Knitted overalls for small children with knitting needles. For the little ones overalls

In any weather, for a newborn baby or an older toddler, there is nothing more practical than a children's knitted jumpsuit. For going out, walking in the yard, visiting, playing and relaxing at home, a children's knitted jumpsuit is useful. This universal idea easily adapts to a variety of tasks, temperature conditions, style trends and design ideas. For warm days, children's models are made from light breathable yarn, for cooler days - from woolen yarn or mixed threads.

To knit a jumpsuit, including for a newborn, you will need some free time, suitable threads, knitting needles, a hook or a knitting needle. For knitting patterns, it is useful to purchase special additional knitting needles or pins.

In the article, we will consider the issue of choosing threads for knitting and description of the principles of knitting children's overalls with their own hands.

Model and color

The choice of model depends on the purpose, age, conditions of use and the skill level of the knitter.

When planning clothes for the smallest, it is advisable to pay attention to simple in design and the most functional children's models that are capable of create maximum comfort newborn.

The clothes of the child should be easy to care for and take a minimum of time to restore its properties (washing, ironing, cleaning, steaming).

Even for the youngest children, it is important to create models that are interesting from an aesthetic point of view. Therefore, when choosing the color and texture of the thread, you need to focus on the high quality of the yarn (hypoallergenic dyes, non-fading thread) and usefulness of color wave for the baby's vision.

It is better to postpone the purchase of knitting threads dyed in "acid" colors until the child reaches an older or adolescence.

material and texture

For newborn babies, we choose threads that are pleasant to the touch from cotton, bamboo or thin low-lint best quality yarn.

The absence of villi should be given special attention so as not to provoke the development of allergic reactions in the child due to the ingress of thread particles into the respiratory tract.

The yarn should be soft, not causing discomfort from contact with it.

In the absence of skin problems, options mixed with acrylic are acceptable.

Design, knitting method, complexity of pattern and finish

One and the same pattern can create a huge number variety of overalls for various purposes, differing in execution (on knitting needles or crochet), pattern pattern, finish, material and color of threads. Therefore, for a beginner knitter, it is better to choose the simplest and most concise models with a minimum number of difficult-to-implement elements. The same applies to knitting methods and patterns used.

In order for the work to bring joy to the needlewoman and to the one to whom the thing is intended, it is better for the first tests to arm yourself with those knitting tools that are already well mastered by the craftswoman. Even two structurally identical models, knitted with front stitch and garter stitch from the same yarn will look like completely different.

By combining the elements connected by these basic patterns, the novice knitter will be able to achieve the uniqueness of each thing she creates. On warm days, overalls with openwork inserts made of fine yarn will look good. For the cold season, bulk knitting in the form of weaves, braids, Aran knitting, jacquard and Tunisian knitting is suitable.

Tip: if the openwork seems too difficult to execute, you can go for a little knitting trick. For example, we knit a jumpsuit for a newborn to wear in the hot season. Take a thin thread, and knitting needles or a hook three or four times thicker than recommended for such yarn. We make the knitting itself more loose. To calculate the density of knitting per centimeter of the finished fabric, we make a sample by dialing ten loops and knitting 10 rows.

materials

Yarn:

  • composition: 100% wool, 25 g/85 m;
  • weight - 175/200/250/300 grams.

Tools:

  • knitting needles No. 2.75 or No. 3;
  • knitting needles No. 3 or No. 3.75;
  • hook No. 2.5 or No. 3;
  • accessories: buttons or buttons, colored or transparent.

Work description

  • We knit this part in the same way as the back pattern described above to a height of 29/35/40/47 cm. By this point, we have already done one decrease on both sides.
  • We knit 23/25/27/29 loops, and remove the remaining 45/49/53/57 loops on a knitting pin to form the left shelf later.

Right shelf:

Left shelf:

  • We return the loops previously removed to the knitting pin 45/49/53/57 and perform the last decrease in the same way as the back to get 44/48/52/56 loops.
  • Having knitted 38/43/48/54 cm from the first row, we will begin the design of the armhole, reducing eight like the back. The needle size should be 36/40/44/48.
  • At a height of 47/53/58/65 cm, we will remove 6/4/3/0 loops from the neck on an additional knitting needle, and then we will begin to close the loops from the side of the neck in each front row. On the size 68/74 cm we will close once six, once four, once three, once two and once one. On a size of 80/86 cm, we will close 13/18 loops once, once three, twice two and three times one.
  • At a height of 49/55/61/68 cm, we draw the line of the shoulders in the same way as the back, closing 14/16/18/20 loops.
  • Cast off the previously removed 6/4/3/0 sts.

