Tantric sex is the highest form of love relationship. The difference between ordinary and tantric sex

There are many techniques aimed at self-development, so tantras can be attributed to them. Regular practices teach you to perceive and cognize your own body correctly, how to reveal your inner energy potential, how to get rid of negativity and achieve inner harmony.

What is tantra?

The technique or tool for expanding one's own consciousness is called tantra. This is a special culture that determines the relationship of man to the world. To expand the boundaries of perception, it is customary to use the energy of the chakras and in most cases it is sexual. Tantra is a way to gain some kind of strength or wealth in a short period of time.

Tantric techniques

There are a huge number of exercises aimed at correcting certain areas of life. It is recommended to conduct sessions in a warm room where it is worth lighting candles or incense. There are some simple exercises on how to practice tantra at home. It is important to note that the presented techniques can be used for various purposes, such as attracting love or improving financial situation.

  1. The simplest exercise with which you can unleash the inner energy potential, sexual attractiveness and just relax. It is necessary to sit in a comfortable position and begin to breathe deeply and evenly through the mouth, but not in the chest, but in the abdominal way.
  2. Another available tantra involves the use of visualizations. You should close your eyes and begin to imagine yourself in a place with which only warm and pleasant sensations are associated. Feel calm and serenity. Being in the world of illusion, a person can attract to himself the desired things in reality.
  3. The correct path of tantra implies the correct perception of one's own body, and for this it is recommended to sit naked in front of a mirror and carefully examine each part of your body, paying special attention to the intimate organs.

Tantra - energy management

To adjust their lives with the help of tantras, they use chakras - energy centers that are able to transform the energy entering them. The main chakra is located on the back of the head and it is responsible for the kundalini energy, which contains information from past incarnations. Energy tantra involves the use of meditations, diets, visualizations and a special worldview. In the initial stages, training may look like this:

  1. Sit in a comfortable position and relax using familiar meditation techniques.
  2. Concentrate on the chakra and imagine how a beam of energy enters it from space, saturating the body and expanding consciousness.

Tantra is the art of love

Relations between a man and a woman who are in a couple, according to tantric practices, should be based on respect and harmonious merging. Partners must perceive each other as higher beings. Tantra of love involves concentration on the love chakra, which is located in the region of the heart. There are techniques that can be used in pairs:

  1. Partners should sit opposite each other and their task is simply to touch different parts of the body, thus conveying their warm energy, tenderness and love.
  2. The next tantra implies the unity of lovers, for which you need to lie on your side and snuggle up to each other. It is important that the bodies are directed in the same direction and have the most identical posture. It is recommended to stay in this state for some time, taking slow breaths and exhalations, feeling like a single whole.

Tantra - the secrets of sexual ecstasy

It is believed that true pleasure can be obtained during tantric sex, the purpose of which is not to get an orgasm, but to concentrate on one's own feelings and emotions.

  1. Partners should be as relaxed as possible so that energy flows can freely interact with each other.
  2. Breathing is of great importance, due to which the connection of souls takes place. It should be deep and smooth. Experts recommend holding each other's hands during the process and focusing on the partner's breathing rhythm.
  3. Sexual tantra for women and men involves long caresses that allow you to explore the body of a partner and give him real pleasure.
  4. It is important to choose positions with maximum sexual contact.
  5. On the body of a man and a woman there are positive and negative poles, and if the former are stimulated correctly, then the attraction will increase. In a woman, the positive pole is in the chest and heart area, and in a man in the genital area. Negative poles, on the contrary.

Tantra of the left hand

All techniques are divided into right and left, and so the latter are aimed at improving consciousness and protecting against harmful mental processes. Practicing "left hand" tantra necessarily involves physical intercourse. The main goal is to invoke and hold the kundalini energy. The left hand tantra uses various sexual practices, meats and intoxications that the right hand tantra does not approve of.

Tantra and Christianity

When analyzed, common features can be found between tantric systems and Christian traditions. The closest tantra is considered to be Kashmir Shaivism, since the main school is called "Trika", which means "trinity", on which faith in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is based. Another similar feature is the coming to the fore of divine Grace as an important condition for the spiritual development and deification of a person. Meditation and prayer are similar in many ways. If we consider the opinion of the church, then tantra and Orthodoxy have nothing in common, and such a comparison is blasphemy.

Tantra - books

In bookstores you can find a huge amount of literature on the topic of tantric practices, for example, the following publications can be cited:

  1. "Tantric Love" by Sarita Ma Anand. This book presents modern tantra in the form of meditations developed by Master Osho. In addition, the secrets of breathing, massage and sex are revealed, which help to improve the quality.
  2. "Introduction to Tantra. Transformation of Desires” Lama Yeshe. Tantric teachings are presented by a great master and famous teacher of our time. By reading this book one goes through all the stages of the tantric art.

"Tantra"

Tantra (Skt. तन्त्र, tantra IAST, “connection, thread, sequence”) is an integral part of the Vajrayana schools associated with the practice of borderline states, enlightened states, death and intermediate states between death and the next birth (see bardo).

Tantra is understood as the practice of achieving the final result ("fruit") - the state of the Buddha.

Complex symbolism, yidams, meditations, mudras, yantras, and rituals are actively used in tantra.

Tantra classes, individual and collective, can only be carried out under the guidance of a guru - an experienced mentor (lama).

Some rituals and symbols look scary or repulsive to outsiders, so tantra requires a teacher's dedication and detailed explanations. The disclosure or popularization of the details of tantric practice is not accepted, the system of initiations is intended to protect the teachings from profanity, as well as to transmit the most important instructions and create a connection with the practitioner's lineage. The most important prerequisite for practicing tantra is taking the Bodhisattva vows, striving to save all living beings without exception from the suffering of samsara, and becoming a Buddha in order to help sentient beings.

