We have selected simple recipes for preparing skin care products. We also created a design diagram, thanks to which you can experiment with different components.

Important Features

Making homemade cosmetics is easy. All you need is a little free time and natural ingredients. Available. Medicinal plants and herbs, for example, can be bought at a pharmacy, fruits and vegetables can be brought from the dacha, and honey and dairy products can be purchased at the market. But before you start home production, you need to pay attention to the features of such cosmetics.

pros

You are 100% confident in the quality of the products. You know that the composition contains only what you yourself put in. That is, no harmful preservatives, chemical compounds or mysterious components.

Another bonus of our own production is the price. Jars of similar composition from well-known manufacturers of natural cosmetics can be tens of times more expensive.

Minuses

Homemade cosmetics do not last long. Usually - from one day to a week. Therefore, you need to get into the habit of replenishing your supplies from time to time. With experience, the time spent in the beauty pantry will decrease.

Nuance

Before preparing your treasured products, find out what skin type you have. Here are the most characteristic features of each of them.

Dry skin is often light in color, thin, with poorly visible pores, and is prone to the appearance of spider veins on the cheeks.

Oily skin shines due to excess sebum, pores are visible, and is prone to the appearance of blackheads and acne.

Normal - soft, elastic, without shine, spots and spider veins.

But it’s ideal if a cosmetologist helps you determine your skin type. A specialist will be able to take into account all the features and nuances.

Olga Zamkova, natural cosmetics maker, founder of the Radhika brand:

To maintain elasticity and youthfulness of the skin, it is better to use homemade cosmetics. This is especially true for the products we use every day. For example, a good alternative to many store-bought cleansers that contain alcohol and therefore dry out the skin is ubtan, an Ayurvedic remedy made from a mixture of flour and herbs. You can remove makeup with sesame oil applied to a sponge. A wonderful body scrub can be prepared by mixing salt, sugar, honey and basic essential oil.

Beauty laboratory

There are a great variety of homemade cosmetics recipes, ranging from ancient Ayurvedic compositions and the secrets of our great-grandmothers to modern inventions. We have selected several simple options from the available products.

Face masks

To get your skin in order, it is enough to apply masks to your face 1-2 times a week for 15-20 minutes. The method for preparing them is simple - mix all the ingredients. And the composition is different for each skin type.

For dry and normal skin

1 tbsp. spoon of sour cream or cottage cheese, 1 teaspoon of honey, 10 drops of lemon juice

For oily skin

1 beaten egg white, 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Universal composition

2 tbsp. spoons of oatmeal, 1 tbsp. spoon of vegetable oil, 4 tbsp. spoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of honey

Face cream

Making your own cosmetics is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. For example, any cream is an emulsion: water + oil. And to combine these components, you need to add an emulsifier.

Natural substances, such as beeswax, can act as an emulsifier, says Natalya Kharitonova, a teacher at the AreYouVedic school in the field of aromatherapy and home remedies. - But there are soft and safe artificial options, such as Span, Polawax, Montanov.

If you don’t want to delve into the complexities of combining liquids, you can start by making a simple buttercream without adding an emulsifier. True, it is only suitable for dry and normal skin, because it contains oil and a minimal amount of water. For oily skin, the cream needs a lighter one - it should contain more water and less oil. But in this case, you cannot do without an emulsifier.

Required:

3 teaspoons shea butter, 2 teaspoons almond oil, 2 teaspoons hazelnut oil, 1 teaspoon jojoba oil, 1 teaspoon wheat germ oil, 3 teaspoons rose water, 2 drops rosewood essential oil , 3 drops lavender essential oil

Preparation:

Melt shea butter in a water bath. Add liquid vegetable oils to it. Mix everything. When the mixture has cooled, add rose water, stirring constantly. Then add essential oils and combine the ingredients well again using a spoon or mini mixer. Transfer to a clean, dry jar with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for no more than a month.

Body Scrub

The cosmetic product prepared according to this recipe has an anti-cellulite effect. When taking a bath, it should be applied to the skin in a circular motion.

Required:

Approximately 50% coffee grounds, 40% finely ground sea salt, 10% chopped nuts or fruit seeds. You can add a few drops of oil and a dessert spoon of honey.

Preparation:

Mix everything thoroughly.

