Wire bracelet. What helps a copper bracelet, how to make it with your own hands Copper bracelet with stones from wire

Not a very difficult lesson on creating a unique piece of jewelry from an available material - copper wire. Step-by-step master class with a photo. Progress and little tricks;)

Hello! Today we will make a copper wire bracelet using the Wire wrap technique. This means that all elements of the product are fastened only with the help of interlacing wires, other elements are fixed in the same way: beads, stones, etc. Soldering is not used. To date, this technique is not very widely known, but is gaining more and more popularity.
The wire for our decoration can be bought at a needlework store, or you can get it from the wire by removing the insulation from it. The latter method is the most convenient, because it is not always possible to find the desired diameter in the store, and often such a wire is covered with a colorless varnish, which will prevent the patina from taking on.

For work we need:
copper wire of different diameters (0.2 mm - 2.4 m; 0.4 mm - 3 m; 0.8 mm - 1 m; 1.3 mm - 25 cm)
pliers
round nose pliers
side cutters
needle file
hammer and anvil
needle or thin knitting needle (about 1 mm in diameter)
beads (glass, stone, ceramic) - 3 pcs
Desirable:
ammonia
paste GOI
boron machine
caliper (for determining the diameter of the wire)

Progress

1. Cut off 25 cm of the thickest wire (1.3 mm). This will be the base of our bracelet. On it we need to make a loop. But first, we grind the end of the wire so that in the process of wearing the bracelet it does not scratch or cling. To do this, we will use a needle file (instead of a needle file, you can use sandpaper or even a nail file). Check the surface with your finger so that it is smooth and not scratched. Now we grab the tip of the wire with the very tip of the round-nose pliers and gently bend it.

Then you can bend the resulting loop back a little.

We get a loop that resembles the eye of a pin. If there are traces of tools on it, they can also be removed with a needle file.
2. Cut off 1.35 m of wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm and wind it on a thin knitting needle or needle (I use a needle with a diameter of 1.2 mm).

We try to make the turns evenly and tightly, but if somewhere there is a small distance between the turns, it's okay. We've got a spring. We string this spring on a piece of wire 0.4 mm and begin to wind it on the base of the future bracelet.

Be sure to leave the "tails" (which stick out of the spring). When the entire spring is wound, it needs to be fixed. To do this, we make a few more turns around the thick wire and cut off the excess.

We press the tip tightly to the base of the bracelet with pliers - on one side and on the other.
3. We cut off 20 cm of wire with a diameter of 0.8 mm, leave the “tail” and also wind it around the base wire (we place it between the coils of the spring).

We fix the "tails" on a thick wire (we make a couple of turns).
4. We need to hide the base of the spring: the places where we fixed the ends of the wires look completely unattractive. Usually, end caps are used for this, but it often happens that there are no suitable ones for sale (the desired shape, diameter). But we will easily and gracefully get out of this situation! We take the thinnest wire (0.2 mm) - a segment of about 40 cm and wind it directly onto an ugly place.

We make a kind of "ball". When the segment ends, we hide the tip inside the "ball". In the process of wearing, nothing should cling! At the other end of the spring we make the same "ball".
5. Now let's move on to the most interesting part - decorating the bracelet with beads. Here you can give free rein to your imagination: you can use a variety of beads: stone, glass, clay, wood, metal, homemade from polymer clay. You can use dividers and hats, whatever you like in the hardware store. If you want, instead of separators, you can make the same “balls” of thin wire between the beads.

6. Next - repeat step 2-4: make another spring, put it on a thin wire and wind it on a thick one. Between the turns we wind a wire with a diameter of 0.8 mm. Do not forget to fix the tips and press them tightly to the base wire. Again, "balls" hide the ugly ends of the spiral.
7. Now we cut off the end of the thick wire, leaving a 1.5 cm tail. From it we need to make another loop, as we did at the other end of the bracelet. Do not forget to grind the tip, after which we twist the loop with round-nose pliers.
8. Clasp. You can buy a ready-made clasp, but we will try to make it ourselves. We take a 0.8 mm wire and twist the figure eight: for this you need to twist it around a thick knitting needle (or a pen, a pencil - in a word, something round).

We twist the ends of the figure eight with round-nose pliers into the smallest loop.

We got an S-shaped clasp. It remains only to beat it off from the fold, then it will become stiffer and will not straighten out if the bracelet is pulled hard (you don’t need to do this on purpose anyway). We beat off with a hammer on the anvil (if you do not have an anvil, you can replace it with a second hammer or just a flat steel platform).