Cast on 47/49/51/55 sts on needles No. 3 (No. 3.75). At the same time, knit with the front surface and add one on each side:

  • for size 68 - five times in every eighth row and twice in every sixth row;
  • for size 74 - twice in every eighth row and seven times in every sixth row;
  • for size 80 - five times in every eighth row and five times in every sixth row;
  • for size 86 - five times in every eighth row and six times in every sixth row.

We continue knitting with front stitch to the length of the fabric 16/18/21/23 cm and close once on each side of each second row of 5/5/6/6 loops.

Let's form the sleeve sleeve, closing:

  • on size 68 once four, once three, once four and once five loops; for size 74 - once five loops, once four and twice five loops;
  • for size 80 - once 5 loops, once 4 loops, once 5 loops and once 6 loops;
  • for size 86 - once 6 loops, once 5 loops and 2 times 6 loops.

Having knitted up to 19/21/24/26 cm, close the remaining 19 loops.

Sew the shoulder line, sew in the sleeves, complete the side seams and sleeves.

Neck:

Cast on needles No. 2.75 (No. 3) from the front side 108/112/120/124 loops along the edge of the neck. Then we knit two rows of garter stitch (facial).

We complete the design of the neckline - starting from the wrong side, we knit one and a half centimeters with an elastic band 2 × 2 with an edge loop at the beginning of each row and close everything.

Pants fastening:

We cast on needles No. 2.75 (No. 3) 7 loops and knit 37/43/49/57 cm with an elastic band 1 × 1 with an edge loop at the beginning of each row. Let's close everything and make another plank.

Sew the straps to the inner and outer edges of the legs. We will install evenly 7/7/9/9 buttons on the straps, placing one between the legs, and divide the rest into two legs.

If desired, install on the button on the sleeves to adjust the width.

We decorate the neck with buttons or buttons.

To finish, let's steam the finished product.

With the birth of a baby, many mothers want to dress him in beautiful clothes created by themselves. But because of inexperience, they do not know where to start.

This article contains materials that can help even the most inexperienced knitter to make a wonderful thing.

For knitting, you will need yarn, knitting needles or a hook and a knitting needle. You can buy these things by visiting the handicraft store, which is available in any city.

But before you go shopping, decide on the model that you will implement.

Yarn

When buying yarn, base your choice on the following points.
Consider the season for which the knitted baby jumpsuit is intended.

  • For a winter model, it is better to choose a yarn containing alpaca or merino wool with the addition of high-quality acrylic.
  • For the summer version, cotton, viscose and silk are suitable.
  • High quality acrylic items are suitable for any season.

Knitting needles and needles

The needles are preferably selected based on the following method. We fold the thread of yarn you have chosen for the future product in half, twist it slightly and compare the diameter of the resulting thickness with the thickness of the knitting needle being purchased. If it matches, then the knitting needles are guaranteed to fit.

A knitting needle will come in handy for assembling the finished product. Its distinguishing feature is a blunt tip that will not destroy the structure of the yarn fiber.

Details and pattern of a knitted jumpsuit

First of all, build a pattern for the future overalls for newborns and knit a knitting pattern. This will help you make correct calculations.

Using two rulers, count the number of loops that fit in a 10 cm piece. And it is also necessary to calculate the number of rows that fit into the same height.

Based on the data obtained, the required number of loops to be cast on is calculated, and the increase and decrease in the pattern is also calculated.

But if you do not want to make calculations yourself, then you can use ready-made calculations.

Attention! When using ready-made calculations, pay attention to the consistency of the density of the sample you linked with what is stated in the description.

The construction of a jumpsuit pattern can be made using the size of your baby. You can also use a printed pattern. The pattern below can serve as a sample pattern.

  • The first size refers to the age group from 0 to 3 months.
  • Size in brackets - from 3 to 6 months and above.

Calculation of loops for knitting a hood

When knitting a jumpsuit with a hood, this detail will have to be given extra attention.

  • At the age of 0 to 3 months, the volume of the baby's head is 35-40 centimeters.
  • At the age of 3 to 6 months, these figures are 42-44 centimeters.

By linking the sample according to these indicators, you can independently calculate the scheme for adding and decreasing the hood of the product.

Knitting overalls with knitting needles

Knitting needles are the simplest knitting device that even the most inexperienced knitter can master.

