DIY ribbon hairpins. For high styling

An important element of any image of a young lady from birth to infinity is a hairstyle decorated with ribbons, hairpins, bows, and bobby pins. But it often happens that there seem to be a lot of accessories, but nothing matches the outfit.

The way out of this situation is very simple: take necessary materials and build the decoration yourself.

Hairpins made of satin ribbons: we make a small miracle ourselves

From the huge variety of making hairpins with your own hands - from precious stones, from scraps of leather, from beads and more - we will choose the simplest, even economical way(for beginner craftswomen) from ribbons

In order to make such a hairpin, the following materials will be needed:

satin ribbon, having a width of 5 cm, blue color;

- satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide, Pink colour;

— a needle and thread (threads are better in light, neutral tones);

— glue “Moment”;

- a bead, preferably not very large, white or milky;

- scissors;

- automatic hairpin.

So, a short lesson for beginning craftswomen. We prepare everything you need and get started:

1. First, take a pink ribbon and cut it into strips (their length is approximately 7 cm).

2. Each piece of ribbon must be folded (90 degree angle) so that the length from the corner to the edge of the ribbon is the same.

3. The resulting petal should be strung on a needle with a thread threaded into it.

4. In the same way, you need to string four more petals (according to the idea, the future flower has five petals). When this stage is completed, all the petals must be pulled together evenly and very carefully. This way you will get the first flower.

5. Using the same pattern, we make the second flower, using a blue ribbon of greater width.

6. Let's prepare the base. It is very simple to make: cut out a circle of the required diameter from cardboard, cover the circle with a piece of fabric of the same color, from which the flower will be made. In our case, it is better to take a blue piece, because the blue flower will be the bottom one in the finished product.

7. The base is ready. Now you need to glue the flowers onto it.

8. You will also need petals of the second type. They can be done like white(then the product will turn out more delicate, and add a piece of white ribbon to the materials), or maybe pink. Cut the selected ribbon into pieces 5 cm long. One piece is one petal.

9. Using a soldering iron and a ruler, you need to solder the corner. Or do it differently: very carefully hem the corner with small seams and trim off the unnecessary fabric. When performing these steps, do not under any circumstances tighten the fabric, because the petals will be uneven and rough. The tape must be folded lengthwise inside out. The cut corner will be quite sharp. Here it is necessary to clarify: the sharper the corner, the smoother the petal will end up. It will be very beautiful when the corner is approximately 30 degrees.

10. You should straighten the petal and bend the corners to the center. It is better to melt the edge with a lighter.

11. For this hairpin from satin ribbons made with your own hands, you will need to make six exactly the same petals.

12. Next step. The finished petals must be sewn together - three pieces at a time - by threading them onto a needle and thread.

13. Finally all the blanks are made from satin fabric. You can proceed to the last stage. To begin, glue on the flowers: blue first, so that it is located exclusively in the center of the automatic hairpin. Stick it on it pink flower. You need to glue it in such a way that the top of the pink petals are located between the blue petals. You can stick another blue flower on top (then in finished form the flower will be more voluminous). Glue a bead in the center of the flower. Then stick small sharp petals on the sides (three on each side).

14. The hairpin made from satin ribbons, which you made yourself, is ready!

DIY ribbon hairpins master class

Satin ribbons are very easy to use. At the same time, the jewelry and accessories that come out of them look very bright and impressive, everything depends only on the imagination of the author. However, there are many ready-made ideas:

To make this ribbon hairpin you will need:

  • Two ribbons 1 cm wide different colors;
  • Needle with thread;
  • Automatic hairpin;
  • Scissors;
  • Super glue.

When all the materials have been collected, you can proceed:

  1. Let's start with the wings of the dragonfly. Cut 2 pieces of each color 12 cm long, 2 pieces of each color 10 cm long and 2 pieces 8 cm long from the ribbon.
  2. We need to make 2 pairs of wings: front and rear. They are made in the same way.

We take a ribbon 12 cm long and connect its ends together. We do the same with a ribbon of a different color, 10 cm long. Change the color again, fold a ribbon 8 cm long into the same ring.

Now we put the rings into each other, applying the junction of the edges of the ribbons to each other. We flatten this structure so that we get wings, as in the figure. For convenience, you can fasten them with a couple of stitches.