Tantra is considered the shortest and at the same time the most dangerous path. It is very important for a tantric adept to find a good teacher, who must also be carefully checked. The very concept of "tantra" literally means "cohesion", in a figurative sense - "secret knowledge". Tantra is a method or path for attaining Enlightenment, helping the practitioner achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime, albeit with great effort. At the same time, the desire to achieve Enlightenment is rather altruistic, because, according to the teachings of the Mahayana in general and the Vajrayana in particular, the closer an entity is to Enlightenment, the more it seeks to help others who follow this path. The roots of Tantrism go back to pre-Aryan India, to the cult of the mother goddess, to the magic of the rural community, largely associated with sexual rituals.

The Tantric teaching grew out of these beliefs, taking as a basis the idea of the identity of the micro- and macrocosm, man and the universe, since everything is built up to the unity of two principles - female and male. Depending on which beginning is recognized as dominant, tantra is divided into "right" and "left". Tantra of the "right hand" dominates in India, it recognizes the leading masculine, active principle. In her rituals, the unity of the feminine and masculine is reproduced by real sexual intercourse. The tantra of the "left hand" is a Buddhist tantra, it recognizes the feminine as the leading principle, symbolizing wisdom. The fusion of both principles in the monastic tantra, of course, can only be symbolic. In the tantra of the “left hand”, a strong influence of Shaktism is felt, in which Devi, the wife of Shiva, serves as the object of worship. In this tantra, as in Shaivism, each male deity has his own divine consort, shakti, with whom he merges in eternal embrace.

The Tantric tradition claims that the gods become powerful and wise only through union with their shaktis. Shakti (female energy), prajna (transcendental wisdom) are a fusion of femininity and wisdom, merging in the form of Prajnaparamita, which, being originally a Mahayana text, is deified in tantra and becomes a deeply revered goddess, "the mother of all buddhas." "Like a mother leading a child to the road, Supreme Wisdom shows the Buddhas their best path." Wisdom, symbolized by the feminine principle, is considered immanently existing, poured into the world. The masculine principle is the method (“upaya”) through which wisdom is comprehended. The symbol of the method - vajra - is an attribute of a huge number of deities. Another feature of the "left hand" tantra is the presence of a large number of formidable deities, which are the embodiment of forces that transform negative emotions into wisdom; as well as an elaborate ritual of contemplation

Tibetan tantra includes four classes of tantras:

Tantra of action (Kriya-tantra), involving perfection through ritual

The tantra of fulfillment (charya tantra), in which ritual and meditation are recognized as equivalent

Yoga tantra based on yogic meditation

Highest Yoga Tantra (Anuttara Yoga Tantra), in the practice of which the main thing is the comprehension of the non-duality of the universe, the unity of opposite principles.

Shunya (emptiness) is the main tenet of Mahayana Buddhism. It means that the whole world is only the result of a causal chain, that it does not have a self-existent being. Therefore, there is no difference between beautiful and disgusting things: "external forms may appear good or bad, but they are all delusions of their own mind and in reality have no form of their own." “As for bliss and emptiness,” the 14th Dalai Lama said in one of his lectures, “there is an inseparable unity of wisdom that comprehends emptiness and a deep experience of bliss ... The significance of using bliss to realize the comprehension of emptiness is so great that many meditative the deities of the highest yoga tantra are depicted in intercourse. But, as I said, this bliss is very different from what is experienced in an ordinary sexual act. The depiction of yidams in intercourse with their female hypostasis - prajna - means that each principle personified in the image of a yidam has two sides - active and passive, and only their unity makes spiritual growth possible. Such images in Tibetan are called “yab-yum” (“father-mother”), their form goes back to Indian temple sculpture, reflecting the myths that God gains his true power only in unity with the shakti-wife.

The highest yoga tantra, accessible only to those monks who have reached a very high stage of spiritual development and are able to comprehend the true nature of things regardless of external manifestations, occupies an exclusive position in relation to a woman. If in all other Buddhist texts, be it Hinayana, Mahayana, or three other classes of tantras, women are considered incapable of achieving Enlightenment or in general beings that impede the achievement of Enlightenment, then in Anuttara Yoga Tantra a woman - the embodiment of prajna wisdom - is placed above a man. In many texts belonging to the Anuttara Yoga Tantra, such as the Vajrayogini Tantra, the main deity has a female form. “In the higher yoga tantras, such as the Guhyasamaja tantra, the possibility for a female practitioner to achieve complete enlightenment in one lifetime is openly and unconditionally recognized.” The supremacy of the feminine principle is also expressed in the fact that many deities (especially bodhisattvas) have a feminine appearance. Lotus - a symbol of wisdom-prajna - serves as a throne for all Buddhist gods: the feminine principle is the foundation of the foundations.

Question: Beloved Osho, the search for the highest is individual, but can you explain the importance of the role of the Beloved in Tantra and our search for ourselves?

Osho: It is very complicated and confusing, but it needs to be understood: if you are not in love, you suffer from loneliness. If you are in love, really in love, you become self-sufficient. Loneliness is sadness, self-sufficiency is not sadness. Loneliness is a feeling of inferiority. You need someone, and the one you need is not around. Loneliness is darkness, without a single ray of light. A dark house waiting for someone to come and turn on the light.

Self-sufficiency is not loneliness. Self-sufficiency is the feeling of being fulfilled. No one is needed, you are enough. And this feeling is possible only through love. Lovers become self-sufficient, through their love they touch their inner fulfillment. Love fills you. Lovers share with each other, not because they feel the need for it, but because the energy overflows them.

Two people who suffer from loneliness can make contact, can live together. They are not lovers, remember. They continue to suffer from loneliness. Now, because of the presence of the other, they don't feel alone - that's all. They deceive themselves. Their love is nothing but a trick to delude themselves: I am not alone, there is someone nearby. Since two people who suffer from loneliness meet, their loneliness is doubled, or even multiplied. This is how it usually happens.