The easiest way for the first experience is to take a model knitted with front stitch for a sample. This type of knitting is based on knitting all the loops of the outer side with front loops, and the wrong side, respectively, with purl loops.

For a more attractive result, use yarn of a different color. The best solution would be to make cuffs and piping in a contrasting color or a smooth transition from one to another color.

For products intended for babies up to three months, pastel colors are better suited, while older children prefer contrasting, bright colors.

There are several stages of knitting that significantly affect the result.

Step by step instructions for beginners

  • For the first job, choose simple models with diagrams and a detailed description.
  • No need to look for options whose beauty is based on the complexity of the knitted pattern. It is better to combine a spectacular color combination and the front surface.

Important: never combine a complex pattern and color variety in a model, it looks vulgar and ridiculous.

  • For the first work, yarn of medium thickness (approximately 300 meters per 100 g) and knitting needles with a thickness of 3.5 are best suited. Using tools with a thicker diameter will result in a very loose knit.
  • The same will happen when using thin yarn. If you take thick yarn, you will get a thing that is rough to the touch. When used, it will irritate the delicate skin of babies.
  • For an inexperienced knitter, it is ideal for the first incarnation to choose the raglan option. This is a fairly simple option in execution and calculations. It is also the easiest to assemble.

Scheme and description of knitting on top of a jumpsuit with a raglan sleeve

The construction of the calculation of the dialed loops, as well as additions and decreases, entirely depends on the size of the girth of your child's neck.

It is this indicator that affects the number of loops cast on in the initial row.

  • Subtract 8 loops from the resulting quantity (2 pieces for each raglan line).
  • The rest is divided into three parts. Two equal ones are the front and back, the third part is divided in half for the sleeves.
  • When making the necessary additions, keep in mind that there should be twice as much increase on the front and back as on the sleeves.
  • Another important point is that when dividing knitting into four parts, it is necessary to knit several incomplete rows for the back.

The figure below shows an approximate example of calculating raglan for knitting with a pattern of fig.

This pattern, made by alternating knit and purl stitches, is the most used pattern for children's clothing.

Also a very effective move is the use of braids on the raglan line of weaves.

Knitting pattern for overalls "bear" with ears

The next most popular overall for babies is a model made in the form of a funny bear costume, on the hood of which there are ears. It is the last detail that gives this thing a unique tenderness and charm.

For the execution of this model, it is great to approach the yarn of a single color.

It is best not to use intricate patterns in it. Knit the overalls using the raglan technique or from the bottom up according to the above pattern.

And after assembly, simply sew ovals connected in advance to the hood, imitating animal ears. Or crochet them.

Embroidered eyes just below will help to enhance the cute effect.

Attention! Do not use plastic eyes suitable for sewing for this purpose, as they can injure the delicate skin of the child.

It will be useful for a novice craftswoman to pre-watch a video with knitting tips.

Crochet overalls for a newborn

A crochet jumpsuit for a newborn is a much more complex model than a knitted one.

  • Firstly, crochet pattern patterns are more complicated than knitting patterns.
  • Secondly, such a model will require more yarn.
  • Thirdly, be patient, you will need it, because it will take you relatively more time to implement this type of overalls.

Completing of the work

But if you still decide to risk this experiment, then you should know a few simple rules and follow them step by step.

  • For this type of product, thin yarn is required. It is best to use samples with indicators of 500 meters in 100 grams. If you take a thicker yarn, at the exit you will get a rough fabric that will rub your baby's delicate body.
  • Use simple combinations of patterns in the model: various options for columns, shells and fans.
  • Hook ideally use 2.0-2.5. To get a plastic and pleasant thing, this tool is perfect. A thicker number will create through holes and require the use of a lining.
  • As in knitting, all calculations are based on measuring the knitted sample and making a pattern. It is for them that the knitting pattern for children's overalls is calculated.
    Here is one of the patterns that you can use as an example.

Crocheted baby clothes have a special charm and charm. Unlike spokes, these models have a special tenderness and sophistication.

It is best to use crochet for summer jumpsuits. They are not so dense and allow the child's skin to breathe freely.

And finally, a few recommendations

  • Do not use complex openwork for infant overalls.
  • The most beautiful children's clothing is made in a discreet, somewhat even strict manner.
  • If you want to decorate your baby's attire, use embroidery.
  • Do not decorate knitwear with beads and brooches. Once in children's hands, they can do a lot of trouble.
  • If you are doing a model with a fastener in front, be aware that it is enough to knit four additional rows to knit the strap.
  • Use buttons without stems to make fasteners. Firstly, they are more securely fastened and it will be more difficult for the baby to unscrew them. Secondly, they, having no sharp protrusions, are not pressed into delicate skin.