We do the same steps again to get a second pair of wings.

  1. Decorate the base for the hairpin with a ribbon by cutting off a piece required length and gluing it with superglue.
  2. Cut 2 strips of 1mm each for the antennae and glue them to the base.
  3. Place two pairs of wings next to each other, wrap them with a ribbon in the middle, secure them with thread and glue them to the base, stepping back a few centimeters from the edge.
  4. Let's make two small rings of the same color as the base. Glue them in front of the wings and after them. The hairpin is ready.

In order to create such hairpins from ribbons, we don’t even need the ability to wield a needle. It will be enough to have with you:

  • Ribbons of three colors of different widths;
  • Double sided tape;
  • Super glue;
  • Thread.

Let's start by deciding on the colors of the ribbons. They must be combined with each other. Pastel shades will look especially good.

  1. Cut 2 pieces of 10 cm ribbon of medium width. Place double-sided tape in the middle of each piece. Let's fold them into a figure eight and connect them with a thread into one bow, as shown in the figure.
  2. We do the same actions with the widest tape.
  3. Place two bows on top of each other, tying them with a thread in the middle.
  4. We will tie a narrow ribbon into a knot. We need it in order to carefully hide the thread. Place it across two bows and secure it at the back with double-sided tape or superglue.
  5. The bow is ready. All that remains is to attach it to the hairpin. Superglue will help us with this again.

This element can be used not only as a decoration for a hair clip, but also as an independent accessory, for example, a brooch.

We will need:

  • Satin ribbon;
  • Net;
  • Felt;
  • Scissors;
  • Needle with thread;
  • Beads.

Making such a hairpin is accessible even to a novice needlewoman and will only take a couple of minutes:

Cut out a circle the right size from felt. This will be our base. From the mesh we cut a ribbon slightly wider than our satin ribbon. We begin to sheathe the base along the outside with both the mesh and the ribbon. We make small folds by placing the tape on itself, as shown in the picture.

Having decorated the base around the entire outer circle, we proceed to the second level. We do the same thing, but closer to the middle.

We decorate the empty space in the center with beads various sizes, sewing them on or securing them with superglue.

Now we glue the bow to the clip of the hairpin, and we get a stylish and effective accessory.

There are many options for making ribbon hairpins. Among which there are absolutely simple ideas, which even a child can implement. But there are also more complex ideas that only experienced craftswomen can do.

The main thing that is required for manufacturing is accuracy and patience. If you are new to this technique, take a lot of materials to practice and choose the most successful elements.

Materials for making hairpins with flowers

To make flowers, prepare a satin ribbon:

  • 24 thin cuts of red or Brown 0.5 cm wide and 6 cm long;
  • 24 thin orange cuts 0.5 by 5.5 cm;
  • 24 thin cuts lemon color 0.5 by 5 cm;
  • 24 thin cuts of ivory color 0.5 cm by 4.5 cm;
  • 11 squares of lemon shade with a side length of 2.5 cm;
  • 8 lemon slices, 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long.

Also needed:

  • 5 strips of golden brocade 1 cm wide and 5 cm long;
  • round base made of yellow or white felt 4 cm in diameter;
  • wide hug-water lily with golden texture;
  • Ruby half bead bright color 0.6 cm in diameter;
  • hot knife (soldering iron or wood burner).

Step-by-step assembly instructions

Prepare 0.5 cm pieces of satin ribbon of different colors and sizes, focusing on the list of accessories. Work with delicate satin involves processing the cut edge; to do this, use a lit candle or lighter. Singe the fabric as quickly and carefully as possible so as not to spoil it with wax or melt it too much.

The selected shades together look harmonious and give the finished flower a beautiful smooth transition from dark to light.

Close each strip into a teardrop shape. Front side leave it on the outside and the wrong side on the inside, singe the combined ends with a lighter and squeeze with your fingers. Since cuts are initially used different lengths, then the size of the droplets will gradually decrease.

Start putting in every detail smaller size to the big one. Collect a multi-layer droplet. Heat the satin with a flame again and squeeze to hold all the components together. The resulting drop of satin ribbons will become a petal for a flower - the main decoration of the hairpin.

