Holidays in education. professional holidays

An extensive list of professional holidays once again proves that every profession and occupation can be prestigious and important. Each work has its own specifics and its calling. And to prove its worth, there are approved professional holidays.

What does professional holiday mean?

Unlike national and state holidays, professional holidays are not days off and are celebrated not by all categories of citizens, but only by those who belong to a particular profession.

So what holidays can be called professional? First of all, those that are approved by law by the government of a particular country. Of course, an approximate list, as well as a calendar with the dates of professional holidays in different states, has common features. Moreover, there are holidays that have an international status.

Depending on the specifics of the country, on the presence of natural resources on its territory and the basis for the development of a particular industry, representatives of various professions may or may not be present. The main thing is that such days are an additional reason to congratulate colleagues, friends and relatives and celebrate their professional achievements.

Why is it important to celebrate professional holidays?

This excellent tradition, which originated in the world for a long time, serves as an occasion to feel the significance of one's work and pride in one's work done. Every year there are more and more new professions that are added to the already existing list. And the main function of the new holidays is the creation of new social groups, the acceptance by society of a new social space and its representatives.

The main mission of any professional holiday is to unite employees into a single team, strengthen relationships, especially through the opportunity to get to know colleagues in a new informal setting.

In addition, a common celebration is an intermediate summing up of results, achievements, evaluation and awarding of the best, setting new goals and horizons.

In Russia and Ukraine, professional holidays are very fond of and they certainly congratulate colleagues, family members, and friends on them.

Gifts for professional holidays

Congratulating colleagues in an original and relevant way is the key to success and good mood. Giving a standard and ordinary gift is not interesting and trite. After all, I so want to note the value and peculiarity of a particular profession.

For example, a 3D pen, a very useful and unusual gadget, will be an excellent gift for an engineer and a mechanical engineer. And the postman, who is forced to deliver mail at any time of the year, day and night, and in any weather, will like a comfortable bag, good shoes or a shocker as a means of self-defense.

Professional motorists can be presented with a road coffee maker and other gadgets powered by a cigarette lighter, driving glasses or a car radio with their favorite discs.

Gifts for professional military holidays can be a commander's watch, a portrait on canvas, or a certificate to a shooting gallery for a shooting master class.

On and Teacher's Day, it is best to prepare a gift with your own hands with your child. This can be a supply for pens and pencils, a collage or a tree with portraits of pupils and students. Or you can present a book, an original notebook or an interesting textbook.

A tourist on his professional day can be presented with a compass, some of the mandatory equipment or camping furniture. In fact, there are a lot of useful devices for more comfortable tourism and travel.

If you need to congratulate an accountant on his professional holiday, the best gifts would be a hammock for legs, a money clip or a good leather purse, writing sets or an interestingly shaped paperweight.

Jerome of Stridon, one of the four Latin Fathers of the Church, was a man of mighty intellect and fiery temperament. He traveled extensively and in his youth made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Later, he retired for four years to the Chalkis desert, where he lived as an ascetic hermit. Here he studied the Hebrew and Chaldean languages and had, in his own words, "nothing but scorpions and wild beasts" for companions. In the desert, he heard the trumpets announcing the Last Judgment several times. In Western European painting, he is often depicted listening to angels blowing pipes over his head.

In 386 Jerome settled in Bethlehem. It was here that for many years he translated the Old and New Testaments into Latin. Eleven centuries later, his version was proclaimed by the Council of Trent as the official Latin text of the Holy Scriptures (Vulgate). In addition, it is believed that Jerome was the creator of the Glagolitic alphabet.

According to a popular parable, Jerome took a splinter out of the lion's paw, which has since become his devoted friend. The first banking operations date back to the times of the ancient world civilizations. But banks in the modern sense are quite young.

And the Russian banking system evolved according to European models and followed them. Today, the country's largest banks are full-fledged players on the world stage. And Sberbank of Russia was the first in the world rankings.