You suffer from loneliness when you are alone with yourself, and when you are in a relationship you feel miserable. This is what you see every day. When people suffer from loneliness, they feel it and look for someone to get rid of loneliness. When they are in a relationship, then suffering begins; then they feel that it is better to be alone – this relationship is too hard for them. What is going on?

Two lonelinesses meet - this means that two gloomy, sad, unhappy people meet. Their suffering is multiplied. How can two ugliness become beauty? How can two lonelinesses walking side by side become a fullness, a totality? It's impossible. They exploit each other, they somehow try to deceive themselves through the other. But this deception will not lead to anything good. By the time the honeymoon is over, the marriage will be over too. These relationships are very short lived. It's just an illusion.

True love is not a search to get away from loneliness. True love is the transformation of loneliness into self-sufficiency. To help another, if you love a person, you will help him become self-sufficient. You don't fill him/her with yourself. You help the other to be self-sufficient, to be so filled with his/her own essence that you will not be needed.

When a person is absolutely free, then dialogue is possible out of this freedom. Then lovers give much to each other, but not because it is necessary to give; they give a lot to each other, but it doesn't seem like a good deal. Lovers give a lot to each other because they have something to give. They give because they enjoy it. Lovers are self-sufficient, and a truly loving person will not violate your self-sufficiency. You will always respect each other's self-sufficiency. It's sacred. Lovers keep their distance and do not violate this sacred space.

But usually, lovers, so-called lovers, are very afraid of each other, his/her self-sufficiency, his/her independence; they are very much afraid - because they think that if the other is independent, then they will not be needed, and then they will be abandoned. Therefore, a woman tries to make her husband remain dependent on her, so that she remains valuable to him. And also the husband tries in every way to make the woman need him, and he remains valuable. It's a deal
ah, and it is a constant conflict, a struggle. The struggle to win the freedom of another.

Love gives freedom, not only gives, butand amplifies it. Anything that takes away freedom is not love. It's something else. Love and freedom go together; they are like two wings of the same bird. Whenever you feel that your love is contrary to freedom - this means that this is not love, you only hide behind it.

Let this be your criterion: freedom as a criterion; love sets you free, makes you free, sets you free. And then, when you completely belong to yourself, you will feel gratitude to the person who helped you. This gratitude is almost religious. You feel something divine in the other person. He made you free, or she made you free, and love didn't become a possession.

When love is destroyed, it turns into possession, jealousy, power struggles, politics, domination, manipulation - a thousand and one nuances that are all ugly. When love soars high in the clear sky, it is freedom, absolute freedom. This is moksha - absolute freedom.

And now the question is:“The search for the highest is individual, but can you explain the importance of the role of the Beloved in Tantra and our search for ourselves?”

Tantra is love in its purest form. Tantra is a way of purifying love from everything that poisons it. When you are in love, I am talking about LOVE, your true love will help the other become whole. Your true love will have a cementing power for the other. In your love, the other will find inner harmony, because your love gives freedom; in the shadow of your love, under the protection of your love, another will begin to grow.

All growth needs love, unconditional love. If love sets conditions, then growth cannot be total, because those conditions become obstacles in its path. Love unconditionally. Don't ask for anything in return. A lot comes by itself. Don't be a beggar. In love, be an emperor. Just give and see what happens....it will come back a thousandfold. But this needs to be learned. Otherwise, you will remain a miser. Most often, they give a little, but expect a lot in return, and these expectations and hopes of yours destroy the whole beauty of love.

When you wait or expect something, the other feels that you are manipulating. He may or may not say it, but he will feel that you are manipulating. And when you feel that you are being manipulated, you want to rebel against it, because it is contrary to the needs of your soul, because any demand from the outside violates your integrity. Any demand from the outside divides you in half. Any demand from outside is a crime against you, because it pollutes your freedom. You are no longer sacred. You are no longer perfection itself - you have been used. And the most immoral thing in the world is to take advantage of someone.

Every being is a goal for itself. Love accepts you for who you are. You shouldn't have any expectations. Tantra is the highest form of love. Tantra is a science, the yoga of love.

So remember a few things. First: love, but not as a necessity, but as a dialogue. Love, but don't expect - come on. Love, but remember that your love should not be a prison for the other. Love, but be careful; you are "walking" on sacred ground. You enter the highest, purest, holiest temple. Be vigilant! Leave all the dirt outside the temple. When you love a person, love him like a god, no less. Never love a woman like a woman and a man like a man, because if you love a man like a man, your love is ordinary. Your love goes no further than lust. If you love a woman like a woman, your love will not soar in the clouds. Love a woman like a goddess, then love becomes freedom.

In Tantra, a man who wants to make love to a woman must worship her as a goddess for months. He must visualize the mother goddess in the woman. When the visualization becomes total, then there will be no lust at the sight of a naked woman sitting next to him, he will simply feel a shiver from the divine energy. There will be no lust, the woman herself will become divine, all thoughts will stop, and only reverence will remain - only then can he make love to her.

This sounds like an absurdity or a paradox. When you no longer need to make love, then you can make love. When a woman becomes a goddess, then a man can make love to her – because now love can soar high in the sky, love can reach its peak, its pinnacle. Now it will not be earthly love, will not be the love of this world; will not be the love of two bodies, but the love of two essences. It is the meeting of two existences. Two souls meet, merge, mix, and both will come out of it absolutely self-sufficient.
sharp.

Self-sufficiency means purity. Self-sufficiency means it's just you and no one else. Self-sufficiency means that you are the purest jewel, just gold and nothing else... just you. Love makes you self-sufficient. Loneliness will disappear, but self-sufficiency will appear.

Lovers are grateful that their love was accepted. They feel grateful because they were so overwhelmed with energy and they needed to pour it out on someone. When a flower blooms and spreads its fragrance to the winds, it is grateful to the wind - the fragrance got bigger and bigger and became heavy for it. It has become almost an unbearable burden. It's like a woman who is pregnant, nine months have already passed, and the child is not born. At this moment it is very difficult for her; she wants to give the baby to this world. This is the meaning of birth.