Make 24 drops for one flower. Accordingly, for a pair of hairpins you need to prepare 48 pieces.

Cut out a round felt base. Use yellow felt that matches the color of the ribbon or white. Glue the first row of drops, consisting of 8 pieces, around the circumference.

Rotate the workpiece reverse side towards you and stick the remaining drops, moving them into the spaces between the petals of the top layer.

The bottom of the flower will consist of three layers, modeled from 24 four-layer droplets.

To create the top layer, use lemon squares with a side of 2.5 cm. Scorch all the cuts in the same way. Model from the prepared parts sharp petals kanzashi. To do this, at the first stage, bend the squares diagonally.

Then bend again. When working with tape, it is convenient to use tweezers. Clamping the resulting triangular blanks in a forced position, close their ends. Sear again to seal the ends.

The resulting petals have an oblong shape, resembling a boat. Cut off the excess tape from the bottom so that the boats become flat.

Make identical petals from 11 prepared squares. Glue them into a flower. Glue a wide hug-lily in the center and insert a ruby into it.

Unravel 1cm wide pieces of gold brocade almost completely to create a fluffy fringe. Leave a few threads at the base intact, and for safety, also burn the unraveled edge so that the fringe does not fall apart.

Distribute five golden pieces evenly around the circumference, dripping glue into the center.

Stick on top elegant flower, modeled from lemon sharp petals.

To make an imitation of leaves, prepare lemon-colored strips 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long. Bend across the center, clearly aligning the singed opposite ends of the satin ribbon. Next, place the workpiece on the towel, heat the knife blade or soldering iron and move it diagonally. The result will be two parts, one of which will be made in the form of a small bag. This is the part you use for further work. Press on top with your fingers.

Glue the leaves to the bottom of the flower so that only the sharp tips peek out. Join the ends of the diamond-shaped blanks in the center.

To make a pair beautiful hairpins For hair from satin ribbons in the Kanzashi style, make two identical flowers with your own hands. Size finished product 10 cm. On the reverse side you can stick a steel alligator clip or a yellow elastic band to make an accessory for creating fashionable hairstyles.

If you need a headband, take a look at, but here they are waiting for you with a different design.

DIY crafts made from various materials- simple and inexpensive way realize yourself creatively and spend your time profitably. This also matters for mothers who want to establish or improve their relationships with their children. After all, joint creativity brings us very close, and our beloved daughters and sons develop creative thinking, fine-tuning and the habit of working, and this is so important in education. You can learn together to knit, sculpt from clay or plasticine, sew and embroider, scrapbooking, quilling, carve figurines from wood and much more. Some of the most simple products, which can be made during joint creativity with your daughter - hairpins from grosgrain ribbons or satin, which she can wear herself or give to her friends.

Preparation

First you need to collect all the materials. It is also better to choose them together with your child in a sewing accessories or creative materials store. To do this, take your favorite rapeseed and satin ribbons, beautiful buttons and beads, ready-made flowers. Based on color and pattern, it is better to choose those that can be combined together. In addition, we will need a base: small metal hairpins, preferably empty ones. But for the future, you can also take empty headbands and elastic bands.

You also need to stock up on glue and threads for future use. suitable colors, place scissors and a ruler, a pincushion and a waste box on a table covered with oilcloth for creativity. It should be remembered that from a very young age, a child must be taught to be clean and tidy. To do this, you need to set an example for him by the fact that during the creative process, all garbage is immediately thrown into the prepared box, and not scattered on the table. The result of the work will be much neater if the work surface is not cluttered foreign objects. Now we are ready for joint creativity, and we will learn how to make hairpins from ribbons further. Let's get started!

Option one: for a celebration

This simple solution is suitable for women of all ages: from the youngest to the mature. So, our DIY ribbon hairpin will be made with a large flower purchased at a craft store. First, let's make a base that we will use in other products. To do this, take a simple small crocodile clip and a grosgrain ribbon suitable in width, open the “teeth” with one hand and begin gluing the ribbon first with inside, and then from the two external ones, as indicated in the picture. You shouldn’t skimp on glue, but you don’t need to fill the entire space with it, otherwise the material will become saturated and become too hard, and you’ll get dirty. We wipe off the excess with an unnecessary rag or a piece of newspaper. Leave to dry.