Created in 1841 for educational and charitable purposes, it quickly became one of the main elements of the country's financial system. Sberbank of Russia has changed organizationally and structurally many times, but the essence remains - universality, an extensive branch network, a constant expansion of the number of operations, the introduction of new services and service formats.

In the beginning there was the Word.... Then there were many words. And very soon the man realized that the words must be hidden. Thus began the birth of cryptography. Translated from ancient Greek, “cryptography” means “secret writing”. But even before the introduction of this concept, a person used the concealment of information using the methods available for his time. For example, during the reign of the dynasty of the Egyptian pharaohs, a rather peculiar method of transmitting a secret letter was used.

A slave, or rather, his head, was chosen as a carrier of information. The head was shaved bald and the text of the message was applied with waterproof vegetable paint. When the hair grew, it was sent to the addressee. After the slave carrier of information reached its destination, the hair was shaved off again and the applied text was read. For ease of processing, the head was previously removed from the shoulders. The main disadvantages of this method were the poor efficiency of message transmission and high unreliability. After all, in the process of traveling the carrier of the message, he could be killed, could get sick, and finally, just run away.

A new impetus to the development of encryption was given in connection with the advent of the wired telegraph and the invention of radio. The speed of information transmission has increased disproportionately, and more and more volumes of it were subject to interception and reading.

The events of 1917 abruptly stopped the development of Russia as a whole. The leaders of the young Soviet republic understood that it was extremely important and very urgent to create their own secret encryption service. By a separate order of Lenin, by order of the Revolutionary Military Council No. 217 dated 11/13/1918, the “Cipher Department of the Reporting and Organizational Department of the Organizational Directorate of the All-Russian General Staff” was created with a staff of 14 people.

As historical documents testify, it was on this day, November 14, in 1901, that the Russian Higher School of Social Sciences was opened in Paris, which some consider to be the first experience of a sociological faculty in the history of world science.

Lectures at this school were given by leading sociologists and politicians of Russia: M. Kovalevsky, N. Kareev, E. De Roberti, P. Milyukov, P. Lavrov and others.

Since 1994, this day has been regularly celebrated at the Faculty of Sociology of St. Petersburg University, where Russian academic (university) sociology was born.

On November 17, 1923, the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the RSFSR approved the Instruction to the District Warden. This normative legal document marked the beginning of the formation of the institute of precinct officers in the Russian police.

At present, more than 54,000 precinct police officers are serving in the city district departments of internal affairs. They reveal every second crime in the line of the public security police and about a quarter of the crimes in the line of the criminal police. They control more than 4 million people who are on preventive records of the internal affairs bodies.

It is no coincidence that the professional holiday of workers in the glass industry coincides with the birthday of the outstanding Russian scientist M.V. Lomonosov.

Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was the creator of the chemical production of glaze, glass, and porcelain. He developed the technology and formulation of colored glass, which he used to create mosaic paintings. Invented porcelain mass.

Representatives of almost all professions have their own holidays, but the situation with the professional holiday of Russian accountants is not at all easy. Not a single date is marked in red in the calendar in honor of the Accountant's Day.

There is no official Accountant's Day in Russia. But most accountants tend to celebrate this holiday on November 21, the day when Russian President Boris Yeltsin signed the Accounting Law in 1996. By the way, November 21 is also the Day of the tax authorities, which once again indicates a strong bond between these specialties.

But Ukrainian accountants celebrate Accountant's Day on July 16, in Ukraine this holiday is officially approved. And there are no differences. In fraternal Belarus, it is also possible that such a holiday will be adopted at the state level very soon. Discussions for such a move are ongoing.

It is on the clear and careful work of accountants that not only the success of a single enterprise, but also the economy of the entire state depends. Today, more than 3.5 million people of this profession work in Russia.

On this day, in 1996, thanks to the efforts of the Regional Public Organization, the Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Russian Federation approved the qualifications for the position of “Appraiser” (property valuation expert).

For the first time, a request for professional action by appraisers in Russia was formulated in the first version of the Law on Privatization of State and Municipal Property, adopted in 1991.

