Maresyev, who became the prototype of the hero of the work. His plane was shot down in an air battle, the pilot was seriously injured, both legs were amputated in the hospital, but he, having shown perseverance and remarkable willpower, returned to fighter aircraft. The children were interested to know that the work was very popular in the country and far beyond its borders: the story was published about forty times abroad, and about a hundred times in Russian. And not only because it told about the legendary feat and became a textbook of courage. Pupils actively discussed, commented, shared their impressions about the read work. They noted that Boris Polevoy vividly showed how to remain a man in the most severe conditions, objectively conveyed the inhumanity of war, the bitterness of losing loved ones, explained the desire of every soldier to fight to the last breath. The guys spoke with enthusiasm about the Russian national character striking the whole world and decided that Boris Polevoy dedicated this story to all the soldiers who defeated the Nazis with their courage, courage and fortitude. Victory Day is the brightest holiday for all residents of our country. On this day, we remember our relatives and friends who survived these terrible events. Time goes by inexorably. It has been 73 years since the Russian flag of Victory was raised over the Reichstag. There are fewer and fewer eyewitnesses of military events. But the memory of the dead will live forever. The guys from the cadet school No. 46 prepared a story about their relatives who went through the roads of the war and worked in the rear for the benefit of the Victory. One of the guys kept his great-great-grandfather's cap, carefully kept by his family. The guys presented a festive concert dedicated to the Victory Day and wrote letters to the "Soldiers of the War from their descendants". In their letters, they thanked the Russian soldier for the fact that today there is peace on our land.

On the same day in city library number 9 (st. Tsiolkovsky, 12) for students of the Penza Regional Medical College, an evening of memory "In the book memory of a moment of war", dedicated to Victory Day, was held. From the first days of the war, writers and poets, together with the whole people, stood up to fight the Nazis. Their weapons were a rifle, a machine gun, and a word: poems, stories, songs, lines of military correspondence. Their voices sounded like an alarm bell, mobilizing the people to fight, to win. Beautiful works that captured the immortal feat of the Soviet people still excite people's souls today and act as custodians of the memory of generations. During the event, poems by A. Tvardovsky, M. Jalil, Yu. Drunina, K. Simonov, songs to the words of A. Surkov, V. Lebedev-Kumach, B. Okudzhava, excerpts from the works of B. Vasilyev "Not listed" , Y. Bondarev "Hot Snow", V. Polevoy. “The Tale of a Real Man”, Vorobyova K. D. “Killed near Moscow”, which tells about the price at which the victory was won. The war is the fearlessness of the defenders of Brest, it is 900 days of besieged Leningrad, it is the oath of the Panfilovites: “Not a step back, Moscow is behind us!”. This is the victory at Stalingrad won by fire and blood, this is the feat of the heroes of the Kursk Bulge, this is the storming of Berlin, this is the memory of the heart of the whole people. Victory Day was and remains a sacred day for all the people of our country. At the evening, poems by Shchipachev S. “It seemed that the flowers were cold ...”, Akhmatova A. “Courage”, Tvardovsky A. “At Stalingrad the things of the battle are hot ...”, Sofronova A. “Angry autumn was circling in the field ...”, Nozhkina M. “And those who are alive, who miraculously survived”, as well as songs: “Katyusha” by M. Bokov “Silence on Mamayev Hill”. It was poetry and music, drawing not so much a picture of the war as a man in the war. With great interest, the children watched the colorful presentation “Dedicated to the Great Victory”, got acquainted with the book exhibition “Let generations know”, which presented the best works about the Great Patriotic War. The guests of the evening were students of the music school. Chekha - guitarists Vlad Akimov and Nikita Petrovsky, who performed songs of the war years. And the children looked with interest at the books "Hour of Courage", "Children - Heroes of the Great Patriotic War" by A. Pecherskaya and books by S. Alekseev. But each of those who visited the library that day was attracted by the quilt "To you, from another generation ...". With great attention those present examined photographs from the chronicle of the Second World War of 1941-1945 and articles from the Pravda newspaper, where documents about the victory of the Russian people were printed. In a conversation with the librarian, many of those present had a desire to write down their thoughts and feelings, to attach the symbol of the peace-dove, thus expressing their respect and gratitude to the soldiers who defended our Motherland.

And for the students of the Architectural and Civil Engineering College, an hour of remembrance “A book about the war dear to the heart” passed. The younger generation was told about the work of B. Vasiliev, a writer - a front-line soldier, in whose books the theme of war was a red thread. Librarian E. A. Krasilnikova introduced the audience to the history of the creation of the story “The Dawns Here Are Quiet…”, read out excerpts about the courage and heroism of young girls who did not spare their lives for their Motherland. "We brought this day as close as we could"

May 9 at 16:00 library №146 invites residents of the Orekhovo-Borisovo Severny microdistrict to an interactive hour - "We brought this day as close as we could." Guests are waiting for the review "War and humor - are two things not compatible?" - a story about satirical propaganda teams during the war. There will also be a screening of the film "Three Meetings" (1948). For the guys who came to the library that day, there will be an origami master class "Paper Army" and a drawing contest on asphalt "Let the sky above the Earth be peaceful!"

Is humor necessary in war? This question will be answered by the heroic history of front-line artistic brigades that worked on the most important sectors of the Soviet-German front. From the first days of the war, writers, artists, and artists have been working on "terrible weapons" to raise the morale of soldiers. On the front line, they risked no less than the soldiers, falling under fire, bombing and surrounded by the enemy.

At front-line concerts, the artists showed pantomimes and skits, made satirical riddles, sang ditties, read poems, for example, such as "Our ABC":

Watermelon ripens in July

Adolf is a bandit, the world knows it.

A grenade is a true friend of a soldier, -

Destroy your adversary with it.

The works of caricaturists appeared in the central and local press, on the walls of houses and in the windows of large shops. Soviet caricature fired satirically at the enemy from the pages of newspapers, smashed with propaganda posters, "TASS Windows", raised colorful posters at the crossroads of military roads, scattered in a flying rain of leaflets.

Humor and satire really became the most important means of raising the morale of soldiers amid the hardships of front-line life and gave hope to home front workers. The participants of the event will get acquainted with the most striking works of satire of the war years.

The meeting will be accompanied by a display of photographs, videos and other visual materials. Also, visitors will get acquainted with the film "Three Meetings", which consists of three short stories and tells about the participants in the Great Patriotic War who returned from the front and entered civilian life.