Natalya Kharitonova, consultant on Ayurvedic medicine, teacher at the AreYouVedic school in the field of aromatherapy and creating home remedies:

Recipes for natural cosmetics are not rigid: you can safely change the set of components and their quantity, selecting an individual product and “trying” it on your skin. The main thing is to know what can be combined with what and what effect such a combination will give as a result. I recommend learning this at special master classes. After all, it’s better to see how it’s done once than to achieve results by experimenting.

A little Ayurveda

The most popular beauty product that Indian women readily use is ubtan. This is a paste-like paste that is used simultaneously as soap, a cleansing scrub and a nourishing mask. Ubtan not only cares for the skin, but also heals it, copes with excessive dryness, eczema and irritation.

The easiest way to prepare ubtan at home is to mix herbs, flour and, if necessary, oils that suit your skin type in certain proportions, says Olga Zamkova, master of natural cosmetics, founder of the Radhika brand.

Required:

1 part herbs, 2 parts flour, from a few drops to 1 teaspoon (per 100 g of mixture) oil - depending on the needs of the skin

Before washing, the mixture should be steamed with boiling water and, when the paste has cooled, applied.

Ubtan constructor:

For dry skin

Flour: oatmeal

Herb: chamomile/linden/licorice

Oil (optional): almond/olive

For oily skin

Hello everyone! Today I decided to publish a collective article about homemade cosmetics. For those who don’t already know, I’ll let you know that I’m a fan of natural self-care and practically don’t buy skincare products in stores. The exception is brands that have switched entirely to natural ingredients without adding preservatives, parabens, dyes and other problems.

But they usually cost a pretty penny, so I’m always on the lookout for interesting and effective recipes. Often my own experiments fail, but I publish those products that receive the highest rating on the blog. Today we will talk about the best finds, in my opinion, which completely saved me from purchasing industrial products.

If you are interested in a complete list of recipes that I managed to try on myself, you can look at them in the “self-care” section.

Well, now I’ll say a few words about the main ingredients that I use in creating homemade cosmetics.

Base oils

An essential component is base oils; they are added to almost any product. Fortunately, there is a huge selection now, and the most difficult test is to choose the one that will work for your skin. My favorite is coconut oil, I absolutely cannot do without it. I choose only unrefined, its smell just drives me crazy.

Shea butter and almond butter also have a very good effect. But liquid cumin oil (black cumin) perfectly treats problem skin, so very often I enrich nourishing creams with it, which I apply at night. I could list for a long time the advantages of each type of this ingredient, but I won’t do that. This is a topic for a separate post. If you are interested in learning about the properties of base oils, write in the comments, I will try to collect information and publish it on the blog.

Essential oils

In some products, essential oils are necessary, in others, such as homemade soap, they are not at all necessary. But, nevertheless, you should not forget about them. If you want to learn how to replace the lion's share of your skincare products with homemade recipes, I advise you to purchase 3-4 types of essential oils. There is no point in stocking up on a large number of jars. You must clearly understand the benefits of one, then try others to know exactly which ones solve the problem or work best for you.

My favorite essential oils are orange and cedar. All of them are unique in their own way and irreplaceable for me personally.

Herbal decoction

The third and very simple component for making homemade cosmetics is a decoction of herbs. Our great-grandmothers considered herbs to be a source of youth and beauty, and they were not mistaken. To this day, many cosmetic companies producing natural cosmetics use this ingredient as a basis. It not only effectively copes with many problems, but is also distinguished by its low cost. Some useful herbs and roots can be collected yourself, for example, chamomile, mint, lemon balm, sage and so on. But if you do not have this opportunity, these and other types can be purchased at the simplest pharmacy.

Of course, these are not all the ingredients that a novice home cosmetologist will need. My arsenal also includes abrasive substances from which I make scrubs (salt, ground coffee), hydrogen peroxide, dry herbs, clay, and so on. But I don’t yet use various extracts, concentrated fruit acids and other substances that are sold in specialized stores. Although I had the idea to try it, I apparently haven’t gotten around to it yet.

With them, any home remedy would be one level more effective, especially for creams, masks and lotions, all those products that are not washed off from the skin and hair.