The date of the annual celebration - the third Saturday of December, on the eve of the long New Year holidays, was determined in 1996.

The idea was initiated by the Moscow Professional Guild, which decided that realtors had done enough to form a civilized real estate market and were ripe to celebrate their achievements at their own professional holiday.

Among the guests of honor of the festive evenings dedicated to the professional holiday are representatives of executive authorities, friendly public organizations, and deputies.

Courier (German: Feldjager) is a military courier for the delivery of the most important government documents.

On this day in 1796, the Courier Corps was established in Russia by the Decree of Emperor Paul I. Not once since that day did the courier service cease its activities, even during the revolution. Until now, this service remains one of the most secret.

The professional holiday of Russian security officers is celebrated on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated December 20, 1995 “On the Establishment of the Day of the Worker of the Security Bodies of the Russian Federation”.

Previously, this holiday was called Chekist Day. The Day of the Worker of the Security Bodies of Russia, as an official professional holiday, begins its report in 1995.

It was introduced by decree of the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin. Currently, this is a professional holiday for employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the Federal Security Service (FSO) and the Main Directorate for Special Programs of the President of the Russian Federation. In the Soviet period, all these special services, as main departments, were part of the structure of the State Security Committee (KGB) of the USSR.

The Day of the Rescuer was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 26, 1995 N 1306 “On the Establishment of the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation”.

It was on this day in 1990 that the Russian Rescue Corps was formed by the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR. The date of adoption of this resolution is considered the time of the formation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and is the Day of the Rescuer.

The need to create the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was caused by the constantly growing number of emergency situations (ES) of a natural, man-made and epidemiological nature. They often become the cause of death and suffering of people, the destruction of material values.

Emergencies occur in case of accidents on transport highways and water surfaces, on main pipelines, in case of fires and explosions in residential and social buildings, on technological equipment of industrial facilities, when unexploded ordnance is detected and neutralized, when chemically hazardous and radioactive substances are released, terrorism , hurricanes, heavy rains and snowfalls, floods, epidemics, etc.

Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations play a key role in search and rescue operations. They are always the first where people need help: in the rubble of destroyed buildings, in the smoke and fire of fires, in mangled vehicles, in flooded areas. They are constantly on duty, promptly responding to any signals about the need to provide assistance to people in trouble.

On the account of the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a huge number of search and rescue operations have been carried out, tens of thousands of saved lives, hundreds of thousands of cases of providing assistance to victims.

Some of them are declared holidays. Non-working holidays are listed in Art. 112 of the Labor Code of Russia. These days, official solemn events are held, the state flag is raised.

Professional holidays in Russia are established in recognition of the merits of specialists in various fields of activity. Most of them are fixed by the decree of the President of the country or other normative act and celebrated at the state level. Some are informal.

International holidays are of global importance. They are celebrated all over the world. Set by international organizations: UN, UNESCO, WHO, etc.

Church (Orthodox) holidays are days of remembrance of sacred events from the life of Jesus Christ, the Most Holy Theotokos, John the Baptist or veneration of the memory of saints.

Folk holidays are the spiritual heritage of the ancestors. Most of them are connected with the events of the church calendar. Some originated in pagan times. Folk holidays have rich interesting traditions, customs and signs.

Unusual holidays - events that are original: dedicated to inventions, funny objects, fairy-tale characters, etc.

Usually, parents scare small children who do not show diligence in their studies with the fate of the janitor in the future. However, every professional is important for the country, whether he is a doctor or a shoemaker.

Professional holidays in Russia

Some dates are celebrated on a grand scale throughout the country, others are celebrated modestly, in a narrow circle of like-minded people, associates and family members. And there are days marked by the state, but known to a few, even the perpetrators themselves sometimes do not know when their work can be officially glorified.

Already somewhere, where, but in Mother Russia people love to take a walk. So why not beat yourself in the chest at least once a year, boasting of knowledge, experience and self-importance?!