Until that moment, she had carried the child in her. It was her child. But now it's hard; she can no longer wear it. It must be given; the child must be given to the world. The mother has to give up her greed. The moment a child leaves the mother's womb, it no longer belongs to her alone; step by step he leaves her, and goes further and further away. He becomes part of this vast world. The same thing happens with a cloud full of rain and ready to pour rain, and when it rains, it rains, the cloud feels freed from this burden and happy and grateful to the thirsty earth, because it receives this rain.

There are two kinds of love. First: love, when you suffer from loneliness - as a necessity, you go to another. Second: when you do not suffer from loneliness, you are self-sufficient. In the first case, you go to get something, in the second, to give. The one who gives is the emperor.
Remember, Tantra is not ordinary love. It has nothing to do with lust. This is the greatest transformation of lust into love. The basic search is individual – but love makes you an individual. If it doesn't make you an individual, if it tries to make you a slave, then it's not love - it's hate pretending to be love. Pretending to be love, hate hides behind it and somehow it tries to control you by pretending to be love.

Such love kills, destroys your individuality. It allows you to be individual less and less. She pulls you down. You don't get better, you don't get attractive. You are dragged into the mud. And you start to feel like you're sinking into something dirty. Love should give freedom - never settle for less. Love should make you a white cloud, absolutely free, floating in the sky of freedom, without a single attachment. Love is not attachment, lust is.

Meditation and love are two ways to approach the individuality I am talking about. Both are very, very, very connected to each other. In fact, these are two sides of the same coin: love and meditation.

If you love deeply, step by step you will realize that your love is becoming more and more meditative. An elusive quality of silence enters you. Thoughts disappear, there are gaps of silence. You touch your depth.

Love makes you meditative if it is true love.
Meditation makes you loving, if that is true meditation.

And basically, in the world, there are two types of people: those who come to meditation through love, and those who come to love through meditation.
For those who come to meditation through love, this is the way of Tantra, this is their way. For those who come to love through meditation, this is Yoga, this is their way.

Tantra and Yoga are the only two ways - basic and very fundamental. But in both cases, you can go in the wrong direction if you don't get them right. So the criterion is – listen – if you meditate and it doesn't become love, know that you are going nowhere. You will find 99 yogis out of 100 who go the wrong way. The more they go into their meditation, the further they are from love. In fact, they are afraid of love. They begin to think of love as a distraction. Then their meditation is not real. Meditation from which love does not emerge is not meditation at all. This is a departure from reality, this is not growth. It is like if a seed is afraid to become a plant and a flowering flower, and afraid to spread its fragrance in the air, the seed will become miserable.

You will find such yogis all over India. Their meditation did not blossom. Their meditation somewhere stopped halfway. They got stuck. You won't see gratitude on their faces, you won't see wisdom in their eyes. You will feel an atmosphere of boredom and stupidity around them. You will not find them alert, aware, alive. They are dead....because if you are alive, you will become loving. Avoiding love is avoiding life.

And these people run away to the Himalayas, somewhere where they can be alone. It won't be self-sufficiency, it will be loneliness - you can read it on their faces. They are unhappy in their loneliness. On their faces you will see the anguish - what nonsense! – as if they are sacrificing themselves. Ego you will find there; not humility, because when humility comes, then love also comes. When the ego becomes too strong, then love is destroyed completely. Ego is the antonym of love.

Yoga is in the hands of the wrong people. And the same thing happens with Tantra. Under the name of Tantra, people simply began to satisfy their lust, sex and perversions. She never becomes meditative. It has become a valid excuse for lust, sex and passion. It became a ruse; you can hide behind it. Tantra has become a front for all kinds of perversions.

So remember. The man is very cunning. He destroyed yoga, he destroyed Tantra. Stay vigilant! They are both very good, they are extremely healing, but it should be remembered that if you do one correctly, the second follows the first like a shadow. If it doesn't, then you're going in the wrong direction.
Step back, start over. Go into your mind, analyze your mind. Somewhere you deceived yourself. And it is not difficult - because you can deceive others, but you cannot deceive yourself. It's impossible. If you just look within and observe, you will find where you have deceived yourself. Nobody can deceive himself, it is impossible. How can you deceive yourself?

Tantra

Tantra is the most ancient system of self-improvement that has come down to us, where the energy of desire is not suppressed, but is consciously used for healing, longevity and spiritual development.
Tantra is a doctrine, practice, a tool for expanding consciousness.

modern medicine known relationship of sexual energy with the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Sexual energy stimulates their function, has an impact on physical and intellectual development, on behavior, on the perception of reality. This means there is a direct connection between sexuality and spirituality.

In Sanskrit, Tantra literally means- loom. In a symbolic sense, this is a doctrine that pairs the material with the ideal, the corporeal with the spiritual, the rational with the irrational, the masculine with the feminine, Yin with Yang. This pairing occurs as the interweaving of warp and weft threads in the production of fabric.

The root tan means- to explain, to expound, to interpret, to expand, to blossom, to flourish, to spread. TRA means tool. Hence Tantra is a tool that expands the field of consciousness, to achieve superconsciousness, to comprehend the fundamental foundations of being. "Tantra" also means an experimental, practical method that allows you to expand a person's abilities, to go beyond their capabilities.

In a broader sense Tantra means books or any literature leading to the expansion of consciousness, according to its doctrine. In other words, it is nothing more than just a "book", a practical book. Tantra is that which contains information, knowledge, philosophy and various techniques. This is a synopsis, treatise or presentation of various kinds of spiritual and occult knowledge.

According to the most common version, confirmed by archaeological data, Tantra arose on the Hindustan peninsula, on the site of present-day India among the peaceful indigenous population during matriarchy. This was long before the Aryan tribes from the north came to the place where modern India is located and conquered the indigenous Dravidian population. The most ancient written sources of Tantra that have survived to this day date from the middle of the first millennium BC. e., although Tantra has existed for at least three thousand years.