But as for homemade shampoos, hygiene products, soaps, and so on, I believe that their purpose is only to wash away dirt and cleanse hair or skin of oil. Complex recipes are of no use here. The active components are simply not able to be absorbed in such a short contact and the beneficial substances will simply be wasted. So I even add essential oils there solely for the smell.

So, now let's move on to the best recipes for homemade cosmetics, which I use myself and can already say enough about their effectiveness.

There are several ways to make it to choose from. Each of them is effective in removing odors.

A product suitable for body skin care. I use it during self-massage.

Simple but very effective. Copes very well with problem skin, restores acid-base balance.

An excellent alternative to store-bought salt with dyes and flavors.

Even such a remedy can be prepared independently at home from gelatin.

I love it, but it's only suitable for those who wear minimal makeup.

Well, if you want to know more, then go to the section. There you will learn about salon beauty treatments, homemade masks, massages and much more.

Well, the last thing I want to talk about today is choosing quality ingredients. Pay special attention to the choice of base oils. It is best to trust reputable sellers. And never buy essential oils in pharmacies. I can wholeheartedly recommend one of the best sellers of natural cosmetics and components for them: SPIVAK. I am delighted with the quality of the products and constantly place orders myself. You can read reviews, ask questions, place an order both on the official website and in group in contact e, where, by the way, you will find a lot of useful information about self-care.

That's all! See you again! Bye!

Previously, women did not know such a variety of cosmetics and used the care products that they had at hand. And note, these were natural remedies, why are we chasing so zealously and for which we are ready to pay a lot of money! But even when purchasing very expensive cosmetics, we get an effect directly proportional to our expectations - allergies, irritations, skin problems. And we begin to sincerely wonder - what do manufacturers add to these scrubs and creams? It’s written on the jar in accessible language – 100% natural product! You may be surprised, but in fact, the shelf life of any natural product rarely exceeds a couple of months. And only thanks to chemical additives, creams can stand on the shelf and delight us with their “combat readiness” for years!

Have you ever wondered why spend money on dubiously produced scrubs when your kitchen has everything your body needs - sour cream, vegetable oil, honey, raw eggs (as a base), as well as crushed nuts, ground coffee, oatmeal flakes, salt, bran (as scrubbing ingredients). You just need to mix them! But! Any scrubbing agent, even a truly 100% natural one, cannot be fanatically used daily - no more than 2-3 times a week.

Or maybe you dream of chocolate wrapping? Try to reproduce the entire procedure yourself, at home. Melt dark chocolate (with a cocoa content of at least 70%), mix it with heavy cream, cool and apply to the skin of the face and neck (for 10 minutes). Rinse off the chocolate with warm water and enjoy the gorgeous effect!

Not that? Do you want to cook something non-disposable, something... more serious? Please…

1.Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and stimulator of collagen production. Plus, this beneficial vitamin protects against the damaging effects of UV rays and eliminates small scars and wrinkles.

To prepare the miracle serum, you will need L-ascorbic acid. This is an unstable form of vitamin C, so it is recommended to take a small dose of the serum at a time, for a maximum of a week and a half, because it oxidizes over time and loses its magical properties (the first sign is a yellow tint). So, in addition to 1 tsp. L-ascorbic acid, you need: a teaspoon of distilled water and vegetable glycerin. Prepare a bottle for the serum in advance (it is very important that it is dark!).

Now mix the acid and water in a cup (stir until the crystals are completely dissolved, and this is a long process). Then add vegetable glycerin, mix everything and pour it into the bottle. At night, apply a small portion of serum to your face and hide the bottle in the refrigerator. If you are satisfied with the effect, you can use it twice a day.

Cautions: Some people have a negative reaction to vitamin C, so the day before you start regular use, apply the serum to a small area of skin (not your face!) and observe the reaction. If you feel tingling and burning, this is not your recipe and you will have to put up with it.

2.Lip balm

Lip balms and creams are indispensable not only in frosty and windy winters, they are necessary at any time of the year. And those balms that we buy in pharmacies and supermarkets either do not moisturize at all, but only “lie” as a greasy stain on the lips, or have a disgusting taste and smell. Try making your own lip balm. You can vary the recipe below by adding oils that you like the smell of or substituting oils that you are allergic to.

