Of course, this review will focus on the best natural soap from those that I tried. But I tried different ones: Russian, foreign, industrially produced, and handmade. And in composition and properties, they are all inferior to the hero of this review.

More precisely, not even the hero, but the heroes, since this manufacturer has quite a few types of soap. And they are truly 100% natural (without even the slightest chemical impurities), made from vegetable oils, including certified organic ones. And they can be bought in the online store.

We are talking about brand soap Nubian Heritage. And here's what I'll tell you next:

Update: Unfortunately, with the change in the design of their products, Nubian Heritage also changed the formulas. Now the composition of most of their soap looks less natural (although this does not mean that now it is not so, but it just confuses me), and, besides, the smell has become too strong - the essential oils have been replaced with fragrance. Moreover, the data on iHerb has not yet been updated everywhere - there is a surprise in the package. At the moment, only the following types are sold with the same composition: with lavender and wildflowers, with carrots and pomegranate - these are the only ones I order now. Well, I’m in the process of searching for a new, completely satisfying, 100% natural soap. If you can recommend something, write in the comments.

Types of Nubian Heritage soap, their composition and description

Last time I bought this pair:

The first is Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Soap with Neem Oil.

The second is “Lemongrass & Tea Tree Soap with Orange Peel” (clicking on the link will take you to its page on iHerb).

Both contain only natural plant ingredients.

It’s hard to see, plus it’s in English, so I’ll translate it.

Soap "Indian hemp and Haitian vetiver" consists of: shea butter*, coconut oil* and/or palm oil, hemp oil, vetiver, neem oil, vegetable glycerin, mineral pigment or vegetable color, natural flavor and/or essential oil.

Lemongrass and Tea Tree Soap contains the following ingredients: shea butter*, coconut oil* and/or palm oil, cocoa butter*, lemongrass oil, tea tree oil, vegetable glycerin, orange peel, tocopherol (vitamin E), orange oil, mineral pigment or vegetable color, natural flavor and/ or essential oil.

In both soaps, oils marked with an asterisk are certified organic.

I tried everything except goat milk soap and Ivorian soap. I'm going to order peppermint with my next package. And for some reason the latter contains all sorts of components that are not in the others, including tetrasodium EDTA, tetrasodium etidronate. Perhaps they are also natural and derived from plants, but I prefer to use soap without such additional ingredients. Moreover, this is the latest soap from this company to appear on sale. I don’t know why they decided to do this. But I also bought it once (when I hadn’t yet carefully studied the ingredients) - I didn’t particularly remember anything.

All other types of soap are wonderful. Tried them all. But in the end I chose only a few for myself: in addition to the ones I have now (“Lemongrass and tea tree” and “Indian hemp and Haitian vetiver”), I also sometimes order the 2nd, 5th and 6th options from list above. For some reason, these particular types are washed off more slowly than others (I can’t say anything about goat and chocolate). All the others somehow get soaked more easily if they lie in water (if, for example, water is poured into the soap dish). But the ones I chose are more resistant to water and stronger. They really last for a very long time, and they provide foam and clean just as well.

However, the most fragrant ones are coconut with papaya and mango. You can just buy them for the smell, even if they wash off a little faster.

How I use Nubian Heritage Soap. What is it suitable for?

First, I’ll clarify that in terms of “who” this soap is for – it seems to me that it’s for everyone – for women and men of any age. I don’t see any problems in using Nubian soap for children and infants - it contains no harmful additives, no fragrances, no chemical dyes and fragrances. And in general, in terms of composition, it is head and shoulders above the “natural baby” soap that is sold in our stores.

Now about the “why”.

For body

Definitely suitable. I’ve been washing with it exclusively for about 3 years now. It’s never dried anything out (not a single type of this soap) or irritated me. It washes perfectly, rinses off perfectly, and leaves a light pleasant scent on the skin.

For face

This is where many brands of soap have a problem. But not Nubian Heritage! My facial skin is quite sensitive, plus my forehead and nose are prone to oiliness. So, Nubian soap remarkably eliminates oily skin, without drying it out or causing any irritation. In general, it’s just the thing for washing!

For washing hair

In principle, you can wash your hair with Nubian soap - there will be no trouble if you do this once or twice as necessary. But with regular washing of my hair, I personally began to develop dry dandruff. Therefore, it is not very suitable as a complete replacement for shampoo.

Although personally, I managed to move away from all shampoos altogether in the end. And the once oily seborrheic skin of my scalp finally became normal and clear, the dandruff disappeared, my hair became strong, good-looking and fell out much less. I’ll definitely tell you about the method someday.

For shaving

For shaving your face, I mean. Here, unfortunately, even Nubian Heritage soap failed - if you lather your face with it and shave, then an unpleasant tightening effect occurs. However, fortunately, later I managed to find it, so I calmed down on this topic.

As laundry soap

No problem! I use Nubian soap as a laundry soap when I need to wash something small - socks, underpants, etc., or to remove a stain on something. Does a good job! 🙂 Well, it turns out to be very convenient - you don’t have to protect the skin of your hands, as when using regular laundry soap.

Comparison of Nubian Heritage with other brands of natural soap on iHerb and in Russia

As for other brands of soap on iHerb, I bought a couple of them - those that are also completely natural in composition. In terms of quality and properties, Nubian is superior to them. Plus it has the correct alkaline pH (about 8.5-9), but I don’t know about others.

True, I ordered soap from other companies at the very beginning of my purchases on iHerb. Since then, one of them, I see, has completely disappeared from iHerb. In addition, all sorts of other brands appeared. And some of them are more interesting in price than Nubian Heritage. However, Nubian soap is so wonderful that you don’t even want to try anything else. Well, I’m not the only one who liked it so much - there are thousands of satisfied reviews about it on iHerb.

From Russian 100% natural soap, I tried several types from "Samovar" and some from Yuri Frolov. It was simply impossible to wash your face with “samovar” - the skin immediately dried out, tightened and tingled.