Archaeological data indicate that the peoples of the Hindustan Peninsula had a connection with the ancient Egyptian civilization. Egyptian isoteric symbols are found along with ancient sculptures on the Hindustan Peninsula. At the same time, in Egyptian works of art, one can find the symbolism of Kundalini and the energy channels of Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. The level of civilization where Tantra originated was very high. They owned the secret of the atomic nucleus, lived in big cities with running water and sewerage. Their agriculture was irrigated. The legends preserved the mention of how the white Aryan tribes who came from the north destroyed the irrigation facilities of the “natives”.

Aryan tribes brought local population rigid patriarchy and caste system. They were assigned to the sudra or servant caste. But a legend has been preserved that the daughter of the king of the Aryans, Sita, fell in love with the black Dravidian god Shiva, and they took him to themselves, connecting Shiva to the pantheon of their gods. And not just connected. They made him equal in status to their main gods - Brahma and Vishnu.

Apparently, there was a mixture of two different cultures, the northern Aryan and the indigenous southern Dravidian, as is always the case with a mixture of peoples. Part of the Dravidian culture blended into Aryan life, part changed, and part went underground or emigrated to other countries. Many believe that the wisdom of modern India is concentrated in the Vedas. But Tantra and Yoga are older than the Vedas. The Vedas are the creations of the already patriarchal Aryan civilization. In the Aryan civilization, the native Dravidians were given the role of Shudras or servants. The culture of the Dravidians suffered greatly. Naturally, the real Tantra went underground. There was a time when the Tantrikas could not openly use their terminology and call a spade a spade. Intricate alchemical terminology appeared, which brought confusion to the heads of later followers.

Today, most of the population of India Tantra includes all non-Vedic doctrines and cults. This indicates the antagonism of the Aryan, Brahmin-Vedic culture and Tantra.

The main position of Tantra is that you are now, at this moment, perfect as a God, perfect as a Goddess!

The end result of human development in Tantra is taken as the initial premise. It can be said that the ultimate goal of human individual evolution is enlightenment, the attainment of Buddhahood, the return to one's source, to God. This can happen when a person develops positive, divine spiritual qualities and gets rid of negative ones, such as greed, envy, jealousy, ignorance and ego. And if the followers of various esoteric doctrines of self-development strive for this all their lives, then the Tantrikas take the future result of spiritual evolution as the beginning of their path. Tantrikas at this moment should think, speak and act as if they already have all these qualities, as if they already now are perfect beings.

You are now, at this moment, a perfect being, God, Goddess or Jiva Mukti.

It seems that if we act now, realizing that every man and every woman is perfect by nature, then all our relationships and daily life will change radically. The health of the body and mind also depends on how a person sees himself. If we think badly of ourselves, then we can hardly hope for the opportunity to become happy.

Tantra is a powerful method to find yourself, bring out the best in us. If we see ourselves as pure and beautiful, then we, as it were, open ourselves to those internal beneficial forces that are inside us and around us.

According to the Tantric tradition, a person who is not aware of himself as a divine essence cannot truly worship a deity.

Key of Tantra is the complete liberation from the sense of ego and the dissolution of oneself in God.

Partner in Tantra it is a model or personification of a deity.

The path of Tantra is the most effective and is effective in our rough, “iron age”, the age of Kali Yuga, when injustice and violence are at every turn. Through the lips of God Shiva, the father of Yoga and Tantra, the ancient writings of Maha Nirvana Tantra say:

“Without the path of Tantra, there is no other path in the Kali Yuga.”

This is how the ancient texts of Tantra described the coming Kali Yuga, our time, the Iron Age, the age of lack of spirituality, cruelty and violence.

“People will be smitten with envy. They will be impatient, they will not realize what they are doing, their desires will be wrong, their knowledge will lead to a dead end. Heads of state will mostly be of low birth, tyrants and dictators. Thieves will become kings and kings will become thieves... Criminal structures will be in towns and villages. The ritual of Tantra will be a great secret.”

All techniques, all rituals, all the efforts of the tantriks are aimed at realizing the basic idea of the doctrine of the divine nature of man.

Tantra does not bypass sharp corners, the tantrik does not hide behind the leg of a chair. In Tantra, it is customary to work with our strongest instincts, with the strongest feelings, with the most powerful energy, with the energy of creation and creation, with the energy of pleasure, with the energy of love and with the energy of suffering, with the energy of bitterness of defeat, disappointment and loss, with our main life force - sexual energy.

Tantra accepts everything. It is the unity of everything, it is the Yoga of everything. Tantra is a tool and technique on the path of spiritual growth.

There are indeed many techniques in the Tantra tradition using sexual energy. But most of them have nothing to do with erotica, in our understanding. Tantra is, first of all, a way to “be and feel”, and not to think, calculate, calculate, compare, compare, imagine, weigh, split. In Tantra, the real life is “here and now”, all-encompassing, unified, enthusiastic and tragic.

On the one hand, Tantra is a tradition, a system of views on the world, on a person, on love, on the other hand, Tantra is a tool and techniques for achieving an understanding of this doctrine. The sexual union of a woman and a man in Tantra serves to comprehend the universal unity and overcome duality. The sexual partner in Tantra is the personification of the deity.

The Tantric tradition claims that women initially, from birth endowed with spiritual qualities to a greater extent than men. Women also have much more sexual energy than men. For a tantrika, a woman is not an object of desire and pleasure, but an incarnation of the Goddess, the Goddess herself, the Absolute Woman, the Cosmic Mother.

deification of a woman, this is a symbolic deification of the entire feminine principle. This includes Kundalini - the sacred force of life, the energy of creation, sexual energy. Tantra includes sex in its sacred ritual, because sex is an integral part of life. All those who deny this are out of real life.