Knitted jumpsuit is a versatile baby clothes that will come in handy in any season. You can knit such a little thing for your crumbs with knitting needles and crochet. Depending on the knitting and yarn chosen, you can get a winter, summer or demi-season option.

How to choose yarn and knitting method

When it comes to children's things, you can not save! A knitted thing will turn out cheaper than a store-bought one, so it’s better to choose yarn of excellent quality. For newborns, cotton or soft woolen threads are suitable, a small amount of acrylic is allowed. The main thing is to check when buying that the yarn is pleasant to the touch and does not prick.

The color scheme can be absolutely any, the one that is pleasant for mom, but it is better to leave too bright acid colors on the store shelf. If not very high-quality dyes were used, then the product can cause allergies in the crumbs and the work will go down the drain.

A lot depends on the knitting method and the chosen pattern. The same model can be connected in different ways, and the finished things will be completely different from each other. In addition, if openwork knitting is chosen, then such a product will look great in summer, and tight-knit overalls will warm the baby in winter and in demi-season weather.

Romper for a newborn, crocheted

The model is convenient because the clasp runs along the entire length from the throat to the heels, thanks to which it will not be difficult to dress and undress even a newborn baby who does not yet hold his head. And the hood is convenient because you do not need to put several hats on your baby.

Warm hoodie for cooler weather

For work you will need:

  • Soft yarn "grass" - 200 g. You can use a thread that was originally dyed in different colors. So, the finished thing will be bright and boring.
  • Contrasting bouclé yarn for edging - 50 g.
  • Small buttons - 14 pcs.
  • Crochet hook No. 3.5.

Note: If other yarn is used, then the hook must be selected individually, focusing on the knitting density - 16 loops in length per 10 cm of knitted fabric.

Scheme and pattern for knitting:

The pattern is designed for a product of size 56-62 (for children from 0 to 3 months)

Progress:

A beautiful and fashionable jumpsuit for a newborn is ready!

Knitted jumpsuit

If crocheting is not too attractive, then you can try to knit a beautiful jumpsuit for a baby with knitting needles. For this model, a pattern is not required.

Versatile and uncomplicated in execution, the model is suitable for babies of any gender.

For work you will need:

  • Blue threads (AlizeBabySofty) - 2 skeins or 100 g.
  • White threads (AlizeBabySofty) - 1 skein (50 g).
  • White threads (AlizeBabyWool) for tying - about 20 g.
  • Spokes. It is better to take knitting needles on a fishing line - this will greatly facilitate the work.
  • Buttons for fastening - 5 pcs.

Progress:

  1. Knitting starts from the bottom of the legs. To do this, you need to dial 40 loops with an elastic band (2x2) and knit 10 rows.

  2. The yarn used is white, folded into two threads

  3. After that, you need to enter the blue thread into knitting and continue to knit the legs, making 8 additional loops in the first row.

  4. Pants are knitted in stockinette stitch

  5. Next, you need to knit a leg, making increments evenly to reach 56 loops at the very top (total leg height 48 rows).

  6. The knitted leg looks like this

    And so the trouser leg will look in the finished product

  7. Next, you need to tie the second leg in the same way as the first.

  8. This is what the end result will look like

  9. Next, you need to turn over all the knitting so that the work goes in a single canvas.

  10. We knit with a viscous “front surface” about 5 cm

  11. Now you need to make a shelf for the fastener. To the base, you need to dial 8 additional loops and knit them in stocking stitch.

  12. When knitting shelves, you need to remember about the loops for the fastener (they are located approximately every 14 rows). You can make them like this: two loops close in one row, and in the next in this place you need to make 2 yarn over

    This knitting continues to the armpit area (approximately 14 cm)

    This is what the folded jumpsuit looks like at this stage

  13. Now you need to break the product into three main parts: 2 front shelves (28 loops each + 8 additional strap loops on the right shelf) and back (65 loops).

  14. Each of the three parts should be knitted separately by 12 cm. Approaching the top of the knitting, several decreases should be made with the closing of the loops

    This is what knitting looks like in expanded form

    So, if you turn

  15. Now you need to separately knit the sleeves. First you need to dial 30 loops with an elastic band (2x2) and knit 10 rows.