Ingredients: 35% almond oil (this will be our base); 25% beeswax (it creates the structure of the balm, so don’t overdo it - the more wax you add, the denser the finished product will be); 14% shea butter; 10% castor oil (for shine); 14% cocoa butter; 2% any essential oils

Melt the wax along with castor oil and almond oil in a water bath. Then add cocoa butter and let it simmer a little. After a couple of minutes, add shea butter in small pieces and wait until it melts. Shea butter should go last, as it will form grains when overheated. When you remove the balm from the heat, you can add essential oils (for example, peppermint, cinnamon or grapefruit) and pour the finished product into jars.

3.Universal nourishing oil for a beautiful body and shiny hair

This product contains whipped shea butter, which has unique nutritional properties. This oil can be a universal moisturizer - lip balm, hand cream, baby cream, after sun cream, hair moisturizer in one bottle! How is it better than regular shea butter? Because it is instantly absorbed, has an unusually pleasant light texture and does not lose its beneficial properties.

Preparation consists of softening pure shea butter (80% of the total composition) in a water bath or microwave (just a couple of seconds) so that it becomes soft, but does not melt. About the same as butter that has been left in a warm place. Then lightly heat the liquid oils (18% of the total mass) until warm (oils you can use: coconut, rice bran, jojoba or grapeseed oil) and add it to the shea butter. Beat the mixture with a whisk (this will take at least 10-15 minutes), you can use a mixer until you get a stable creamy mass. If you expect the cream to be stored for a long time, add a little vitamin E (1% of the total mass) and any essential oil to taste (also based on 1% of the total mass). Pour the finished product into a jar.

Tip: if you want to reduce the fatty effect, add 2-3% cornstarch when whipping the cream.

Want to nourish your hair? Then, before washing your hair, apply whipped oil to it for 15 minutes and you will be surprised how silky your hair will become after this mask!

4.Ubtan is a chic alternative to soap for sensitive skin

If you are concerned about the condition of your skin after washing, you just need to replace your soap with something softer and healthier! For example, ubtan. This complex name hides just a powder of herbs and spices, which is diluted in warm milk, yogurt or rose water before use. Either wash your face with this mass or use it as a mask, leaving it on the skin for 5-10 minutes.

The advantage of ubtans is that they can be prepared for future use and you can easily make a mixture that will suit you 100% in composition. The main thing to remember is that the basis of any ubtan is chickpea flour.

So, a recipe for anti-inflammatory ubtan that actively fights acne and its consequences: chickpea flour; chopped lentils (red); mustard oil; crushed turmeric; warm milk for dilution.

The preparation process is as simple as possible - you just need to mix all the ingredients and, before using ubtan, dilute it with warm milk.

5. Beer hair mask

Live beer contains a lot of vitamins (including vitamin B) and a whole bunch of microelements that are so necessary for our curls. Therefore, having such a wonderful remedy as beer at hand, it’s simply a sin not to use it!

Ingredients: 50 ml unrefined beer (ideally German Haufbrau or Pauliner); egg yolk; 1 tsp honey

Now mix all the ingredients, apply the mask to your hair, put on a plastic cap and a towel on top and sit down to finish reading your favorite book for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with shampoo and apply conditioner. As a last resort, especially if you suffer from dandruff, you can use the same beer diluted by a quarter with water (that is, for 1 part beer you need to take three parts water). If there is too little mask (for example, you have very long and thick hair), increase the number of components.

This mask not only nourishes your hair and makes it much more manageable, but is also a salvation from dandruff!

6.Lip plumping balm

Nothing supernatural! It’s just that such recipes use those oils (in our case, cinnamon oil) that promote blood flow to the lips and make them slightly swollen, and therefore voluminous. And the effect lasts for hours!

Ingredients: 15% beeswax (take white wax); 5% jojoba oil; 4% castor oil for shine; 20% each of shea butter, cocoa and apricot kernels; 10% squalane; cinnamon essential oil (1%).

If you can't get squalane, replace it with another moisturizing component - hemp oil, rice bran oil or sasanqua oil.

