Penguin from a plastic bottle: master class

1. First we need a bottle. If you use a standard plastic bottle, for example, an oil bottle, the penguin will turn out very thin. It is better to use “pot-bellied” bottles. A penguin toy from such a plastic bottle will turn out large and beautiful:

The color of the bottle is not at all important, since it will be completely covered with opaque paint.

2. Cut the bottles in half and leave the bases.

From two bottle halves you will get one cute little penguin.

3. Now glue the two halves together.

4. Now the fun begins. First, we need to cover the resulting workpiece with white paint. It is most convenient to spray paint from a can, but you can also use regular acrylic paints and a good old brush.

5. We begin to paint the toy. First we draw the border of the “tailcoat”, then we outline the eyes and beak. We draw bright clothes so that the penguins stand out in the snow.

6. Now you need to prepare a pompom for the hat. To do this, take two cardboard rings and put them together...

And wrap it with threads.

Then we cut the threads along the outer circumference. We insert one part of the scissors into the gap formed by two cardboard circles and cut the threads in a circle without touching the layer of threads along the inner circumference. We don't remove cardboard!

Now take a thread, insert it between two pieces of cardboard and tighten it. Uncut threads along the inner circumference are intercepted and collected into one “sheaf”.

Now remove the cardboard and straighten the threads. It turns out this funny pom-pom:

7. All that remains is to glue the pompom to the drawn hat, and the craft from a plastic pinvin bottle is ready!

Next we will tell you how to make a penguin from a plastic bottle quickly and easily. Such an interesting craft will definitely become a real “highlight” of your garden and will take pride of place in the flower garden or next to an artificial pond.

We will make penguins from plastic bottles and plastic bags: this material is quite common, and also very easy to work with. Upon completion of the work, you will not only receive pleasure from the work done, but also cute and cute penguins made from plastic bottles. You can take children as your assistants; they will be happy to help you create their favorite fairy-tale characters. Olga Baturina showed us and told us how to make a penguin from a plastic bottle and plastic bags with her own hands. Olga has already shared her work with us on the website, this is a dog made from plastic bags, and if you are interested, you can watch a master class on how to make it.

To make a penguin we will need:
* Plastic bottles.
* Plastic bags.
* Scissors.
* Textile.
* Wire.
* Styrofoam.

Method for making a penguin from bags and bottles:
So, let's begin! You can make any penguin, it all depends on your imagination and capabilities. We will need an ordinary plastic bottle. You don’t have to take it like Olga’s. You can combine two drinking water bottles and you will get a Big Penguin. Let's cut off the neck of the bottle.

Make a hole in the bottom of the bottle. The size is such that you can feel it later. This hole is needed in order to secure the Little Penguin later. Olga simply puts it on a knitting needle stuck into the ground. The baby penguin turns out to be very light and can fly away. But if you are making a penguin as a decoration for the garden, then you can pour sand or small gravel into the bottle. Then it will be heavy and will not fly away if there is a strong wind.

Let's make wings. Take the wire and bend it in half. We make holes in a plastic bottle for the wings and insert wire into them.

We take any fabric and cover the resulting frame with it. Don't worry, it's very easy to do!

This is the future wing of our penguin.

This will be Little Penguin's adorable tail.

Now let's make the plumage! Prepare thick cellophane bags or film and cut it into strips like this. We make feathers for the tail and wings, and fringe for the entire body. But you can only choose one cutting option. Olga did it differently!

Let's start connecting the plumage to the limbs. For example, from the wing. Take two cellophane feathers and join them at the tip of the wing, just like you would put your palms together. Secure everything with a seam. Sew the wing down to the body.

Now we sew the tail in exactly the same way as the wing.

Now we need to determine the bird's plumage pattern. Olga does this by drawing on fabric. And go ahead!

This is how Baby Penguin’s feather covering ends. If you have it in your headdress, then you can stop there, and if not, then trim it to the end.

Let's make the eyes. These are blanks for the eyes. First we draw, and then we cut it out of very thick cellophane, plastic, etc. Use your imagination! Your little penguin can have any eyes, both in color and shape. If you don't want to bother, you can buy ready-made eyes.

We connect the parts imitating a machine seam with threads of a suitable color.

These are the blanks for the paws, we make them from foam plastic. Foam fins. There were even poems. We cover the legs with fabric, with the seam facing inward. You will get socks for foam paws. The color of the fabric can even be white. You can then paint it the color you want.

The beak is made in the same way as the legs from foam. And its shape is also according to your desire. Olga's Little Penguin has a nose like this! All details are sewn with a hidden seam.

Hello! I'm ready! They also sewed a cap for me from thin cellophane. Now I'm absolutely handsome! All that's left to do is paint the paws.

That's it, the penguin made from a plastic bottle and plastic bags is ready, let's find a place for it in our garden or place it in the playground. Using this master class we make other similar penguins.

In conclusion, I would like to invite you to watch our favorite Soviet cartoon, “The Adventures of Little Penguin Lolo.” It seems to me that our bottle penguin is very similar to Lolo, don’t you think so?))). Write comments and also share your work on the site.

A penguin made from plastic bottles will become a worthy part of your interior or garden decor. This is a charming and relevant element, especially in the winter season; it can be safely placed under the New Year tree. And the kids involved in the process of making a baby penguin will receive a lot of positive emotions.

This master class describes in detail the entire process of creating an original craft!

To create a Penguin you will need very little:

- three plastic bottles of any size;
— acrylic and emulsion paint;
- scissors;
- brush of kolinsky or synthetic;
- pompom;
- foam sponge;
- glue.

To create the blank, you need to carefully cut two bottles in half. For this you only need the bottom part of the bottles.

From the third bottle, cut out the wings and legs of the penguin using ready-made templates.

The base of the parts is extended by approximately 1 cm.

This is what should happen.

If one of the parts fits tightly onto the other, you need to make a small incision.

The wings are inserted overlapping the top of the bottle and the bottom. To fix the legs, two small holes are cut in the bottom, into which the legs are then inserted.

We cover the entire area of the product with white water-based paint.

The craft needs to be primed in two layers. Thanks to the density and thickness of the paint, you get this texture.

While the soil dries, you can cut a scarf from a plastic bottle. Its ends are cut into small strips.

After the soil has dried, use a marker to sketch the outline of the eyes, beak and breast on the workpiece.

And after that you should start color painting...

First, the penguin must be painted in primary colors.

Each layer should dry well; if unpainted spots and bald spots appear, you can cover the craft several times.

The contours can be drawn with an ordinary black marker on top of already dried acrylic paint.

As a result, the craft takes on a complete look; all that remains is to attach the pompom.

If you wish, you can make a pompom yourself or take a ready-made one (as in this case).

Using glue, a pompom is attached to our penguin's hat.

And the product acquired its final, completed look. The result is such a wonderful little penguin in a hat!

The final look of the craft.

The process of making crafts with your own hands is absolutely not labor-intensive and will not take much time. By boldly experimenting, you can end up with a very original thing that will decorate or complement the interior, adding a special atmosphere and comfort to it!

As for our environment outside the house, we can make a very original birdhouse from a plastic bottle for it, which will bring great benefits for birds that do not fly to warmer climes for the winter!
