Two words about the methodology. In each of the bags we put one cold storage battery weighing 770 grams, pre-cooled in a household freezer to a temperature of -25 °C. Then we loaded the food - a couple of bottles of water and one chocolate bar each, having previously cooled them to +4 °C. All that remains is to observe how the state of the products will change over the course of eight hours at an ambient temperature of +26 °C. They assessed it extremely simply - they measured the temperature of bottled water every hour.
The bag with two compartments, 6‑ and 10‑liter, held out the cold best of all. Moreover, for testing we used only a 10-liter compartment, and a 6-liter compartment would certainly have shown better results - but it turned out to be too small for our tests.
The 18-liter bag behaved a little worse, which has a small sealed Velcro valve for quick access inside. Each time you open the bag, unlike large pockets, it saves at least a little of the cold accumulated in it. And the last one in the tests was a simple shopping bag with a capacity of 30 liters, closed with a single large zipper. Everything is, in general, quite predictable. Note that after a day the food in all the bags warmed up to +24 °C.