Preparation: heat the wax and solid oils (shea butter and cocoa butter) together in a water bath (until the wax is completely melted) and stir until smooth. All natural ingredients should be mixed with a wooden or glass spoon, which do not come into contact with the oils and do not allow them to lose their beneficial properties. Add squalane, jojoba oil and castor oil, stir again and immediately remove from heat. When the mixture has cooled a little, you can safely add your essential oil (we use cinnamon oil) and the contents of one vitamin E capsule (if desired) to extend shelf life. Mix everything again and you can pour it into jars. The balm should be kept at room temperature until it cools completely.

Good luck to you in this difficult magic!

Every woman wants to look young and attractive. In pursuit of beauty, many representatives of the fair sex strive to buy a huge amount of cosmetics. And sometimes their price is the main selection criterion: it is the cost, not the composition. Sometimes we pay money precisely for a loud and well-promoted brand, and not for the “filling”. For some reason, it is believed that if the price is high, then the quality is corresponding. In fact, this is not always the case.

All cosmetic products produced in production are chemicals, which are supplemented with some natural ingredients. Of course, over time, the chemical component of a product can negatively affect the skin. But with natural cosmetics this certainly won’t happen to you. Homemade cosmetics, the recipes for which are published below, have many years of practice. Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers also used these tools. DIY cosmetics: masks

  1. A good mask that fights the concept of “problem skin”. Beat the white of one chicken egg until foamy. Pour in 4 drops of tea tree extract oil and add starch, stirring all the time to form a thick mass similar to sour cream. Apply to the skin and leave for a quarter of an hour, then rinse. After such cleansing, the skin needs lotion to wipe the face and cream - it is applied after all procedures. The course of “treatment” is 10 days - alternately two to three. Pour the dry mixture into 2 tsp. milk (if you don’t have it, you can use plain water). Mix everything very thoroughly so that there are no lumps. Microwave for 15 seconds. Wait until the mixture becomes warm. Take a hard brush, first “drive” the mixture into the pores, then apply a thick layer on top and leave for a quarter of an hour. Remove it like a film mask. It is best to use this mask after taking a shower or bath so that your face is steamed. This mask cannot be stored! Contraindicated for use with rosacea!
  3. An excellent product that will help get rid of pimples, blackheads and various skin irregularities. In 0.5 tbsp. flour (choose between rice, oatmeal or wheat) add 1 dl. soda, stir. Use 1 tbsp at a time. dry mixture. It must be mixed with kefir - you should get a thick mass (like medium sour cream). Apply to face with massaging movements. Leave for a quarter of an hour. Wash off the mask. Repeat the next day. The finished mask is not stored.

It is best to start with tea tree oil as it has a neutral scent. Add 2 to 4 tbsp. coconut oil Mix everything so that the consistency is homogeneous. The resulting product must be placed in some suitable container. It’s good if you still have a special box of antiperspirant. Shelf life is about three months. Deodorant should be applied in a thin layer to the armpits in the morning.

DIY cosmetics recipes. Video

DIY homemade decorative cosmetics- it's actually very simple! Modern beauties always have a huge number of different tubes, bottles and jars in their arsenal, specially designed to highlight their best and strongest features, and to slightly correct any imperfections.

But purchasing cosmetics in stores may not always be the best choice, especially for people prone to allergies, because even if famous manufacturers sin by introducing various additives, preservatives, dyes and other “unhealthy” compounds into their products, which are often contained in synthetic pigments for lipsticks, eye shadows and blushes and causing skin problems and various allergies, so even then we can talk about fakes. But our entire market is already filled with them. Even if you purchase a product in a good specialized store, you do not receive guarantees of originality and quality of purchase.

Recently, it has become popular among manufacturers of industrial decorative cosmetics to define their products as “natural.” It is extremely rare that this is true. After all, even if there are about 0.5% natural ingredients in a cream, they can already call it that. And if indeed the product contains natural ingredients in sufficient quantities, then, as a rule, its cost is incredibly high.

For people who make their own cosmetics with their own hands, the question is: “Why?” It's not even worth it. They are well aware of the wonderful effects of natural ingredients on health and beauty. And, as it turns out, this is not such a difficult task as it seems at first glance. It is enough to purchase the necessary ingredients in specialized stores or online stores and follow the instructions at first, and then, after gaining sufficient experience, use your imagination.

With the correct selection of high-quality components and the correct strict adherence to the instructions, it is quite possible to obtain a high-quality product, which, moreover, will have supporting and healing properties.