During this time, you need to match the artificial leaf and flower to each other. They should match in size and look natural. Now all we have to do is glue them to the previously made base, and our simple but elegant hairpin Made from ribbon with your own hands!

Option number 2: small jewelry for babies

As in the previous example, we need to make the bases with grosgrain ribbons. It’s better to make several pieces in different colors at once so that you can match them to your princess’s outfits. Satin ribbons will look very beautiful, and you can make the flower either small or large.

It will consist of two levels of 5 and 4 petals, and we will decorate the center with a shiny bead. So, to make a flower, take 9 identical squares from the tape, fold them first diagonally and then in half. It is better to work with tweezers, because the parts are quite small. So, first we cut off the corner, then the base, and singe it. It is better to hem the corner side with a thin needle for strength. Now we first string 5 petals on a thread and sew them into the first level of the flower, and then 4 for the second. Our DIY ribbon hairpin using the kanzashi technique is almost done, all that remains is to sew both levels to each other, decorate the center with a bead and glue ready flower on the basis. Ready!

Option 3: an idea with a twist

In the previous paragraph, we made them using the satin ribbon technique. Hairpins made from them undoubtedly turn out to be very cute, but you can make them even more interesting. For this we will need wide and thin green and wide pink grosgrain ribbons. From the latter, we make a flower using the previously described technique or a simpler one. It will consist of six simple petals with sharp edges, held together in the center. To decorate the seams, you can make a snowflake from white beads or choose a beautiful bead, it’s all up to your imagination. So, the first part is ready.

Stage two

Now we make a figure eight from a wide green ribbon, carefully singe the edges with a lit match and stitch it in the center, you should pull it together just a little to make a bow larger than a flower, but not by much. In general, when making any jewelry from ribbons or fabric, you need to learn how to combine colors, patterns and sizes of blanks. To do this, you can use special diagrams and tables, look for ideas in stores. So, then from a thin green grosgrain ribbon we cut 3 short pieces, 8-10 cm long. Using scissors or a metal ruler, we make curls on them, preferably identical ones. This will be the highlight of our future hairpin.

Stage three

So, we sew these curls on the bottom of the green bow, and on top we attach a pink kanzashi flower with glue (since we will no longer be able to hide the seams with decor). In the end, all we have to do is glue this beauty onto the base, which we will also first wrap with a green grosgrain ribbon, like on the curls. This must be done very carefully so that the blanks are not stained with glue, because the decoration should look like something bought in a store, only even better. That's it, we've learned how to make a hairpin from ribbons using the kanzashi technique with a small but very cute twist.

Option number 4: bow

The best embellishments for girls' clothing or accessories are not just ruffles, lace and flowers. Required attribute There is also a bow, in the shape of which our next ribbon hairpin, made with our own hands, will be. It is suitable for both everyday and festive attire - it will depend on the color combination we choose. For our hairpin you will need three types of grosgrain ribbons: wide white and pink and thin small peas similar shades. Both bows will be made from the first ones and the structure will be two crossed eights. Therefore, we make 4 segments 20 cm long, mark the center on each and fold it to it side edges. Now we singe the edges, stitch in the middle and tighten. So, our bows are almost ready.

Ending the process

Next, we place two previously prepared “eights” of identical colors on top of each other and again sew the centers with a neat seam. So that our seams are not visible later, we will need a short piece of thin pink ribbon, with which we will decorate the center of the hairpin at the very end. So, now we put together what we got: we put white and pink bows on top of each other, sew them together or glue them (the first option is more preferable, since such a product will be stronger). Now we cut out two strips of 5 cm from a thin polka dot ribbon, remove small triangles from their edges and singe them with a lighter or match so that they do not crumble. That's it, all that remains is to assemble the product. On double bow We place the last piece crosswise, stitch it, and wrap the center with a thin pink ribbon and tie it behind. Now we glue everything on ready-made base, and our wonderful hairpin for girls is ready!

Nowadays, hand-made hairpins, as well as elastic bands for braiding braids with ribbons, are very popular. In order to complete similar decoration, you can turn to all sorts of techniques for making satin jewelry.

What you need to prepare

Before you start, you need to prepare (when using the kanzashi technique):