It is necessary to beat very carefully, with several weak blows, and not one strong one.
The second part of the clasp is a ring. We make half of the "eight", bend the tip into a small ring.

And on the other hand, we make a smaller loop with the help of round-nose pliers.

We also bend the end into a loop. We beat off a larger ring on the anvil. To attach the clasp of the bracelet, carefully bend the ring of the bracelet up.

Insert the clasp and close the ring back.

We do the same on the other side. We give the bracelet a rounded shape (you can do this on a small jar, or you can just use your hands).
9. The bracelet is ready. But we can improve it even more: apply a patina to create a noble effect of antiquity. You can patinate with different compositions: sulfuric liver, sulfuric ointment, but we will use the most affordable way - patination with ammonia vapor. To do this, we need ordinary ammonia (10% ammonia solution), which is sold in pharmacies. First, degrease the product (you can wash it with a regular sponge with dishwashing liquid) and dry it well. Then, in any container, for example, a jar, pour an ammonia solution to the bottom and hang the bracelet at the top (make sure that it does not come into direct contact with the liquid).

We close and wait until the color of the product changes (usually 2-3 hours).
10. Now it remains to polish our bracelet to emphasize volume and depth. The most convenient way to do this is with a boron machine using GOI paste.

You can also polish by hand with felt, a piece of jeans or just a soft cloth. We drip a little machine oil on a cloth, rub it on the paste and start rubbing the bracelet in protruding places. We polish until a beautiful bright shine appears. Now the product needs to be washed well, for this it is convenient to use an old toothbrush and dishwashing detergent.

Everything you can wear!

Quite an unusual and interesting activity in the modern world can be called weaving from copper wire. Thanks to this type of needlework and creative process, you can create an unusual wire bracelet quickly and easily with your own hands. to work in such a creative direction, you do not need to purchase expensive materials and special tools. We invite our readers to learn more about the process of forming various products from wire material.

We weave an original bracelet made of wire with our own hands in MK

As we said above, you do not need special materials and tools to create original bracelets made of copper wire and beads. Let's take a closer look at the materials and tools necessary for weaving bracelets.

First of all, you will need to purchase an unusual wire in a specialized needlework store. This wire is used specifically in applied art, it can have different diameters and colors. Also, handmade wire has a variety of stiffnesses. Such characteristics make it possible to create completely different structures and products from this material.

Of course, in addition to handmade wire, you will also need tools suitable for working with it. Purchase or find at home tools such as round nose pliers, pliers and wire cutters. These are basic tools that will allow you to create with their help a variety of decorations and designs with your own hands.

Also, to decorate your finished product, you will need bright stones, beads, rhinestones, beads, ribbons and other decorative elements.

Let's learn safety when working with wire: basic recommendations

Do not forget about your own safety when working with wire. It is best to wear gloves to make various decorations and compositions from wire material. This precaution will prevent cuts and injuries to your hands when working with the sharp edges of the wire. Also, goggles for your eyes will not be superfluous when creating wire jewelry. This is to ensure the safety of the lining of your eye. When cutting wire with wire cutters, small fragments can fly off to the side and injure your eyes.

We bring to the attention of our readers a detailed and step-by-step master class on weaving a copper wire bracelet. Prepare all the necessary material and tools:

  • several meters of copper wire;
  • nail file or drill;
  • polishing paste.

To make an original wire bracelet, you need very few materials. After preparing everything you need, you can begin the process of forming the decoration.

It is necessary to cut forty or fifty centimeters of copper wire. The required length of the wire material depends on the circumference of the wrist on which you are making the wire bracelet. Form two segments of the same length.

Use the hot flame of a candle or lighter to heat the copper wire and straighten it. Next, bend the two pieces of wire fabric in half. Then, using a thinner wire, wrap your copper billet. Make the skeins quite close to each other. Make movements with a hand with a wire, both from the outside of the structure, and from the inside of the bracelet.

Braid the required amount of copper wire in the manner described above. Do all the manipulations very carefully and evenly.

Now bend your entire workpiece into a semicircle and align. From the extra tails of the wire material, you need to form decorative curls and ledges. Next, there will be a rather difficult stage in the entire process of making a bracelet. It is necessary to connect these bends to each other and fix them on the bracelet so that nothing bends or catches during wearing.

Take a thinner wire and wind it in the narrow part of your spiral. One loop around the first wire and go to the second loop. According to such descriptions, you need to fix the entire structure.

