How to cut hair with scissors

Take a hot shower or just wash your face hot water. Hot water will open pores and soften hairs that are about to fall out. Take a shower as usual or simply wipe your eyebrows wet wipe moistened with hot water, press it to your eyebrows for 2-3 minutes.

• If the gauze or napkin cools quickly, wet it again with hot water.
• If you are short on time, you can skip this step. But if you have time, it’s better to do it as described above - this will simplify the procedure.

1. Comb your eyebrow hairs with a special brush or comb with fine, fine teeth. You can take a special eyebrow comb (or just a clean one) toothbrush) and comb the hairs, pointing them upward. Start at the edge closest to the bridge of your nose and move towards the outer edge of your eyebrow. In addition, you will need to use a brush to hold the hairs in the desired position when you start trimming them.

   • IN as a last resort, you can hold the hairs with your finger to give them desired position and fold it up. But the eyebrow brush gets between the hairs, so it is more effective.

2. Trim hairs using an eyebrow trimmer or nail scissors. Look at your eyebrows and think about which hairs are longer than the rest. Starting at the outer end of the eyebrow, trim along the top edge of the eyebrow.

   • It is recommended to use a special eyebrow trimmer or nail scissors because they have a sharper and thinner blade tip than regular scissors. Never trim your eyebrows with kitchen or office scissors!

3. Now comb the hairs, pointing them down, and cut them again. As a final check of the overall length of the hair, you can comb the hairs down. Check to see if there are any long, stand-out hairs left. If there are any left, carefully trim them so that they match the length of the lower edge of the eyebrow.

   Remove any hairs that grow between your eyebrows. If you have a lot of hairs between your eyebrows, you can pluck them. Start plucking from the very center, gradually moving first to the edge of one eyebrow and then to the edge of the other eyebrow. The number of hairs you need to pluck depends only on your preference. But usually less is better than more.

   • Use your finger to determine how far apart your eyebrows should be. Place thumb right between the eyebrows and remove the hairs that are located under the thumb.
   • If you remove too many hairs, it will ruin the shape of your eyebrows and make them thinner. Usually guys don't like thin eyebrows.

4. Remove excess hairs that grow above and below the main brow line. Use tweezers to find hairs that start well above the top edge of the eyebrow. Remove these single hairs. Look for hairs that grow well below the lower edge of the eyebrow (closer to the eyelid). Remove them.

How to trim hairs with an eyebrow trimmer

Take a beard or eyebrow trimmer. If you are going to purchase such a device, it is better to buy an electric trimmer specifically designed for eyebrow shaping. But if you have a beard trimmer, you can use it. It is not recommended to use a hair clipper because the blade is too wide and will not be very precise when trimming your eyebrows.
