If there is no pictogram or there is only “assorted” or “random color”, then any wishes in the comments may or may not be taken into account by the seller. This is what the color icons I mentioned look like; sometimes it makes sense to focus on the tooltip-caption for it, and not on what is shown in the picture.

Then, if instead of, for example, the blue one you chose, they send green or red, you have the right to open a dispute. But if instead of blue they send you blue or turquoise, the seller may be biased by the color rendition of your monitor screen (99% of products have this kind of clarification), and then winning the dispute will be extremely problematic.

In the case of haberdashery, clothing and some other categories of goods, in the dispute column we need, there is a separate item - “Color does not match the description.” We choose this as the reason for opening a dispute. In other cases, the item “Difference in color, design, size, material” will suit you.

Compensation for color mismatch rarely exceeds 50% of the cost of the product, but you can first indicate 100%, and then do a favor for the seller and reduce the size of the requirements.

In order to achieve complete mutual understanding with the seller (do not forget about differences in languages ​​and mentality), you need to be able to correctly file disputes. Even if you have all the evidence and the truth is on your side in any case, do not rush into fanfare. The ability to explain yourself is the key to a successful argument. And you will have to explain yourself in English (preferably).

Corresponding with Chinese sellers is a real art. Few people know that the Chinese very often speak and write in distorted English due to the fact that the grammar and semantic load of English is very different from Asian characters. If you are faced with an incomprehensible message that even Google translator interprets incoherently, try to translate each word separately, and then put them together into a logical combination.

You also cannot avoid recommendations regarding your own letters. If you speak English at a sufficient or at least intermediate level, problems in communication should not arise. If you don’t know the language well or don’t know it at all, feel free to use a dictionary or Google translit, but keep in mind a few warnings:

  1. Try not to use phraseological units, because... in Russian and English they do not have the same meaning. The translator sometimes interprets phraseological units and slangs as the literal meaning of the word, this can cause misunderstanding on the part of the seller.
  2. When describing a phone malfunction, avoid the word “defect”, because... a translator can translate this as “marriage.” To demonstrate the defect, use sentences that describe the specific condition of the product.