Awakening of the hidden, dormant in every person, universal, divine power, the energy of the Holy Spirit called Kundalini, is the core of the teachings of Tantra. Many serious researchers believe that the awakened Kundalini lies at the heart of the mystical experience of Christ and other spiritual teachers of mankind.

Ancient rishis, Indian saints and prophets, said that it is passion or sexual energy that is transformed into love for God. And this love can be expressed in different ways. Some love God as a Father, others as a Mother, still others as a Friend, Husband or Beloved.

Sexual life, according to Tantra, has three goals: procreation, physical pleasure and the highest spiritual pleasure (Samadhi). The last goal is chosen by the tantric yogi, who is devoid of sexual prejudice and uses sex as a means of awakening the Kundalini as part of his practice.

Debates about what is whether Tantra is a part of Yoga or Yoga is a part of Tantra does not make sense. In their origins, Tantra and Yoga were a single doctrine and a single practice. The Dravidian black god Shiva was the father of both Yoga and Tantra. Their artificial separation began with the arrival of the Aryans and the enslavement of women. It is known that the awakening of Kundalini is the pinnacle of comprehension in Yoga, although the doctrine of Kundalini was developed in Tantra. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali do not even mention the term Kundalini. Even the name "Hatha Yoga" contains the meaning of Tantra. “Ha” and “Tha” mean the same as the Taoist “Yin” and “Yang” - the universal male and female principles. “Yoga” means unity. In Tantra Yoga, through the sexual unity of a man and a woman, the state of the total unity of the Universe is comprehended, the state of unity with God is comprehended.

Traditionally, Tantra is divided into two major areas. Vama Marga or Tantra of the left hand and Dakshina Marga or Tantra of the right hand. For a modern Western man, the watershed between the left-handed and right-handed Tantra is the ritual sexual contact of a man and a woman - Maithuna and the use of power plants in this. In the left hand Tantra they are used naturally, as they are, on the physical and energetic level. In the Tantra of the right hand, interaction is possible only on the mental and energy levels.

Was there always division Tantras on the left and right? No not always. This is an invention of the Aryan civilization. Aryans who came from the north, light-skinned conquerors brought their gods and their religion. The Dravidian Tantra has become dirty, wrong, leftist. And in the eyes of many contemporaries, Tantra is dirty, rough, reminiscent of black magic. It deals with fish, meat, wine, corpses, even sacrifice. In modern India, a left-handed person is dirty for one simple reason. Hindus don't use toilet paper like Muslims. They are washed (if there is water) with the left hand. Therefore, you can not touch food with your left hand. The left hand is always dirty, even if it is washed with soap afterwards. In India, handing a banana to someone with your left hand would be considered the greatest insult.

But there is another opinion. In all religious rituals, in all temples of India, women and men sit separately. Women on the left, men on the right. Until now, in many cities in India, men and women enter different doors of buses. Yoga teachers brought this custom with them to the West. In some ashrams, even in the meditation and Hatha yoga halls, the men sit to the right and the women to the left of the altar or the teacher. And it's not just a tradition. It turns out that the symbolic image of the unity of the feminine and masculine principles in the God-man or in God is exactly the same. God Shiva, the father of Yoga and Tantra, is often portrayed as an androgen. The left half of the body is female, the right male.

This is why the left-handed Tantra or Vama Magra of the Rigveda is the cult of the feminine, the worship of the feminine God. So it was originally, at the origins of Tantra under matriarchy, when women and men were equal, when society lived in peace and harmony. Then, in a patriarchal society, when private property arose, men began to dominate, everything feminine was mixed with dirt. The worship of male gods began. That is why the left-sided Tantra became wrong, dangerous, risky, in a word, “left”. However, nowadays most Tantrikas revere the feminine aspect of the deity, Shakti or the Holy Mother. At the same time, there are tantric traditions where a male deity is worshiped in the person of Shiva, Vishnu or Krishna. The masculine principle is willpower, self-control and self-control. The beauty of nature is associated with the feminine principle. Forest, flowers, mountains, ocean, sky are perceived in Tantra as a manifestation of the feminine divine principle.

In fact, left-handed Tantra is a preference or worship of the universal feminine and the deification of a woman. Right-handed Tantra favors the masculine. The deity has no gender, but the perfect being or Jiva Mukti harmoniously combines both the feminine and the masculine.

It is necessary to distinguish Tantra as an isoteric system of spiritual development and expansion of consciousness, and Tantrism as a kind of Eastern religion.

The pinnacle of achievements in Tantra in both directions is the awakening and rise of Kundalini, the mystical, mysterious power of transformation that lies dormant in each of us. Here is how the authority in the field of Yoga and Tantra, the founder of the Bihar School of Yoga, the master of Kundalini, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, writes about this:

“Vama Marga, or Left Hand Tantra, where sexual energy is used to awaken the Kundalini. Dakshina Marga, or the Tantra of the right hand, does the same, only without sexual contact. Before, when sex life was strictly regulated, people preferred Dakshina Marga. Now, when the barriers of inhibitions are breaking down, most people follow the path of Vama Marga, combining sexual life with spiritual aspirations.

The practice of Maithuna (a secret ritual involving sexual contact) is one of the easiest and most effective ways to awaken the Kundalini. Man and woman represent positive and negative energy, time and space. Carrying polar forces within themselves, a man and a woman approach each other until an explosion occurs, giving birth to matter. This is the main meaning of tantric initiation. When making tantric love, the energy that arises between lovers is less important, and the process of directing this energy to higher centers is more important. If sexual interaction between a man and a woman takes place according to tantric laws, it has a beneficial effect on the spiritual development of both. In order to direct the energy upwards to awaken the higher spiritual centers, it is important for a man to hold the seed or bindu, and for a woman to be able to concentrate on a point in the cervix, just behind its opening, and stretch the time of her orgasm using the Sahajoli technique.”

Today, as in all times of the Kali Yuga, a rigid patriarchy, the followers of Tantra of the right hand strive to follow religious guidelines, the rules of behavior in society. In the Tantra of the left hand, deviations from the rules or their special violation are possible. The right hand tantra includes meditation, work with mantras and yantras, and requires following the existing social morality in all actions. Tantra of the right hand for those who follow the path of Bhakti. Tantra of the left hand is for the strong and courageous, for those who have an explosive, heroic temperament.

In fact, not only ritual sex, but many other techniques of left-sided Tantra are associated with a violation of the rules, traditions, the existing order of things. This is, as it were, everything that is done with the left hand, when the main, working, correct hand is the right one. On the right is what is according to the rules, familiar, familiar and acceptable. On the left - that which goes beyond the rules, customs, habits, standards and conventions. The left hand tantra is the path of rapture and ecstasy. The Tantra of the right hand is the path of silence. Yoga with a partner, meditation, work with a subtle energy body, with yantras and mantras, dissolution in God, or ritual sexual contact and a fierce desire for God at any cost, a matter of choice, taste and inclinations of the seeker.

Perhaps faithful believers can succeed by going the right way, or the right way. Heroes can go "through", using forbidden, or "left" tricks. In our conditions, in our time, the path of Vama Magra, the path of left-sided Tantra, can be followed by those who have matured to the idea of using sexual energy for spiritual development, those for whom sexual attraction is not a sin, but a natural pleasure inherent in a person created in the image and likeness of God . For yogis or warriors who are able to control and stop the flow of consciousness, for honest and open to new things, it does not really matter what techniques are used. They can use both right and left path techniques. Moreover, they can discard all techniques and simply give themselves to their deity or the Holy Spirit. This is called the direct or divine path.

Under the pressure of a rigid religious ideology, at all times of the patriarchy, the teachings of Tantra were persecuted. The doctrine has gone underground. The fact that the teachings of Tantra or its main ideas appeared as an independent discovery at different times and among different peoples indicates that it is based on a concept that corresponds to the truth of life and the Universal laws. Thus, for example, esoteric Christianity, Kabbalah and Sufism are permeated with the ideas of Tantra. There is real evidence that the secret teaching of Christ is the teaching of Kundalini.

There is a paradox. Can be for life“doing Tantra” or talking about Tantra and not knowing what Tantra is. You can practice Kundalini yoga all your life and not have the experience of Kundalini. At the same time, you can experience Kundalini or jump into the “state of Tantra” by getting a kick in the ass at the right time in the best traditions of Zen, for example, at the “Open Forum” training. Even if you resist very much, you will still be forced to “turn off your personal computer”. You will jump out of the framework of your own perception, from the framework of an artificial, limited, illusory world, from the world of Maya, and you will find yourself in the real world, where you can no longer hide behind the nonsense that you let loose on yourself. You become completely transparent to others and seer at the same time. You begin to live and act, love and suffer, be and feel, and not calculate, plan and calculate, compare, contrast, represent, weigh and split.

The position of Tantra Yoga is known that that you are part of the whole and the whole itself at the same time. But this remains at the level of a slogan or intellectual reasoning for many lifelong practitioners of Yoga. And here, if you don’t come to this state, you simply won’t be able to complete the next task.

Some teachers deliberately avoid pronouncing the word "Tantra" and do not advertise their belonging to the tantric tradition, such as Paramahansa Yogananda. Others, on the contrary, use this term on purpose. There are even trainings where the word "Tantra" is used as a "working title", meaning a monthly gathering of horny like-minded people, put on the needle of pleasure by a skilled manipulator.

Under pressure from Brahmanism Tantra integrated with Buddhism and emigrated to China. Its fusion with the teachings of the Tao gave Taoist yoga. Taoist yoga is practically the Chinese version of Tantra. Many Tantra techniques for controlling and sublimating sexual energy came to us through it. Nowadays, more and more people are coming to the need to integrate Yoga and Tantra. Individually, they simply cannot give the full effect that they are capable of. And this opinion is not only tantrics. Thus, a well-known teacher and professor of Ayurveda in the USA, Vasand Lad, writes in his textbook “Ayurveda - the science of self-healing”:

“In the spiritual evolution of man, Ayurveda is the basis or foundation, Yoga is the body, and Tantra is the head. Ayurveda, Yoga and Tantra form an interdependent trinity of life. None of these practices can be separated from the other. The health of the body, intellect and consciousness depends on the knowledge and practice of this trinity in daily life.

The goal of each of these practices is longevity, rejuvenation and self-realization.”

Tantra does not place as much emphasis on reincarnation as Yoga does. For the Tantrics, the present is more important than the past and the future. And for each of us, life is here and now.

Comparing modern volitional Yoga of Patanjali and Tantra, we can say that Yoga is the path of a warrior, the path of strength, self-control and work. Tantra is the path of love, self-sacrifice, self-giving, dissolution of the ego. Tantra is the path to God through love, delight, self-giving, joy, spontaneity, self-realization through awareness and sensations of one's inner divine essence. Yoga is a movement towards God through work, efforts, exercises. We can say that Yoga is a system of survival, and Tantra is life. Yoga fights desire. Tantra uses the energy of desire on the path of self-realization and movement towards God. Yoga often deals with the physical body, Tantra with the subtle, inner energy body. Yoga is a science. Tantra is art. Yoga is something rational, systemic, Tantra is irrational, spontaneous. The version of power yoga practiced by most of our fellow citizens in the west often increases the sense of ego rather than diminishes it.

Unfortunately for many in the West, these days Yoga is associated with static postures of the physical body, and Tantra is associated with the techniques of making love. In fact, Yoga without Tantra turns into exercises for the physical body, and Tantra without Yoga turns into sex. Both are good in their own way. Just keep in mind that Lord Shiva is the father of both Yoga and Tantra. And if it seems to someone that it is possible to separate Yoga from Tantra or Tantra from Yoga and successfully practice one or the other, then this is a delusion.