  16. It should turn out the same as the cuffs on the legs

  17. Then you can take another yarn or continue to knit with the same one, adding 6 loops.

  18. It should turn out like this

  19. Further, a sleeve 22 cm long is knitted. Knitting is the front surface.

  20. Gradually, it is necessary to add loops so that by the end of the knitting of the sleeve they come out 44

  21. Similarly, you need to tie the second sleeve.

  22. You need to make sure that both sleeves are the same

  23. Now you can sew all the details. It is better to do this with the same yarn that knitted, then the seams will be invisible.

  24. This is how the almost knitted jumpsuit looks like

  25. You can add a hood to the item. To do this, you need to dial 88 loops and knit them with a double hollow elastic band. This is done so that later a drawstring can be inserted into the hood.

  26. The elastic is knitted 12 rows, then the blue thread is turned on. 4 rows are knitted in blue and the loops are reduced so that there are 75 of them

  27. Further, the hood is knitted with white threads of 22 rows.

  28. It should turn out like this

  29. After that, the workpiece must be divided into three equal parts (25 loops each) and continue knitting the middle part of the hood, capturing the extreme loops from the side halves.

  30. Knitting should look like this

  31. So you need to knit until the loops on the adjacent halves of the hood run out.
  32. The finished product is designed for a child 2-4 months (approximate size 62-68)

    It took 5-6 hours of free time for all the work, but in the end we got a nice exclusive little thing. The finished jumpsuit must be washed, dried and thoroughly steamed with an iron.

    No need to waste time! Just a few hours of work, and a knitted jumpsuit will definitely take its rightful place in the baby's dowry.

Pants

The optimal knitted jumpsuit for a baby is with a fastener in front, so that you can easily put it on the unbuttoned clothes of a sleeping or awake baby, fasten and unfasten the buttons. In addition, the fittings will not disturb the lying child. The model is recommended, starting from the legs, with yarn in one or two additions. A simple jumpsuit is done in stockinette stitch, two colors can be alternated (blue - white, pink - white).

First, make straight and reverse rows of elastic - the bottom of one leg. To do this, dial 40 loops on the knitting needles and knit, alternating 1 front and 1 wrong side, 10 rows. Estimate the height and width of the part, if necessary, adjust the number of initial loops. It all depends on the thickness of the yarn and the density of your knitting.

When the cuff fabric is completed, go to the front surface and from the first row, carry out uniform increases in eight loops. Having knitted the leg of the desired length, closer to the end of the fabric, repeat the addition of loops at the same intervals of the row so that there are 56 loops on the knitting needles in the last row (for overalls with a total length of 63-64 cm). Knit the second part according to the finished pattern.

Back and front

Thread the legs on knitting needles with fishing line and continue to knit the jumpsuit with the front stitch, combining the parts into one canvas. After 4-5 cm, begin to form the clasp. To do this, from one edge of knitting, dial 8 loops for the strap, at equal intervals close a pair of thread arches (button holes). In subsequent rows, over the resulting holes, perform a couple of crochets. In total, it is enough to make 5-6 holes.

Knit the strap of the overalls with a height of 14-15 cm, then proceed to the formation of armholes for the subsequent sewing in of the sleeves. Divide the canvas into 3 segments: a shelf with a bar (in this example, 36 loops); shelf without strap (28); back (56). At 12 cm in height, perform each part separately, then at the top of the main part of the overalls, evenly make a few decreases and complete knitting.

Sleeves, hood and important details

You have almost succeeded in knitting a jumpsuit. Fold its main part and evaluate whether the size is correct, whether the armholes are high enough. Perform each sleeve in the following sequence:

Dial three dozen loops;

With a 1x1 elastic band, tie a dozen rows;

Perform 6 increments evenly;

Knit the sleeves of the jumpsuit with the front stitch;

Gradually add loops until you have 44 loops at the end of the pieces on the needles;

Having made 22 cm of the front surface, close the loops.

Gather the pieces of baby clothes together and sew the connecting seams. In fact, in front of you is a knitted jumpsuit for, if desired, it can be supplemented with a comfortable one. To do this, start a set of 88 thread bows, choosing a double hollow elastic band to create the drawstring. After 12 rows (6 on each side), make 26 rows in stockinette stitch, making even decreases up to 75 loops.

Now divide the hood into 4 identical segments and start knitting the center, grabbing the edge thread arches of the adjacent parts of the fabric. When the loops run out on the right and left sides of the knitting, that is, the “heel” hood is formed, all that remains is to sew it to the knitted jumpsuit. The final touches are to insert a tie into the drawstring and sew on the buttons for the fastener.