Components of natural decorative cosmetics

Since ancient times, women have used the gifts of nature that surrounded them to decorate their bodies and emphasize their natural beauty. Products with pronounced coloring properties were used to highlight lips and blush, eyelashes were painted with a mixture of soot, fat and powdered lead, eyes were lined with crushed malachite, coal, jasper, and copper-based shadows were applied to the eyes. And this is a small part of the brilliant inventions of women striving for beauty.

Nowadays, homemade sorceresses also create their little miracles using natural ingredients. Let's try to figure out how to make cosmetics ourselves and what materials we will need for this.

Component name Description
Beeswax, flower wax This is an excellent base for liquid eye shadow, blush, various creams and dry perfumes. They have a natural pleasant aroma and wonderful caring properties, in addition they can heal minor inflammations and cracks. They exist in both liquid and solid form.
Mineral bases (titanium dioxide, boron nitrite, iron oxide, zinc oxide, etc.)

Bases with a crumbly structure. Necessary if you are planning to make foundation, powder, eye shadow.

Titanium dioxide retains moisture in the skin, creates the structure of the product and is necessary for obtaining the desired shade.

Boron nitrite has a well-deserved royal title among minerals; when used, the skin receives an amazing glow, and its texture becomes delicate and soft.

Iron oxide gives the necessary shades from sand to bright red and brown.

Zinc oxide is a sunscreen filter with an SPF of at least 15.

Thickeners Will be necessary for preparing eye shadow or foundation. There are several substances on the market that act as thickeners - both silk guar and cetyl alcohol, or ancient acid, and xanthan is also possible. The latter is the most popular not only among cosmetologists, but also among pharmacists. It is used to create medicines.
Natural dyes (pigments) Of course, cosmetic decorative products must be in bright, rich colors. Color pigments can help with this. The use of natural dyes compared to artificial ones has a number of health benefits, despite their more limited palette. The pigments have a variety of colors - from delicate pink shades to rich ultramarine.
Cosmetic aroma oils They will enrich cosmetics with unique and delicate aromas, making them pleasant to use.
Mother of pearl Good quality mother of pearls are made from pearls ground into powder. They are quite an important component for creating powders, foundations and eye shadows. Mother of pearls can be sold in their pure form or colored with pigments.
Base or essential oils It should not be confused with aroma oils, which are used only to add aroma. Basic and essential oils are used in the manufacture of cosmetics to make them nourishing, caring and healing. Each type of oil has its own beneficial qualities, and it is worth starting from your own preferences and problems when adding oils to the composition of the prepared product.
Kaolin It is popularly called white clay. Powdered sedimentary rock is used to add texture to some products and obtain the desired shade.

These, of course, are not all the components that are used to make homemade cosmetics. In order to obtain the desired effect, it is possible to add, for example, natural fruit and vegetable juices, honey and other interesting ingredients.

Equipment required for production

Of course, various devices and items will be needed to produce home cosmetic products. Make sure you have containers for mixing and storing ingredients. Read more about this in the table that follows.

Name of equipment Description
Mini mixer This is a device that no craftswoman can do without. When making homemade cosmetics, the number of components to be mixed can be so small that it will be very difficult to do without a mini-mixer. True, inventive craftsmen came up with the idea of mixing the ingredients in a plastic bag, simply rubbing them with their fingers. This method is only suitable for dry mixtures. You can’t mix foundation without a mini-mixer, and there may be a problem with separation.
Mixing bowl Prepare it from thick glass or ceramic so that it can be used in a water bath.
Indicator strips They will be needed to measure the acidity of the resulting product.
Various bottles, jars, tubes They are necessary for storing the resulting product.
Laboratory scales Sometimes the amount of the required component will be very small, and adherence to the recipe strictly is extremely important, for example, when adding color pigment. In this case, you can’t do without scales.
Sterilizer It is very convenient to use a sterilizer for baby bottles.

Do not forget that the most important condition when making homemade cosmetics is mandatory sterility. Only by completely sterilizing the dishes and other tools used in the process will you be able to make a high-quality product, using which you will not harm your health. The shelf life of homemade products is already short due to the use of natural ingredients; the lack of sterility will not allow it to last even this.