It remains to remove all the sharp tips of your bracelet. To do this, gently tap on them with a hammer. So they will become flat and safe. Now your wire bracelet is ready.

Copper bracelets are quite easy to make, and there are so many options!

Copper strips are sold in packs of six in a 6" x 1" package. Great size! You can forge, stamp, rivet and paint. The possibilities are endless! Let's make a copper bracelet with our own hands with a green coating and with flowers. It was really fun and pretty easy! See how below.

That's all you need to work with metal (see below).

I used the patina and ink to paint the metal.

Tools and materials:

  • 20 mm copper strip 6×1 inch
  • brass patterned sheet
  • A hammer
  • steel block
  • metal file
  • Pliers for bending bracelets
  • Various vintage patinas and alcohol inks
  • Sanding sponge

Copper bracelet with your own hands. Instruction:

Lay the copper strip on the brass sheet, lining it with cling film.

Hit the copper with a hammer. You need to hit really hard for the pattern to imprint on the copper.

Remove the copper from the brass plate. See how the pattern has transitioned to copper. It's not perfect, but good. We make our bracelet in rural style!

File the edges of the plate with a file.

Use pliers to shape the plate into a bracelet shape.

It will take a little time to get it right.

Put the bracelet in sulfur. To create sulfur gel, you need to mix sulfur with a small amount of warm water. Lower part of the product and let it blacken. This will take a few seconds.

When the bracelet is ready, remove it from the sulfur. Rinse it with water and dry.

Polish the top layer with an emery sponge.

Add a vintage patina to the back of the bracelet.

Mix several colors to get what you want.

Using a paper towel, spread the colors over the entire surface.

Remove the patina from the top layer with sandpaper. Then the paint will remain only in the recesses.

Now add alcohol ink.

Using a paper towel or cotton swab, spread the paint over the entire surface.

Go through the sandpaper again.

The work is done! If you wish, you can resin the bracelet. It dries very quickly.

DIY wire bracelet. Bracelet made of soldered copper rings.

Master class from Anatolyevich. Workshop Needlework.

Do not know - Where to get copper wire !? Watch a video!

We use copper wire 1 mm thick. To make rings, you will need a 15 mm round rod on which we tightly wind the wire. Either wood or metal. We cut the rings and solder them. You can use silver or copper phosphorus solder. You need to solder the rings with high quality, otherwise they may break during the bending process.

After you have assembled a chain of wire of the desired length, pull it through a couple of holes in a wooden plank (like a Viking chain). The first hole is about a little less than the thickness of the chain and further to decrease. Be extremely careful. Anneal the chain before pulling to soften the wire.

To make the chain square, with edges (as in the photo), you need to process the chain on four sides with a file (grind and polish).

To make a bracelet from wire of a different size, use wire of different thicknesses and change the diameter of the rings.

After making a wire bracelet, we patinate (age) and polish, like everyone else

It's not difficult for you, but I'm pleased.

Anatolevich.

Wire jewelry is not an easy task that requires concentration and patience. In this lesson, we will make a bracelet from copper wire.

Bracelets are made in different ways, they can be made from solid wire decorated with beads. You can make individual parts and fasten them with rings, this method is one of the most difficult because you need to make many identical parts that will be flexible during the assembly of the bracelet, or you can come up with an original wattle, from two types of wire, wire weaving is a very beautiful type of wire jewelry, and today we will make a bracelet in this style.

For this we need:

1.copper wire 1.5mm
2.copper wire 0.1mm
3.nose pliers
4.nippers

The base in our bracelet is quite simple, we take a wire of 1.5 mm, and cut four pieces of wire 12 cm each, wind a thin wire on one piece of wire, make five turns, put another piece of wire on the sixth turn, and make two pieces of wire on both pieces of wire. turn, then on the second we make five turns, apply the third piece and also make two turns, only now around the second and third wire in this way you fasten all the pieces of wire with weaving (5x2).

Having reached the top on the top wire, you also make five turns and go down in the same order as you went up five turns on one wire, two on both, reaching the end you should stop on the bottom wire.

After completing all the movements, we move to the edges of the bracelet, we give them the shape of a snail. twisting into a spiral, along the length of the wire, the long end into a large spiral, and so on increasing to the small end of the wire. The ends of the wire can be decorated with beads or twisted as your imagination tells you, also this one the bracelet can be patched (oxidized with ammonia), thereby giving the bracelet a dark color, patching varies depending on the chemical element, and if you boil it in citric acid after patching, it will become bronze in color.