A warm knitted jumpsuit for a newborn is an indispensable thing for the autumn-winter season. The ability to choose hypoallergenic natural materials and the color scheme of interest, the absence of elastic bands, ease of use - these are just some of the advantages of handmade children's gizmos. We offer a simple master class with detailed step-by-step photos for knitting a jumpsuit with knitting needles.

We select yarn and knitting needles

This seamless romper is knitted from the neckline top down in raglan, which is comfortable and practical. If the baby grows quickly, you can simply dissolve the bottom of the sleeves and panties and knit as much as you see fit, even increasing the product for a toddler of 6-12 months.

The consumption of yarn for such a jumpsuit is small, about 5 skeins of 50 g each, the length of the thread is 86 cm. We will knit a combined product, so it looks prettier and more elegant. We use 3.5 mm knitting needles. A hook for tying buttons is also useful.

Deciding on sizes

Before you start knitting, be sure to make a test sample of your yarn. Even if you use exactly the same materials and knitting needles, you may end up with a different density of the product and, accordingly, a different size. This jumpsuit is suitable for both boys and girls aged about 3 months.

Knitting pattern

We collect 65 loops and knit an elastic band 2x2 about 4 cm. This will be enough for the collar to cover the neck of the baby.

This is how the rubber band should turn out.

Now we turn on the thread of a contrasting color. It is better to knit the first row from the wrong side so that the transition is not visible.

This is how the back side will look like:

Now let's start knitting raglan. We divide our product into two shelves, sleeves and back. Plus two raglan loops. The calculation will be as follows: 11 loops on the shelves, 8 on raglan, 9 on the sleeves, 18 on the back.
Knit the first 11 stitches:

We make a crochet - this will be the beginning of our raglan. Next, we knit two knit stitches, and again one crochet.

We knit further 9 loops of the sleeve, again one crochet, two facial loops, one crochet.

We knit 18 loops of the back, yarn over again, two facial ones, yarn over. And then the remaining loops: 9 - on the sleeves, 2 - on the raglan, 11 - shelves.

Thanks to this scheme, the raglan will be indicated by itself, and apart from the increases, it will be very easy for you to knit it.

Little secret! So that there are no holes in the raglan (although this is not a departure from the rules of knitting - you can, if it’s easier for you, knit the yarn over from the wrong side with just the wrong loops without twisting them), on the wrong side we knit the yarn in this way: we turn it over the back wall and knit with purl stitch.

When there are 26 loops on the knitting needles for the shelves, 40 for the sleeves and 48 for the backs, you will get this beginning of the jumpsuit:

Now we will transfer the loops of the sleeve to the spare thread:

Here's what happens:

We continue to knit the shelves and the back in one piece to a certain length.

In this case, the size to the gusset is 28 cm:

Having knitted 28 cm, we proceed to the pants. Here the product is folded in half, so that it is more convenient for you to see exactly how the panties will be outlined. It turns out, for one leg - one half of the shelf and half of the back. Just divide the back loops in half.

We start knitting the gusset - this is a small extension that helps the baby's legs move more freely. Let's make only five additions to the bevel (gusset). In the front rows, we remove the first, edge, loop. We make an increase for the back wall. In the purl rows we knit without additions.

We make additions at the beginning and at the end of our panties. This is the extension you will get:

Having added five loops, now let's subtract them so that the gusset has a finished look. Also in the front rows, remove the edge loop and knit the next two loops together. We repeat five times.

It turns out such a bevel for the expansion:

It remains to tie the elastic band on the pants so that they look finished. To do this, we again connect the contrasting thread from the wrong side to work. And with the front - we knit with an elastic band 2x2. So the transition will not be noticeable.

An elastic band can also be tied to any convenient length. In this case, it comes with a collar, so we make it 5 cm in size.

Similarly, we knit the second leg. After that, you need to sew panties. First we sew the gusset itself. This will be our extension.

This is how it looks from the inside and from the front, respectively:

We figured out the pants, now let's proceed to the sleeves of the overalls. To do this, we will re-shoot our loops on knitting needles from an additional thread.

To get an even number of loops and no holes, add two loops near the raglan - under the armpits - at the beginning and at the end.

As a result, there are 15 loops on each knitting needle:

We knit 10 cm with a straight cloth. Let's finish the sleeve in the same way as the pants - with a 2x2 elastic band.

We knit an elastic band 5 cm, it will also be with a collar:
