row of woolen threads from the collar and connect it to the neck with a loop-to-loop seam.

You can also try to link, because it's very fast and easy! Or here is another option for you on how to knit a collar collar with knitting needles.

Alternative model in the form of a hood (Fig. 3)

  1. On the pattern-based back and front, draw a new neck line (Fig. 6).
  2. When knitting the product, leave the neck loops open.
  3. Run the collar in the transverse direction in the form of a straight fabric, starting and ending with its auxiliary thread.
  4. Knit should not be tight, better with an elastic band, for example, English.
  5. When finished, iron the edges with the auxiliary thread, braid it and connect the open loops of the collar with a loop-to-loop seam (for rubber bands). Sitting down, sew the collar to the neck.

We create a scarf-collar on knitting needles in a couple of days

It's time to talk about how to knit your own scarf-collar with knitting needles. Often such a product is called a product for children. But this is absolutely not the case, because with the right choice of yarn and careful execution, it will become a stylish accessory in your wardrobe. Many women knit a scarf-collar, also with knitting needles, to wear it with outerwear, but it looks great with a formal dress, with trousers or a classic-style skirt. Be imaginative and you will knit not only a warm product that will protect you from the cold, but also a great addition to your daily outfit. Let's take a closer look - carefully study the diagrams and read the descriptions.

Introductory information:
  • Materials for knitting the scarf: 200 g of DROPS POLARIS for sizes S/M and 300 g for sizes L/XL, same color, circular needles (60 cm long), 8 mm thick.
  • Knitting density (for a sample made with the front surface): 10 loops and 13.5 rows = 10 by 10 cm.
  • How to change the thread (when knitting from a new skein): when you need to start knitting from a new skein, split the thread from the ending skein lengthwise into 2 parts 15 cm long and cut one of the parts, do the same with a new thread. Fold together the 1st and the last 15 cm so that the thread becomes the usual thickness and continue knitting - this will allow you to change the yarn unnoticed.
  • Note: in the description of knitting, LP denotes facial loops, and PI denotes purl loops.
  • Knitting a spiral pattern: knit in a circle * 4 LS, 2 PI * - repeat to the end of the circular row. This pattern is repeated on 6 loops, i.e. the number of loops for knitting a pattern should be divisible by 6 + 1. In the next rows, the pattern shifts to the right by 1 loop, which creates its twist in a spiral.

If you have little knitting experience, try knitting - it's suitable even for children!

Knitting process for beginners in needlework

  1. Cast on 55-61 sts on circular needle. And knit in a circle.
  2. Knit 1 row first.
  3. Then knit in a spiral pattern.
  4. Change yarn as described above.
  5. Knit a scarf collar with knitting needles to a height of 18-22 cm, knit the last row only with facial ones and close the loops.

Sectional dyed yarn (75% sheep wool, 25% polyamide; approx. 240 m / 150 g) - 600 (600–600) 750 g = 4 (4–4) 5 skeins of red; knitting needles No. 7 and 8; circular knitting needles number 7.

Patterns and schemes

Rubber

Knit with knitting needles No. 7 alternately 2 facial loops, 2 purl loops.

Front surface

Knit with knitting needles No. 8 front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.

Underlined decreases = at the beginning of the front row: purl the 3rd and 4th loops together.
At the end of the front row: knit the 4th and 3rd loops from the end together with the front one: remove 1 loop, as in the front knitting, 1 front, stretch the removed loop through it. Double loop = lifting loop: slip the first loop, as in purl knitting, the thread lies in front of the work. Pull the thread strongly back until the thread of the bottom row rises and is put on the knitting needle, as a result you will have 2 loops on the right knitting needle. In the case of knitting a double loop, both loops are knitted together according to the figure.

Knitting density

13 p. x 18 p. \u003d 10 x 10 cm, knitted with the front surface of the knitting needles No. 8.

The collar is an ordinary collar, tied with an English rubber band. Height is about 30-32.

Before describing the order of knitting a collar, it is necessary to clarify a few details. Firstly, the collar collar can be either a separate part of the wardrobe or part of a sweater, dress and other clothes. Secondly, you can knit a collar both on circular knitting needles and just on two knitting needles. Thirdly, this collar can be knitted longitudinally or across.

Another important detail - knitting a collar collar can be compared to knitting an elastic band for socks, but only with more loops. By the way, the collar collar for a sweater and the detachable collar collar are knitted according to the same principle. So we begin to knit a collar. In total, there are two options for collars of this type. The first option is a gradually expanding collar. It is used in cases where it is intended to be used as a headdress or to obtain voluminous folds. In other cases, it has a straight cut. We start knitting a collar collar with knitting needles with a choice of yarn and knitting needle thickness. At the same time, the thicker the knitting needles, the more embossed the collar will be. A garter stitch, stocking stitch, or rib is perfect for a pattern. Other patterns will prevent the collar from laying softly around the neck. Let's move on to the set of loops. How to knit a straight collar - this is understandable, it can be knitted in the form of a regular rectangle, and then sewn on the sides. Another option is the usual circular knitting. For us, the more interesting option is in the form of a trapezoid.

Collar collar as a separate piece of clothing

In this case, knitting begins with the widest edge, which will then cover your shoulders. The number of loops is determined according to the sample. Although you can measure the diameter of the bottom edge with a thread. Double this length and start casting on. To facilitate the process, we suggest knitting a collar on circular knitting needles. After the loops are dialed, we begin knitting. We knit a circle with a height of 20-25 cm. A more accurate length depends on the desired collar depth. Next, we begin to decrease the number of loops. The first 5-6 cm are reduced in every fourth row by eight loops. On the next 5-6 cm, we decrease 8 loops already in every second row. As a result, the narrow edge of the collar should be one third less than the wide one. After that, we close all the remaining loops. Then we align the edges of the product and tie them with a hook.

"Collar" as a whole with a dress or sweater

In this case, to start it, loops are drawn along the edge of the product. By the way, in this case we will have an inverted trapezoid, which means that the canvas will expand, not narrow. We begin to add loops already in the second row. In order for the canvas to expand evenly, we add 8-10 loops at once. Increases should be located at the same intervals. In order for the increases to be invisible, we make the increase as follows: we introduce the knitting needle into the weave of threads between the loops. Then we throw the thread on the knitting needle and stretch it back in the form of a loop. In the next row we knit this loop, like the rest. The first 5-6 times we add loops in every second row. Then the next 5-6 times we make increases in every sixth row. As a result, the number of loops should double. Then we knit 15-20 cm straight, without increasing the number of loops.

P.S from sinichca: In order for the collar to fit well in the product, it must be knitted in shape like a barrel, and not like a pipe. Those. we take knitting needles (hook) that differ by 0.5 mm - 3 pieces, we knit 1/3 of the collar height like this: we start with a smaller number, then go to a larger number, then we knit the middle - the second 1/3 of the collar height with the largest of the 3 selected knitting needles ( hooks), then we knit the third part as the first, only mirror (first the second, then the first) we finish with an elastic band - rows 3-4. Determine the knitting height according to the model and multiply it by 3. Good luck!

Historians say that our life develops in a spiral. Fashion critics fully agree with this statement. In other words, what is fashionable now was already in fashion several decades ago. Here again, in the new season, the long-forgotten collar collar came into fashion. At the same time, knitted collars are especially popular.
