The boys are also not far behind, imagining themselves in the image of their favorite Superheroes or a brave pirate. Imitating your favorite heroes is not only entertainment, it helps a child to realize himself.

Paper tiger mask. Paper mask for masquerade. How to do it?

Getting ready for the New Year - making a tiger mask.

If you don’t have time to sew a carnival costume for a New Year’s masquerade, then you can make an original tiger mask yourself. And if you choose clothes in the same style, then even without a tail everyone will understand what class of predators you belong to. Using scissors, cut out all parts of the mask from a thick sheet of paper: the muzzle, mouth, and ears (see patterns below). Paint the mouth, ears and muzzle, let the paint dry, and then glue the ears to the muzzle (after bending them along the dotted line). Carefully bend all three flaps on the mouth (the fold lines are indicated by a dotted line) and glue them to the mask in the indicated places. Also cut out the mustache from thin cardboard and glue it to the mask. To make a tiger, it is better to use orange paper (you can also use white paper and color it orange. Make the tiger coloring of the mask in accordance with the picture given at the beginning.

Once again, kindergartens are preparing another series of children's matinees with fancy dress costumes.

Parents will once again have to prepare a mask for the matinee. It is better to do this with your child together.

The topic of today's post is a master class that answers the question of how to solve this difficult problem.

We need to turn mask making into an educational game.

The mask should be the most beautiful and cool one in the kindergarten. This requirement requires an extraordinary approach on the part of parents.

Today, together with the children, we will make a mask for the matinee.

Today, together with the children, we will make masks of a tiger, tigress, and tiger cub with our own hands.

Below are pictures that need to be printed, laminated, cut out along the contour and threaded with twine or elastic to fit the child’s head.

It is also possible to have a strip of cardboard or laminated paper at the bottom of the mask, folded with a rim to fit the child’s head (if you connect not with threads, but with a stapler, then the staples should be directed with their sharp ends outward (so as not to scratch the child’s head)).

The pictures need to be saved to the computer, inserted into an editor (for example, MS Word), stretched onto an A4 sheet, printed out in black and white, colored with the children and, if possible, laminated (if not, pasted on cardboard), cut out contour and thread a string or elastic band to the size of the child’s head. If you can’t color it yet (the child is still small), you can print it on a color printer (if you don’t have a printer at home, the nearest photo salon will be happy to help you). The laminator can also be found at your nearest online printing salon.

How to make a lion (tiger, panther) mask from paper with your own hands.

The Lion King is a popular hero; a lion costume and mask are often needed. I immediately remember Lev, Ellie’s friend.

In heraldic tradition, the lion is often depicted with a very humanoid face. As my “silly positive hero” son said:

Well, okay, I don’t like evil and bloodthirsty intriguers. Our first lion will be kind (surely, by inertia, other models of lion masks will be invented).

I’ll say right away that the most difficult thing about a lion costume is the mane. Yes, making a big cat mask with round ears from paper or cardboard is less than half the battle. Such a mask, with a simple repainting, can be turned into either a tiger mask or a panther mask.

We will look at the methods of making wigs in detail later - but today we will make do with the simplest hairstyle.

But let's return to the mask itself. The pattern is like this:

Let's do as in the case of a boar mask - under the “brutal” nose we will put a human one - a small trapezoidal part. After the darts on the forehead and cheekbones are glued, the mask has gained volume and it’s time to glue in the inner, lined nose.

This is where you have to adjust it according to the actor. The sizes I indicated suit Eugene, but my nose is too big.

Now we will glue a pink triangular pad onto the outer nose - the same “nose” that we check in cats( if it is wet and cold, then the cat is healthy, and I wish the same for your lion))). I will make “pods” from cotton pads.

Moreover, these same discs are multi-layered, so for plumpness you can stratify the pad and insert fluffy cotton wool inside, and then seal the place where the operation was performed.

If you have hairspray, lightly spray it on the ear pads - they will be more durable.

Well, here’s a mask that, with the appropriate color scheme, can be considered a tiger mask:

or a panther mask:

I was aiming at the lion and I keep my word - we’ll cut paper strips and twist them (with scissors or a pencil):

I glued the bangs to a strip of paper, and glued the sideburns haphazardly - here: a mini mane!

If this mask is made from yellow cardboard and you don’t skimp on the curls, the lion will, by God, look real!

During the New Year holidays I re-read Tove Jansson's Dangerous Summer and dedicate my lion mask to the Moomin family's performance of The Lion's Bride. Although Moominpappa states there: “I’m not afraid of the lion, I always kill him!”, in fact, everything turned out well and the lion survived.

In my opinion, the simplest, most interesting and accessible thing is to make a mask from papier-mâché. Even a child can do this, so this is also a good way to do something together with your child.

For such a mask you will need PVA glue (or paste), paper (you can use newspaper), plasticine, water, paints.

1 First, we make a mold for the mask out of plasticine. There is no need to rush here and you need to think through all the details, measure the shape and make it the right size. You can even draw it first to make it easier.

2 Cover the finished form with pieces of paper in even layers. To avoid getting confused in the layers, you can alternately use white paper and newspaper, alternately making a white layer and a layer of newspaper. We glue the first layer onto the plasticine mold itself with water, subsequent layers are glued with PVA glue or paste. There should be at least 10 layers so that the mask is thick and durable enough.

3 Leave the mask to dry well for 2-3 days. Here, the longer, the better, because a poorly dried mask may simply not work.

4, carefully separate the female from the plasticine mold so that the mask itself does not break.

5, using scissors or a stencil knife, make slits for the eyes and align the edges of the mask.

Use 6 paints to decorate the tiger mask in the desired colors.

    The mask is ready!

Tiger mask for New Year, masquerade, etc. can be made from scrap materials quickly and easily, from paper and cardboard.

We take paper, or even better cardboard, and cut out a circle that matches the size of the head. Paint it orange (if you have it, you can immediately take cardboard of that color). Cut random triangles from black colored paper and paste them onto the circle around the edges. Cut out the nose and draw a muzzle with a black felt-tip pen. We glue the ears out of cardboard, which we also paint over with orange and cover halfway with black paper.

We make holes in the place of the eyes and glue an elastic band.

    The mask is ready.

If you don’t want to make a mask yourself, print out a ready-made mask

In order to make a tiger mask with your own hands You can print a template on paper, taking into account the size of the face, then, using the resulting stencil, transfer this mask to cardboard or some other dense material. Now you need to symmetrically cut holes for the eyes, after trying on the mask. To keep the tiger mask in place, you need to sew an elastic band or ribbons on the sides at the level of the temples, and you can also attach the resulting mask to a stick, but then it will have to be supported throughout the masquerade.