By adopting the ideas of Tantra and practicing her techniques, a man and a woman go beyond ordinary sensations and experiences. Any touch of your beloved or partner acquires new feelings and sensations, which simply do not exist in ordinary earthly love. The experience of cosmic love can no longer be described in words. Having experienced this, a person rises to another level of being. It is believed that in the process of the tantric ritual, which takes place already in an altered state of consciousness, images of deities arise, which, once appearing, remain forever. Enlightenment, once manifested, also remains and no longer leaves the one who has achieved it. Gods, or guardian angels, constantly accompany a person in this life.

Tantric ritual sex:

Naturally, conception is not the goal of tantric sex, therefore, the formation of couples in tantric ritual sex is not limited by any age limits. Direct sexual contact is not accelerated, but prolonged. Orgasm is not an end in itself. This is just a certain stage of contact, at which everything does not end. It's not a dot at the end of a sentence, but a comma somewhere in the middle of it. At the same time, there can be quite a lot of such punctuation marks in a “compound sentence”.

By accepting the ideas of Tantra and mastering its basic techniques, women can forget about frigidity, and men about impotence.

Question: What is the difference between ordinary and tantric sex?

Osho: Your sexual act and tantric sex are fundamentally different. Your sexual act is a release of energy; it looks like a good sneeze. The energy is released and you feel relieved. It is destructive, it is not creative. From a therapeutic point of view, this is good. It helps you relax, but nothing more. Tantric sex is fundamentally diametrically opposed. This is not a release, this is not an outburst of energy. Here one must refrain from ejaculation, from the release of energy; here you merge into one - from the beginning, not at the end.

It changes the quality of sex, then the quality is totally different. Try to understand two things. There are two kinds of peak, two kinds of orgasm. One kind of orgasm you know. You reach the peak of pleasure, then you can't move on: and the end comes. Excitation reaches a point where orgasm becomes involuntary. Energy rises in you and goes out. You are freed from it, you feel relieved. The load is off, you can relax and fall asleep. You use it as a tranquilizer. This is a natural tranquilizer: after it you sleep well - if your mind is not loaded with religion. Otherwise, even the tranquilizer does not work. Only then can sex be sleepy if your brain is not filled with religion. If you feel guilty, even your sleep is disturbed. Depression will come, you will blame yourself and take an oath that this will not happen again. Then your dream will become a nightmare.

If you are not heavily burdened by religion or morality, then sex will become a sleeping pill for you. This is one kind of orgasm - to reach the peak of pleasure. Tantra is based on a different kind of orgasm. If we call the first kind of orgasm the peak orgasm, then you can call the tantric orgasm the "deep orgasm." With it, you do not reach the peak of pleasure, you achieve the deepest relaxation. Excitation is present in both cases from the very beginning. Therefore, I say that the beginning is the same for both, but the end is completely different.

Excitation is present in both cases from the very beginning: whether you reach the peak of excitement or the valley of relaxation. In the first case, the excitement must be intense - more and more intense. In the second, arousal is the beginning. And once the man has entered, both lovers can relax. You don't have to make any movement. They can relax in a loving embrace.

When a man or woman feels that the erection is gone, only then a slight movement and excitement appears again. But then relaxation comes again. You can extend this deep embrace for several hours without ejaculation, and then both fall into a deep sleep. It is THIS - "deep orgasm". Both are relaxed and they meet like two relaxed people. During an ordinary sexual orgasm, you meet as two excited beings - tense, full of excitement, trying to "unload" themselves. Ordinary sexual orgasm is like insanity; tantric orgasm is a deep, relaxing meditation.

You may not be aware of it; but it is a fact of biology, of bioenergy, that man and woman are opposite poles. Negative-positive, yin-yang, call it what you will, they challenge each other. And when they meet in deep relaxation, they fill each other with vital energy. And when they fill each other with vital energy, they both become generators, they both feel more alive, and nothing is lost. Just by meeting the opposite pole, the energy is renewed.

Tantric intercourse can last as long as you want. Ordinary sexual intercourse cannot last as long as you want, because in it you lose energy and your body needs time to recover. And when you restore them, you again lose energy. This looks absurd. The whole life is spent on recovery and loss: it's like an obsession. The second thing to remember is that you may never have noticed, never analyzed the fact that if you look at animals, you will never see them enjoying sex. During intercourse they do not enjoy each other.

Look at baboons, monkeys, dogs or other animals. During sex you won't see them blissful or enjoying it - you won't see. This is just a mechanical act, they are pushed to this by the force of nature. If you see monkeys during sex, then after it they just diverge in different directions. Look at their faces: there is no ecstasy on them, as if there was nothing. When the energy pushes them, when there is too much of it, then they throw it out.

Such is the ordinary sexual act, although the moralists say otherwise. They say, "Don't satisfy your desires, don't enjoy." They say, "Only animals do that." But it's not! Animals don't enjoy sex. Only man can enjoy. And the deeper your pleasure, the higher your humanity. If your sex act becomes meditative, ecstatic, then the highest will be affected. But remember Tantra: it is a deep orgasm, it is not a peak experience. This is a deep experience!

In the West, Abraham Maslow coined the term "peak experience"very popular. You go into enjoyment to the very peak, and then you fall. Therefore, after sex, you feel empty. And it's natural, you're falling from the top. But you will never feel that after tantric sex. Then you don't fall. You can't fall any lower because you're already in the valley. On the contrary, you can only go up.

When you come out of tantric sex, you feel a rise, not a fall. You feel full of energy, more alive, more vital, radiant. And this ecstasy lasts for hours, even days. It depends on how deep you were in it. If you move into it, sooner or later you will feel that ejaculation is a waste of energy. It's not necessary - unless you want children. And after tantric sex, you will feel relaxed all day.
