Step-by-step process for completing the work:

Let's start making the cockerel. We take the template of the body and trace it onto porous rubber of the desired color. In the same way, trace the head of the cockerel, wings, paws, beak and comb according to the template. To make the souvenir double-sided, we outline the details in duplicate.

We glue the blanks: body, wings, legs, comb, beak.

Let's start assembling our cockerel: we glue the wings to the body. A little advice: we make the wings shorter and glue them to the body, joint to joint. Then we glue the paws on the body.

We glue the head at the top and put it on the body, carefully gluing it. Next we glue the comb (we also make it shorter than on the template and glue it tightly to the head).

The final stage is gluing the beak, beard and eye.

Depending on the structure and density of the material, it is used to create different products. For example, to make flowers and decorations, you need to choose foamiran of a uniform structure without visible holes. Despite the name “porous rubber,” the fewer pores on the surface of the fomiran, the easier it is to work with.

How to work with porous rubber.

Very simple, but not very fast. The fact is that by cutting out the workpiece with scissors or a figured hole punch, you need to give the flat sheet of foamiran volume. And this can be done using heat treatment. To do this, foamiran is rubbed in the palms so that when the palms rub, heat is generated and the material becomes more pliable. After this simple technique, the foamiran blank is stretched, bent, and, in general, given the required volume. The EVA background stretches by 10%, the structure of the material allows it to be bent, twisted, twisted, and all impacts on the rubber can be either corrected or preserved.
